I'm looking for the right guy, so personally I am prepared to move/connect online first etc. I was wondering if anyone here could share their experiences with dating and how you met the person? I guess this is moreso directed toward the ladies but men are welcome to let me know their experience also. Thanks!

Meet as friends and consider online apps related to your interests rather than dating sites.

Better to consider local relationship instead of long distance. My last ex I met through a penpal site and a few years later we were married. After the wedding, I discovered that she had hid the truth of not being a believer and told me after 9 years she really never had any love for me. Meet someone local to physically spend quality time with them to observe if their walk equals their talk.

I met my wife who is also a member on this site a couple months after I joined. We were married later in the year. First we just replied to our posts, then private messages, then regular snail mail and nightly phone calls. It turns out that we only lived 120 miles from each other. Later we met physically but by then we already knew each other quite well.

I would go on friends/family recommendations, dont meet a random man you know next to nothing about. Thats how most wives I know met their husbands.

Community Involvement!!!!!

You live in a community.
Make friends within it. Do something for the betterment of the community you live within. There are literally TONS of various church groups, clubs, and Other groups that you can join....

From big brothers and sisters to diabetes support groups. Respite centers for foster parents and on and on it goes.... even bowling leagues and Jaycee's...

Getting involved with these groups creates a richer, fuller life. No, there probably won't be a guy there that will be a great husband for you...but likely someone there will know a guy that you will fall madly and deeply in love with.

This story has played out in this fashion for longer than I have been alive... just saying.

Sometimes we have to seek out the potential thats below the surface. Trust your gut feel. Do you find that guys are either players or too shy?
Neither especially. I don't really know how to go about meeting men. Perhaps I should look online again.

I must admit I use work as an excuse to not connect with local Christian communities. Which I know I should for my own wellbeing.
