Luke 21:25-28 The powers of heaven will be shaken

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars;

I don’t understand why Christians who claim to believe that every word of the Bible is the inspired word of God ignore this. There have been amazing signs in the sun and in the moon and in the stars over the last few years. We have had a number of lunar eclipses taking place on holy days of Israel and solar eclipses taking place at key times as well. The signs in the stars like the great sign from Revelation 12 have also been seen.

and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

At best we are just starting to get a glimpse of this. Every time they use the terms “apocalyptic” to refer to a fire, or flood, or some other disaster it means we are starting to get a glimpse. If the powers of heaven are going to be shaken it should not come as a surprise that the powers of the earth would also be shaken. We are told in Daniel that each nation has spiritual forces associated with it. "Men's hearts failing" we have had a suicide rate that has risen at epidemic levels and correlates very closely to the increasing use of social media. I have been seeing the natural disasters that are now occurring daily on the Earth, it is really quite astounding.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Seriously, seeing the powers of the US government shaken could be the key event that immediately precedes our seeing the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory? I think this just jumped to the conclusion of the great tribulation, it is not clear to me how "public" the first or second rapture will be.

Who is the “they”? It refers to all those who didn’t see or refused to see Jesus, His power and glory, during this age. Right now there is a privilege to see and believe in Jesus, but then everyone will see. Today you can embrace Jesus, then you will be terrified.

But this gives us a really big window into the the day of the Lord. I believe each group that is taken whether it is the church, or the firstfruits, or those who are beheaded, or the nation of Israel, with each group the powers of heaven are shaken, they are defeated, and then through that those left on the Earth will see the Son of Man coming. I would compare this to a football game, the first string is in, they run over Satan's army, it is a runaway victory, then they are pulled (raptured) and the second string comes in and they also score and then the third string. We are all going through the same training. If some are sitting on the bench they will get their chance to get on the field. No one wants to go to the victory celebration if they spent the whole game on the bench. But if you got into the game then you have as much a part in the victory as anyone else does.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The rapture is referred to as "the day of redemption". Here the Lord's reference to "your redemption draweth nigh" refers to the rapture. On the one hand we don't know the day or the hour, but on the other hand we do know the signs and when see these things happening we know the day of redemption draws nigh. There are signs in the sun, moon and stars that will let you know the day is drawing near. On earth you will have distress of nations which could refer to a pandemic, it could refer to a global shutdown of the economy, it sounds like a great depression and hyper inflation. With perplexity sounds like the craziness we are seeing today where down is up, evil is good, and who knows what the truth is. The sea and the waves roaring sounds like the record breaking hurricane seasons that we have seen. Men's hearts failing them sounds like the epidemic we have seen with suicide. Finally the powers of heaven shaken sounds like the great powers like the US and China having their governments shaken (that is what would be visible as a sign to the disciples). This is Luke which is supposed to be to those who are raptured at the beginning of the tribulation, so how does this then jump to "Seeing the Son of Man coming in a cloud". I have an idea, those that are raptured at the beginning of the tribulation will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud. This is huge, because this would mean the very last sign we will see prior to the rapture will be "the powers of heaven will be shaken"

We know from Revelation that when the Man child is raptured Satan and his angels are cast to heaven, so that would be the powers of heaven shaken, but that occurs after the rapture.

We know that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

And we know that when we are raptured "He that restrains will step aside" allowing the antichrist and the working of evil to be revealed. The teaching is that He that restrains refers to the Holy Spirit, but if we are the Body of Christ, then aren't we the hands and feet of the Holy Spirit? If we are wrestling against these powers doesn't that mean we are restraining these powers?

The Lord said that we should watch and prevent the house from being broken into, that is a wrestling against the liar and the thief.

What is happening right now? We are going to see the US government shaken. They are trying to avoid this but it is impossible. The audits will reveal massive fraud, a stolen election, and destroy the legitimacy of our elected officials and therefore of our government. The audit will reveal treason on a widespread and massive scale. Not only so but it will reveal a Satanic cult that has infiltrated and spread through the entire society. We should not be surprised by this, Satan tempted Jesus saying the entire world was under his control, do you really think there aren't many people out there that fell to that temptation? We are about to see "the powers of heaven shaken". Likewise China's government is being shaken with massive bankruptcies.

Human History -- The Six day war!

I have been looking for all the signs, all the prophecies, every word concerning the pre tribulation rapture to see when the Lord was returning. Not as a "date setter" but as someone who would be faithful to the Lord's word to watch.

We have had several people on the internet do a marvelous job of breaking down the signs in the sun, moon and stars. But although these signs really do cause us to be aware that the day is approaching I feel that some are trying to make more out of them than the Bible says.

Also the calendar and all the help we have gotten on reading the calendar and looking at the feasts and seeing the allegories like Noah and the giving of the law are also great. However, the New Testament makes it clear that the rapture is not our coming to Mt. Sinai but rather our coming to Mt. Zion. The two are similar yes, but not a perfect overlay. The same is true of Noah, it will be like the days of Noah but God has promised that this time the judgement will be with fire, so again, similar but not a perfect overlay.

Others are looking at the natural disasters, the hurricanes in particular, the "sea and waves roaring" and that is a sign that we are close but that is not it either.

"Men's hearts failing them" has been likened to the epidemic in suicide that correlates very well with the use of Social media the last twenty years. Yes, these signs are giving all of us the feeling that these are the last days. But those are like signs saying that NYC is 50 miles away. We can see that the day is approaching, but that isn't the sign for the exit.

I really enjoyed discovering the prophecy of Judah the righteous concerning the Turks having Jerusalem for six jubilees, the nations having it as "no man's land" for one jubilee, then Israel having it for one jubilee and then the last ten years begins. That was wonderful because it confirms that 2017 was a Jubilee year and that in turn was critical for calculating the 1335 days from that.

However, the prophecy from Judah the righteous revealed something else, it equated human history with the six day war in which God's people then get Jerusalem. I thought that was very poetic way of looking at human history and the purpose.

And that leads me to the "missing link". 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

When we are raptured we will see the Lord coming in the clouds with great glory. Luke is spoken to those who are going to be raptured pre tribulation and the very last sign they will see prior to this is "the powers of heaven shall be shaken". This doesn't say the heavens will be shaken or rolled up or dissolve in heat. I believe we have confused this verse with other events. Nor does it say the whole world will see the Lord coming in the clouds or that He will step down on the Mount of Olivet, again I think we confuse this with other verses.

Satan told the Lord he would give him the entire world if he worshipped him. The Lord refused, but didn't deny that the world was Satan's to give and therefore we can conclude that the rulers have succumbed to this temptation and worship Satan. Paul said "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." We are wrestling against the powers of heaven, not against flesh and blood. When we are raptured He that restrains steps aside. It is commonly taught that He which restrains is the Holy Spirit, yet we are the Body of Christ. We are the hands and feet that the Spirit animates in this restraining.

What we are seeing right now with the Election audits, the lawsuits, and the arrests of the pedophile rings of sex traffickers, this is our wrestling with the powers of heaven. What the world will see is the US government get shaken, and the Chinese government get shaken, but what we see is the powers of heaven get shaken. In other words, this is "the six day war" that is human history.

The Six day war

If I were to compile everything in this blog into a book the title would be "the six day war". I think this is the lens through which we should view this age and human history. I think we need to view the rapture and the great tribulation through this lens.

I want to point out a few things that I have noticed along the way. We (those who are looking for the Lord's appearing attentively) have put a great emphasis on the calendar. That is very reasonable, however, it ignores the most significant verse in the New Testament concerning the calendar. Paul said that the feast days were a shadow of things to come, that is true, but he also said that we were not to let anyone judge us with respect of keeping a feast day. All these feast days that we are so carefully studying, they are part of the Old Testament, in the New Testament the only day we are given to keep is the Lord's table and with that we are told on whatever day we keep it. I feel that when we are raptured in hindsight it will seem like a perfect fit with the Old Testament, but we shouldn't overemphasize the Jewish feasts because according to our covenant, that is what they are, the Jewish feasts.

The other thing I would say is we should pay more attention to the dreams of Dana Coverstone. This also is a fulfillment of the prophecy in Joel. What do his dreams show us? Wall street being shaken, the capital building being shaken, church buildings being shaken, rats in the sewer, blood in the Whitehouse, and the Whitehouse being a haunted house.

It seems to me that many of his dreams point to this verse "the powers of heaven shall be shaken". Especially the Data Dream which concludes with "a house divided Shall not stand"

Luke 21:29-36 Behold the Fig tree, and all the trees

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

Israel is depicted as a fig tree. It sprouted in the good land again in 1948. In 2019 it began to shoot forth with peace plans to recognize Jerusalem. That is a sign that summer is nigh. That is a sign that Jesus is about to send forth His angels to reap His harvest. 1943 Lebanon got their independence, their national symbol is the Holy Cedar tree which appears on their flag. 1944 Syria got their independence, the olive tree is their national symbol. 1946 Jordan got their independence, their national symbol is the oak tree. 1947 Iraq got their independence, the date palm is their national tree. 1947 Egypt got their independence, their national tree is the Date tree. 1948 Israel got their independence and their national tree is the Fig tree. Hence "all the trees".

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Is there anyone in history who has been able to declare that “heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away”. Once again, if we get a revelation of this we would realize what a treasure the Bible is. The Bible is filled with prophecies, amazing prophecies, incredible to believe that they were fulfilled. This is how you know that God is God and there is no other.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

The Lord realizes how valuable His word is, but if you don’t, well that will be a great insult to Him. If you are caught up in trivial garbage that is on TV, or Youtube and are distracted from the word, then the day will come upon you unaware. You will be snared like an animal in a trap. You will not greet that day like a child of the king, but rather like an animal in a trap. The Bible is crystal clear, it is a shame for any believer if "that day", the "day of redemption", the rapture, comes upon them unawares. Everyone understands that the Fig tree generation is a great prophecy, well this is also a prophecy, so beware.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Our salvation is not based on how worthy we are but rather on how worthy the Lord is. No one is righteous, no one is worthy of salvation. But that is not what He is talking about here. Not all believers will be “worthy to escape all these things”. Obviously He isn’t talking about the persecution that the early church went through or that the apostle’s suffered. In Matthew He said that we should rejoice when that happens because this is how they treated the prophets of old and it is evidence that we have been counted worthy to suffer the same. He is talking about us, at the end of the age, being raptured prior to the Great Tribulation. Not all believers will be counted worthy to be raptured prior to the Great Tribulation. Some will be left behind like trapped animals. But imagine being counted worthy to stand before the Son of man, to be one of those raptured to the heavens to kick Satan out and to then return with the Lord in the clouds as His army when He comes in great power and glory. Think about this, there are some believers who embrace the Lord's word and do rejoice that they were counted worthy to suffer on behalf of His name. There are others who don't see it that way, when you suffer on behalf of the Lord's name they feel you provoked that by preaching righteousness. They feel if you would just shut up you would make it easier for us all to get along. They want to escape the persecution that comes with preaching righteousness, hence they have come up with their own escape and will not be counted worthy of the Lord's escape.

37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

Constantine mixed Christianity with pagan rituals — the root of the apostasy. He goes into all the pagan practices in the celebration of Christmas: the tree, the colors, things like mistletoe all are pagan practices and the worship of Baal. December 25th was the day they celebrated Saturnalia. The star on the top of the tree was the capstone. The Hexagram (called Star of David) but actually the Star of Solomon. Cursing symbol.

Amos 5:26 You have lifted up the shrine of your king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god— which you made for yourselves.

27 Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is God Almighty.

You cannot claim that having a fire during the winter is pagan, or putting up flowers and decorations is pagan, but bringing in a tree, decorating it, and putting the star on top, now you are crossing a line into idolatry and worship. These are the things that God takes issue with in the Bible.

It is undeniable that Christmas involves the worship of pagan Gods and that has been embraced by many denominations and those in apostasy. It is also undeniable that God will judge the church for this and send them into exile. When? We know that immediately after the rapture those that are left behind will be rebuked and need to repent and from that moment on they go into exile.

This is another problem with looking at the Jewish feasts as a shadow of the rapture, none of the Jewish Feasts in Leviticus will have this close an association with the pagan practices that will be judged at the time of the rapture.

i try to keep the links and references on this blog directly related to Bible verses. However, many of the prophecies and Bible teaching indicates an attack from Russia on the US and on Israel at or around the time of the start of the Tribulation.

It seems quite reasonable to me to say "since I don't know the day or the hour or the rapture why not look at other things like Russia?"

30 years ago this Christmas we saw the collapse of the USSR. According to a variety of prophecies that was the fulfillment of the word "when they say peace and security". The attack from Russia will be the sudden destruction. So then it seems very valid to be looking at Russia at this time. I would point out there are much more serious and explicit warnings on other news sites but I choose a Main Stream Media site so you don't think this is some tin foil hat site.

This does a very good job of synthesizing current events with recent prophecies and Biblical prophecies in both Jeremiah and Revelation. Also gives a very concise answer for why America is "the Great Babylon".

If you look at all the prophecies concerning the rapture and there are very, very many, it is described as a "harpazo" a rescue, a snatching out of the way of disaster.

Judgement is coming, the wrath of God is determined, and the rapture precedes this judgement falling. So then who does the judgement fall on?

1. The apostate church -- first to receive God's judgement and wrath.

2. Nation of Israel -- Second to receive God's judgement and wrath

3. Nations -- unbelievers are the third to receive God's judgement and wrath.

So then, instead of asking when will the rapture take place the real question is when will the judgements fall. Christians have two big celebrations during the year and these are "rehearsals". The first one, Christmas, depicts the birth of the man child destined to rule the world with a rod of iron followed by a thief in the night who comes down your chimney, who you know as a deceitful Satan dressed in red with his legion of fallen angels and who exchanges your eternal salvation with a bunch of junk from the mall. This celebration has two sides, there are those at night who are watching for the savior's birth, and there are those in the morning of this new day with the sun rising on the AntiChrist and the globalist agenda. The celebration in the morning is all about lies, deceit, magic and witchcraft.

If God is going to judge these things then He needs to do it this day just as the Passover was very precise and specific in the celebration, so that there is no confusion about what and why. This is why the 30th anniversary of the fall of the USSR is so important to the Russians, this day will say "We're back from the dead".

Hebrews 12:25-29 Pray that ye may be accounted worthy to escape

25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not when they refused him that warned them on earth, much more shall not we escape who turn away from him that warneth from heaven: 26 whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more will I make to tremble not the earth only, but also the heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and awe: 29 for our God is a consuming fire.

We need to compare this with Luke

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

These verses are talking about “the escape” and being worthy of the escape. If you read Luke 21 the Lord says that “the powers of heaven will be shaken” and here in Hebrews he talks about “the removing of those things that are shaken”. The purpose is that “those things which are not shaken may remain”. He then clarifies that we are “receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken”.

At the end of the age all the “kingdoms” will be shaken so that those which are shaken can be removed. This is a critical first step to bringing in a kingdom which cannot be shaken.

Along these lines I had a dream last night. I was working and travelling between many different locations. While doing that they were under surveillance and people were being arrested for crimes but I was walking in and out without any of the criminality touching me. I then learned that I was going to be returned to a position of authority in the company (they were going to make me a geologist again, apparently I was working as some kind of gopher). What is the big problem we have today whether we are talking about Banks, Wall Street, Corporate America, our Government, the Deep State, etc? It is corruption, fraud, lies, deceit, lack of trust. Hebrews tells us clearly that all these things will be shaken and anything that is shaken will be removed. The one thing that I remember clearly about my dream was that I wasn’t shaken, everything else was a little vague, but the feeling of peace and standing on solid ground while all of this was going on around me was very clear. Hebrews also tells us that there is a kingdom which cannot be shaken which we have received and based on that we should offer service in reverence and awe. Finally, God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12 gives us many direct correlations to Israel at Mount Sinai, it then concludes with a direct correlation to both the Mt. Sinai event and to Noah’s flood where we are told the next time it will be by fire. These are two very big biblical references to the rapture, particularly the pre tribulation rapture.

Haggai 2:6-9 I will shake all nations

6 For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations; and the precious things of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith Jehovah of hosts. 8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Jehovah of hosts. 9 The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

“I will shake all nations”. This doesn’t refer to earthquakes or natural disasters, a nation is a political organization. Imagine for a second, consider this hypothetical, the three forensic audits come back showing that there was enough evidence to decertify the election. Not only so but senate and congressional elections are in limbo as well. As a result all 50 states begin to do audits and the extent of the fraud is deep, it is wide, it shakes the US government to the core. Splits the country in half. But not only so it becomes very clear through evidence leaking out that the Main stream media was involved, the tech giants were involved, essentially the lawsuit started by Trump does turn into a trillion dollar lawsuit. But, not only so it also comes out that one of the things they did was to suppress information about Covid19 that cost tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide. But not only so, suppose in addition to all this the US dollar becomes worthless, the currency on which all the other countries are basing their currency. Would this not “shake all the nations”?

But suppose at the exact same time about 1/10th of the Christians worldwide disappear. These are not simply "christians" but the most annoying, the most vocal, the ones who keep preaching and preaching and won't shut up. Some people claim they were raptured but they are quickly ridiculed, mocked, and institutionalized. Instead the official explanation is that it was probably aliens. Would this not "shake all the nations"?

Luke 6:47-49 What can be shaken?

Luke 6:47 Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: 48 he is like a man building a house, who digged and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream brake against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well builded. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.

Both houses were tested with the same test. People's lives, households, broken families, corruption in businesses, corruption in government, it is amazing how many things can be shaken. The Public school is being shaken. Already 13% of K-3 kids have been pulled from public schools, imagine if this number doubles by September. It would be catastrophic.

Police can maintain order if the vast majority of people support the police. But imagine if less than half of the people do, there is no way the police could maintain order. Think about what happens after the rapture, you remove those who were most vocal in supporting law and order.

The Apostasy

A Call to Persevere in Faith. Instead of looking at when the rapture prior to the tribulation takes place why not look at when the judgement on the apostasy which takes place at essentially the same time takes place?

Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Christmas has a movie called “Miracle on 42nd Street” that was a deceit on faith in Christ. It is clearly part of the “great deceit” given to those who did not have the love of the truth.

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Christmas swerves from the hope. What is our hope? The hope is in our full salvation including the redemption of our body and Christ establishing His kingdom on earth with His millennial reign. Bringing in all the pagan garbage and Santa Claus witchcraft is to swerve from this hope. The love of the world is to swerve from this hope.

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Once again there is a Christmas counterfeit to this with this concept of “Christmas spirit” and seeing “that day approach”.

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

The Idols are “the enemies of God”. The “green trees” used in Christmas, the star on top, the ornaments are idols and these trees are bound up to be burned afterwards.

28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
  1. Pretending that the celebration of Saturnalia and the worship of the sun is celebrating Jesus' birth is to trample the Son of God underfoot.
  2. The feast of the purification of Isis became the feast of the nativity, in this way they treat the blood of the covenant as an unholy thing.
  3. The expression “the spirit of Christmas” is an insult to the Spirit of grace.
30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Clearly Christmas epitomizes the apostasy of Christianity and will be judged by the Lord. It is His to avenge, and He will repay. So then would it be appropriate to judge the apostate church on Christmas? Would it be appropriate to rapture the saints Christmas eve and have the apostate church wake up the next day to this reality and judgement. Would that be the fulfillment of the Lord's word that He comes as a thief in the night?

32 Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. 34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”

What annual Christian celebration is a rehearsal of our looking for the coming one who will come and not delay? It is our Christmas Eve service singing “Silent Night”.

38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”

Shrink back to what? Pagan worship, idolatry, loving the world like Demas?

39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

What annual Christian celebration has this very clear distinction between those who have faith and are worshipping the Lord in the dark night compared to those who have forsaken the gospel because they love the world and have shrunk back?

It is amazing to me what we are seeing every day of the year! I get it that we might not have seen everything that happened all over the world 70 years ago, but we never had this many major catastrophes happening daily.

The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, part 1

5 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

Why are Christians so concerned about times and dates? They refer to them as "high watch dates", they feel like here is where we really need to be paying attention. But here Paul says you don't need that because we have something else that we will see. We will see that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. According to Paul if we understand that then we don't need times and dates. I have repeatedly returned to this verse and I believe it is because I have only been scratching the surface and the Lord is demanding I look at this again.

Luke 12:39 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.

This verse is repeated in Matthew and luke. When the Lord says "understand this" it doesn't mean that we won't know when the thief is coming, rather it means this is the reason the house was broken into. This "house" could refer to the infiltration of the US with this communist agenda to defund the police and overthrow the government. It could refer to a "globalist" infiltration and takeover of our political representatives who have an agenda to destroy the US currency which would force us into this globalist union. It could refer to the stolen election. It could refer to George Soros, and Mark Zuckerberg financing all kinds of corruption behind the scenes. It could refer to the apostasy of the church and the infiltration of organized Christianity with false brothers. The point I'm making is that all of these things are signs to us letting us know the Lord is coming and they are far more useful that dates and times. If you read this we are supposed to be preventing the thief from breaking into our house and in Luke He talks about giving the saints the proper food at the proper time.

Revelation 3:3 Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

This verse tells us the same thing but from a different angle. I consider the church in Sardis to represent the Protestant Denominational churches. All of these churches had a wonderful start where they had received some new revelation from the Bible and they held it fast. But then at the end of the age there is a new revelation and they have completely forgotten how to receive new light. For over a century they have been drugged with this "no one knows the day and the hour" as though that absolves them from watching or even guarding the house from the thief. The Lord is telling them if you don't wake up now when you do wake up you will realize you have been robbed and you will be ashamed. But this also is a great sign to us that at the end of the age there will be this apostasy and all these Christian denominational churches who are asleep and refuse to wake up.

Jeremiah 2:26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,

This is really a very great sign, the rapture of the church will leave many believers ashamed. Everyone talks about not knowing when the rapture will take place. Fine, forget about that, how about knowing how to avoid getting robbed? No one would be so foolish as to say there is nothing we can do about not getting robbed. You can lock the door, you can get an alarm system, you can get a dog, you can buy a safe. If someone were going to break into your house and steal something of high value how long would it take them? Could then do it in less than 5 minutes or would then need at least 30 minutes? Would they need a truck or could they put the valuables in their pocket and simply walk away? Most police can respond to a call within five minutes. Most thieves are going to want a get away car. My point is that it is relatively simple to prevent your house from being robbed. So then if you do wake up after the rapture and you were robbed it is going to be very embarrassing to those who were supposed to be keeping guard.

2Sam 15:6 And this Absalom did to everyone in Israel who came to the king to have his cause judged: so Absalom, like a thief, took away the hearts of the men of Israel.

This story is a direct example of "the day of the Lord coming like a thief in the night". If you saw Absalom in the gates of the city stealing the hearts of the men of Israel you would know the insurrection was about to take place. This would be a great sign. David was caught by surprise and barely escaped. But this really reveals what the Lord means by the day coming as a thief in the night. The thief is "stealing the hearts of men". That is what the apostasy is, that is what CRT is, that is what the defund the police movement funded by marxist is. For four years we heard a non stop barrage attacking the President with an "orange man is bad" narrative designed to steal the hearts of men. That should have been a very big sign to us.

What Paul is saying is that if we are focused on preventing our house from being broken into we would have woken up much sooner than any teaching on dates and times. Also, the point is not to be awake for the sake of being awake but rather to prevent the thief from breaking into the house and robbing it. So then focusing on making the house secure is by far the more needful message. The apostasy was a big wake up for many, the election fraud was a big wake up call for many, this horrendous exit from Afghanistan was a big wake up call for many.

Joel 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.

Joel describes this worldwide pandemic as a thief sneaking into people's houses like a thief. This pandemic with all the lies has woken up many more people that there is a thief breaking into the house.

All of this is the context for Zechariah 5, I will cover this in part 2.
