Is there a difference with the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ?
“I and my Father are one.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:20‬ ‭

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:9‬ ‭

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭

“At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Note father , son and Holy Ghost all three represent one God.

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

None:
You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. Rom 8:9

Hello John, if that’s true, what are we to make of their description in passages like Isaiah 6:1-7?

Thanks!

Good post.

I will say the word "angel" is very problematic. It literally just means "messenger" and it would seem from the Biblical descriptions that most of the messenger-type spiritual beings appeared at first to be human.

But we also use the word "angel" as a general term for "spiritual beings or creatures" and there are descriptions of many of these which are clearly NOT human-form in the Bible. Beings covered with eyes. Beings with six wings. Beings with beast-like countenances.

Who can say? Perhaps there as many different "angelic" "species" as there are animal types here on Earth.

Does it matter that the serpent went to Eve first, to deceive her?
The serpent (Satan in disguise) must have somehow perceived that Eve could be deceived easily, but Adam would not be deceived. So he targeted her and deceived her. Deception is one of his major weapons, and unfortunately, he even manages to deceive Christians into believing lies.

Not "species" but groups. The Bible speaks of cherubim, seraphim, archangels, holy angels, and evil angels. Demons are also spirit beings as is Satan. And while angel literally means "messenger" that is not their only function.

amen

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:3, 5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:22-23, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:18-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I have A Pilgrim's Almanac by Edward Hays which basically is a book on reflections for each day of the year and on yesterday's reading it proposed that when Jesus said ...."and as often as you neglected to do it to one of these least ones, you neglected to do it to me" (Mt. 25:45) Also include people that persecute, ridicule, mock, gossip etc. Albeit the chapter is referring to people that are hungry, thirsty, sick etc.

I guess what I'm asking is could the least that Jesus is referring to also mean those that are least in faith or lost and not necessarily entirely what the chapter describes?
