You are very critical of the show 'The View'. You must watch it a lot to know so much about it.
As a matter of fact I DO NOT watch this show. I do not watch TV period. But I see reports on various conservative news sources about what these women say. Here's a good example for Christians.

The View’s Joy Behar apologizes for calling Christian faith ‘mental illness’

This is typical of all these radical Leftists (Susan Sarandon just stepped in it recently).
1. First they say something very nasty and outrageous.
2. Then comes the public backlash and they know they are in deep doo-doo.
3. Then comes the phony apology which means absolutely nothing.
4. After a short while out comes another nasty and sick statement.

Everyone knows about the View. They are on the news and social media all the time for the things they say and outrageous foolishness. I never watch it, but I know what they say.

I dont know about it, only that its a tv show in america that people say they hate watching but watch anyway.

as for whoopi well, she was probably just referring to HER own race since in the holocaust no african americans were involved as far as I know.

The way it came out was probably out of context. The Holocaust was a huge tragic deliberate genocide.
what african americans had was different, it was slavery. People still died but the masters needed their labour so they had to stay alive. But the tragic thing is it COULD be heading that way.

If the Hebews had stayed in Egypt any longer, as slaves. they would have been worked to death and exterminated as well by the Phoaroah, and indeed they were told to be drowned at birth by the time Moses was born

I have never watched the show but you have to pay attention to what others who speak and influence others with their hate speech are saying. She is an influencer and what she said was hate speech. Yes it could have been taken out of context or misunderstood which would have been why you want her to respond to clear that up. Her response did clear that up, it wasn't taken out of context and it wasn't misunderstood.

The idea that slavery is a special kind of suffering compared to the Holocaust is ignorant, offensive and hate speech. There is no clearer example of "racism" than to round up the entire race for extermination in a gas chamber. To dismiss that for any reason is the most idiotic thing a person could say. Yet there are those who will defend her and the only explanation is that they also hold to the same ugly concepts and ideas.

Slavery has been around for 6,000 years. Every group has been enslaved at some point in their history and many of those slaveries were racial. If somehow you think what happened 200 years ago in the south is some unique case of human abuse in world history then you are ignorant.

In fact some of the biggest slave owners in human history are black, in fact they are alive today! That is how ignorant this is. The same people pushing their woke BS on the world with all their BLM at NBA games are the same people profiting from slavery in China. This slavery that they are profiting from is worse than what the US did. In China if you need an organ transplant they will do some tests, find a match among these slaves, and then cut the organ out of that slave and put it into the person with the money. Yep. that is what the NBA is involved in and the very same slaves that they are currently profiting from. What a bunch of hypocrites.

having lived in georgia my whole like, i know how the south has been demonized for slavery, as folks act like it did not take place anywhere in the world but here.

they were still " indentured servants" in trinidad until the early 1900's......

As long as you are a radical Leftist you can get away with both hate speech and Black Racism. Justin Trudeau was spouting hate speech every day and got away with it. So were Barack and Michelle Obama, Farrakhan, etc.

And after slavery was abolished the blacks generally chose to enslave themselves to the evil Democrat party. Even now they do not see this. Had they followed the lead and teachings of Booker T. Washington, they would have rejected all the Leftist nonsense.

Slavery in the South was despicable. It was racist, it was abusive, and it was sin.

That said only 5% of the South had more than 2 slaves, the plantations that were guilty of these crimes. They represented about 2% of the total US population.

25% of Southerners had 2 slaves, usually a husband and wife, the wife would help inside with the housework and the husband would help outside with the farmwork. As a rule there was nothing of the abuse you see in the big plantations. It was racist, it was abusive, but if someone watches some movie of the worst horrors on a plantation and thinks that is what was going on with all Slaves is greatly mistaken.

Still for blacks it is reasonable to say that they were all, 100%, a victim of the racism. This was by design. The reason they went to Africa to shop for slaves was so that if they ran away they would stand out.

But then there were other sins that have to be factored in. Pastors taught Bible doctrines to justify the racist slavery, that is something that God will surely judge harshly. Southern slavery violated Biblical slavery on several key areas. In brief Biblical slavery was pretty much exactly like an NFL contract, clearly nothing like the slavery in the South. These lying pastors will have to make an account of their lies at the judgement.

Then after the Civil War there was an inherent bias in the depiction of blacks on radio, TV and Hollywood which was disrespectful, insulting, and reprehensible. Madison Avenue and anyone else responsible for this will have to give account at the judgement seat.

On the bright side we have had some wonderful people who have led the way up out of the pit of racism. Jackie Robinson, and many, many others. We have come a very long way in my lifetime. My uncle's house in Ms was bombed by the KKK in the 1960s. The path that we have taken in the last sixty years to get out of that pit was hard work and being an example to others. This latest wave of whiny CRT brats has been a big step backwards and these children are being used by the most evil of people. They want to "defund" the local police forces so that a national gestapo like police can step in.

Whoopi Goldberg is either a complete idiot stooge, or one of the most evil people on the planet.

I would also point out that my great grandfather escaped from slavery.

The View is a divisive one. A collection of angry Left wing majority extremists with a soapbox to screed from.

I don't watch. I just hear the news, like Whoopieeeee, making a fool of herself again.
Or Joy (that's a joke) Bahar saying something incindiary and news worthy.
Or, it makes news when the Lefties ganged up on McCain's daughter in her short time there as a Conservative guppy in their shark pond.

I highly doubt Goldberg will be back after her suspension. I doubt her network career will continue elsewhere after such a ridiculous statement as that.

And so close to Holocaust Remembrance day. What was she thinking?

What she was thinking is that since stupidity is the norm and the trend in America right now, let's get on the bandwagon.

Who says she has gone through any terrible sufferings? She has probably been a very privileged black person, who has suddenly turned into a Black Activist and a Woke Moron. Just like Oprah, who suckered all the whites for years, and is now a real Black racist.
Do you not recognise sarcasm? I guess not.

After she said it. Behar is Jewish. She doesn't no longer think that way about Christians just because she was made to apologize. She's one of the worst hate filled characters on the panel.

Talk about bandwagon. Groundless suit. That does nothing but make KR look greedy and makes Whoopieeee news worthy again.
I don't think it is groundless, I think the NBA and Lebron should be sued for the damage done in Wisconsin. Also I think the case is very strong against the President.

Also time to stop worrying about being depicted as greedy and focus on bringing down these hate mongerers.
