The "king of Salem " and the "prince of Peace" are the same idea.
Jesus always said...."peace be with you", and He is the Peace on Earth.
El Elyon 'most high God", is the same idea.
He brought "bread and wine" (Christ's blood and body), and deals with Abraham, who is the "father of our faith".

Jesus The Christ is "after the order of Melchizedek".

"King of Righteousness",
AMEN - Beautiful - Thank You

Amen

Thou shalt call his name Jesus , Lord of lords and King of kings , the prince of life ,
it sounds scary to some but the book is a wheel chair the word is with in it take great faith like walking on water to simply be the word
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:13-
forever leaning is like forever waiting for god the 2 witnesses
you mean the law that’s written and prophets that are written ? Those two witnesses ?

Melchizedek king of rightness = Jesus? A christopany
According to the writer of Hebrews, Melchizedek was "without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life". In contrast, Jesus' (earthly) father and mother, genealogy, beginning of days (both conception and birth) and death are all recorded in Scripture. For this reason I don't agree that Melchizedek was a Christophany.

The term "sola Scriptura" was originally a reaction to the Catholic idea that the primary authority for theological truth was the magisterium. So far, nothing in this thread has addressed that.
Well maybe you have not read all the posts that declare Sola Scriptura.
To insinuate that nothing was given so far, says something of your motives.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1

John 1:1 is the 'Beginning' of understanding Sola Scriptura.

Maybe you missed this posting info:
Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or informed Him as His counselor?
Whom did He consult to enlighten Him, and who taught Him the paths of justice?
Who imparted knowledge to Him and showed Him the way of understanding? Isaiah 40: 13-14

AND

Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Do not add to His words, lest He rebuke you and prove you a liar. Proverbs 30: 5-6

SOLA SCRIPTURA where idols are crushed to dust, where religion dies, where men are made ALIVE and
where God is Glorified.

melchezidek is simply another priesthood that existed before the Leviticle who served over the law

melchezidek was about Abraham’s promise not the law for the levites it was 430 years before the law when he blessed Abraham and brought forth the bread and wine of communion

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭14:18-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

all this occurred before the law was given , and before the leviticle order of Aaron was exclusively established in Moses law, when the priesthood changed from melchezideks order , the law also changed and the levites became a shadow of the priesthood order of God as the law was a shadow of the gospel

“If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest: (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:) ( psalm 110:4)

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's:

for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity;

but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:11-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Melchezidek really speaks of Christ and the New Testament before the law enters into the earth and reappeared as he fulfilled it and gave the new .

Jesus is the high priest but has nothing to do with the leviticle priesthood of the law he wasn’t allowed to be a priest of the law he wasn’t Levite , his priesthood is from the beginning and theirs is added in because of sin so they the sinners were also the temporary priests presiding over a temporary law

so he melchezidek really is connected to Christ and the New Testament but notice once the law came no one heard about melchezidek accept in one or teo
Mentions in prophecy that there would rise up a priest from this order of melchezidek later and we know now he has come and entered into our place of calling

“Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It really was a prophetic foretelling of the new order and way opened by Christ that man could enter into heaven through him leviticle preistfood and law can never offer the same it only ends in death for even the priests because they too were sinners

Christ exists forever and serves in Gods presence in order to bear our sins and intercede on our behalf

So we have confidence as the law and levites could never approach or even suggest

Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he is advocating our cause before the lord and interceding on our behalf forever so we can approach the light and not be afraid

No, i clearly understood your point - and addressed it.

Sola Scriptura is not limited to Luther and the catholic church.

This thread is for those who want to increase their faith in God through Scripture on It's Own Virtue = Sola Scriptura.
Not intended for a history lesson on Luther vs RCC - maybe you should start a new Thread on that historical aspect.

God's emphasis on Sola Scriptura is CRUCIAL to everyone who seeks Truth.

I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book:
If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city, which are described in this book.
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Revelation 22: 18-22

Firstly, sola scriptura meant Scripture was the supreme authority over the church. It did not mean Scripture was the only authority. Luther, Calvin, and the other reformers used other authorities like reason and tradition. They developed arguments using logic (reason) and learned from the writings of past Christians (tradition) as they explored the Bible. Yet the Bible was the supreme authority that ruled reason and tradition because Scripture alone was infallible precisely because it is God’s word. All other authorities (including church leadership) were fallible and must submit to Scripture. As Heinrich Bullinger said: “As God’s word is confirmed by no human authority, so no human power is able to weaken its strength”[Ok god is not the bible but he is the word]The bible is the staff ]god is the shepherd

Yes I felt that very spirit in this This thread often I purposely shut up because I don’t want to derail the subject but the subject is my faith letting the word of God developed and construct our faith as we are made able to hear it

I love this thread and your open spirit to Gods word thank you so much for this thread , it has potential to be one that would edify many and teach us the secret of the four soils and the word of the kingdom doing it’s work in our hearts and mind

I don't see how you can claim that God "emphasizes" "sola Scriptura" when His word discusses other means of guidance such as the direction and instruction of the Holy Spirit, interactions with angels, and learning from other believers. The quote you used doesn't even discuss 'sola Scriptura'; it's about adding or removing, not "Scripture alone".

Further, your use of the term is misleading. "Sola Scriptura" is a Latin phrase originating in a time when the use of Latin was much more common. While people are free to use words and terms however they like, they are not free to redefine them for others. The term has a specific meaning and a specific context, which is different from your explanation of it.

This is a low level Children's Thread for God's Children - Not suitable for higher educational minds as yourself - it will dissappoint you.

Then Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
