It is a serious question. When I am doing my NEST duties. NEST means Nuclear Search Support Team. I often give orders, directions to Military, Police and many others. For some reason that age group can not even follow outlined written directions and may set off a device.
With that age group I must put older generations over them to keep them from blowing up a lot of people. We must train the younger generations to take over when we are in heaven. Yes, most NEST Officers are Christians or Jewish. We avoid putting those in the cults in charge since we can not predict what they are up to. Think of Jonestown, Heavens gate and others like them. It is better to play it safe when dealing with those under the control of others whose motives you do not know. We did have some JWs and Mormons want to join our ranks and they came out as unstable on our psych tests. I was one of the people who started NEST in the 1970's. A good book is

My role: I wrote some fictional articles in military magazines about domestic terrorism. A General read my articles. In California in one of their cities, someone called the Mayor claiming to have a nuke that he was going to set off. I was called and sent there by fighter Jet along with the short list of people I gave him. We determined there was no nuke in the area. The Governor went of TV and thumb his noise at him. Some of my articles predicted modern terrorist events like 911 and other bombings. The city may have been LA, my memory is poor today.

I also, have noticed store managers tell someone in that age group to do something with simple verbal instructions that the younger group was unable to manage or complete.

Direct reasons: entitlement, brought on by poor parenting; and poor education, brought on by poor electing.

Both of which put the onus on the previous generation.

I remember when I first started out in the workplace all the old guys would mutter the same type of things..young folk today, can't do this and can't do that. And yet they tel you in their day the 'olds' said the exact same thing. But I suppose those youngsters after 20,30.40 years of work experience will have earned the right to say the exact same things - The youngsters of today!!!.

or it's maybe they just give you the dodo's to work with, that can happen?

Ahhh, the [Formidable] Years (16-35)..

I call it the Form-it-able Years.

Because those are the years we [mess up] the most. And if not careful, we [FORM] a life that [IT] is not [ABLE] to survive on. Whether your Mistakes were Lawful, Damage to Credit, many quick bad Relationships/Marriages, to thinking one is Invincible, those Results follow you for a very long time, some, even forever.

You might consider having this moved to the "Miscellaneous" section. Since dumbing down became the norm, and victimhood became fashionable, we see those results in what you are saying.

To answer your question look up the trends of 20 yrs ago. How society was and the pop culture of raising a child.
The Lord expressed over and over on the generations to come and how we should raise our children.
A child in most cases are a product of his up bringing I say in most cases because there are those that do rebel against that which is good.
Young parents ....well ...most parents never consider the consequences of not disciplining and instilling values into there children.
Most seem to strive to be that friend or cool parent.
The proverbs say train up a child in the way they should go...not in the way they want to go😕😕😕

2. Elders being bad teachers and bad examples themselves.

Our general culture is sick. All races. All genders. All generations.

I hope the next Christian generation is obedient to the elders within their family, church, and (in private cases) school, but everybody else will tell you to bow to the golden statue and throw your young in the pot. Woe unto them.

but there are always exceptions...I know of quite a few...and I just saw potters said the same

At 77, I still go to individuals much younger than UI to learn. I have witnessed young people being as you described but I have wtnessed just as many elderly being the same.
There was a song in a movie calld simply "Kids." It Started out something like, "Kids! What's the matter with kids today?" So I suppose it is an ever present condition, but I do believe some, of those kids are old too.

Studies have found the age group in the OP were hardwired for defecit in holding long term attention spans by children's television programming as children. Sesame street, Romper room, etc...

I doubt it would be the case in your field, but at a local store here management has started to hire stockers with a reading defesit.
It shows.
Left unmanaged these hires will take merchandise to its particular department and shelve according to packaging similarities.

If there's no product nearby that looks similar to the new restock inventory, they put it anywhere there's space.
I've stopped trusting shelf tags for the price of the products.

Why would any company do this? I asked the manager who was supervising the new hire for their service desk.

It's a corporate decision. Refusing to hire applicants who can't read is a firm of discrimination. If the perspective hire us "non- white", it may also be construed as racism as well.
Plus, the company get tax benefits for hiring the "differently abled".

I hope that policy never enters the OP's line of work. Seriously.o_O
