10 commandments=TV, movies, watching sports, novels, music, video games and computer games are all sins

I agree with many of the points made in your post, however, there are certain points that jump out, as not being Scriptural.

First, I agree that TV viewing and Video games, etc. are or could be sin. Believers need to be careful about what they watch but watching is not always sin. Keeping up with world events, on the news, is not sin. A believer should be well informed. Watching a trusted expositor give meaning to Scripture, is certainly not sin - as you stated. Where sin comes in, may have more to do with this passage than any other:

Eph. 5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. also: (Col.4:5; Rom.13:11)

Every Christian is guilty of not using the time wisely. We should be spending the majority of our time on/in the things of God but we are easily distracted.

Second, You said, that "repentance" meant not doing that sin any more. Repentance, speaks of a "turning away", a "change of mind". Therefore, genuine repentance is a change in ones over all life direction, not necessarily an end to a particular sin. If everyone of us were honest, we would all agree, that there is a particular sin that is most difficult to defeat, in our lives. Whether it be in speech, or patience, or compassion, or some action of the flesh. This particular sin, keeps us humble and constantly before the Throne of Grace, seeking forgiveness.

Third, and I find this one most objectionable. You said and I quote: "After you have received the Holy Spirit and have confessed and repented of any known sins that you have done, then you pray to God to get rid of all evil spirits out of you."

This will not stand the test of Holy Scripture. Evil spirits are not the cause of your sin. This is the same thing as saying: "The Devil made me do it." Sin is inherit in our fallen nature. Therefore, we love sin. Grace, makes a change of mind and life possible and Sanctification cleanses our life as we grow. BUT, sin is sin and our sins are our own, not some evil spirit twisting our arms to do it. Demonic influences, are sometimes seen in temptations but not in our decision process. Your belief in demonic spirits and the roles they play, probably comes from errant teaching through a Charismatic doctrine. The Scripture says the following about sin:

Rom_5:12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:--

Rom_6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
Jas_1:15 Then the lust, when it hath conceived, brings forth sin: and the sin, when it is fullgrown, brings forth death.

1Co_10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

In these verse sections is the truth of sin. 1) All sinned in Adam, thus are born with the sin "principle". 2) Our own sin nature drives our "lust" (Desires), and when "lust" has fully conceived in our minds, we act. (see also 1Jn.2:16). 3) No temptation or sin is associated to another but "...is common to (or which is in), a man..."

Each individual is responsible for the lusts of sin. One cannot shirk the blame onto an evil spirit and evil spirits do not dwell in every yet unsaved person.

Grace tossed like rice at a wedding was amusing. Falling to the ground is an accurate estimation of the 'grace' tossed about in the forums only to fall to the ground.

Movies and TV are written by men of the flesh, they give the laws that govern our fleshly life. It is called a worldly kingdom. As Christians, we are of God accepting the laws of God that are within us, we don't listen to the worldly laws as our guide any longer.

If we go to movies or TV that pretend to teach us about God, Christians are not fooled by their pretense. Christians go to scripture to learn about God, that scripture serves as a filter for false teaching of film and TV.
