This winter if you can't afford to heat your house instead of complaining about your family freezing to death why not consider this from Biden and Psaki's viewpoint. This is a success. They are bankrupting the oil companies and they are doubling down on renewable energy options. Your freezing to death is all part of their plan for the "greater good".

Inflation is a good thing!

As with most things what may be horrible for one person is a good thing for another. Suppose you go to buy a used car and you wind up paying top dollar for a car that is a total piece of junk, being completely scammed by the used car salesman. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Depends on who we are talking about, the salesman who ripped you off probably sees it as a good thing.

In the same way inflation is great for those who have borrowed great sums of money because you get to pay back your loan with money that is worth less. So for example the US has a great amount of debt, how to pay that back? If we can make US dollars worth 0 then our debt will also be worth 0 because all of our debt is in US dollars!

On the other hand if your paycheck is in US dollars it is a terrible thing for that $100,000 a year job to now be paying you 0.

The downside of course is if the US dollar is worth 0 no one will continue working for the US government and it will be very easy for our enemies to plunder and devour the entire country.

I had to call the HR department for the NYC Department of Education because they had not yet processed by healthcare after retiring in September. I was on hold for 3 1/2 hours, no exaggeration. From 10:30 to 2:00 pm the phone was on hold before someone picked up. I retired two months ago and they still have not processed my health care.

The good news we are told by Psaki is that this is "transitory".

I don't get it, why is MSNBC seeing a 69% drop in their ratings when they run such insightful articles like "Why the inflation we're seeing now is a good thing".

Bloomberg says that inflation might be a good thing as we will have to learn to live more like the Europeans (when I was in the UK in the 70s I was shocked at how tiny the cars were, never understood what they meant by "big American cars" till I went there).
