I just wish we could get along better.
I couldn't agree more. However, there are those who make it seem like a person has to get a four-year college degree just to be kind.

I have asked over and over again to stop being harassed . . . it just won't stop. I ache for those who are sent away, never to return because of these childish, drunken, drug-laden games.

Would you prefer that you be placed on my Ignore list?

Why IGNORE me,I'd still see what you post and make comment if I choose.
Did my post sting you?

Let's AGREE to this....I don't like your personality reminds me of an arrogant braggart. MEN like this have troubles in live with wives, family,co workers and friends if they have any.

I do not hate you, just cannot stand the personality you exhibit.

You have zero proof of harassment from me.

INTERPERTATION VS BELIEF,,,,aka acceptance.

I found in the KJV ( which I use and adore ) only 8, [eight],scriptures USING the word interpret !

The instances in Genesis and 1 Corinthians are about dreams and congregational messages in tongues.

This one however:
Ecc.1:1
The Prologue of the Wisdom of Jesus the Son of Sirach.
Whereas MANY and great things have been delivered unto us by the law and the prophets, and by others that have followed their steps, for the which things Isreal ought to be commended for LEARNING and WISDOM; and whereof not only the readers must needs become skillful themselves, but also THEY THAT DESIRE TO LEARN and BE ABLE TO PROFIT THEM WHICH ARE.....WITHOUT, both by speaking and writing: my grandfather Jesus ( David) when he had much given to the reading of the law,and the prophets, and other books of our fathers, and had gotten therein good judgment, was drawn on also himself to write something pertaining to LEARNING and WISDOM; ( Psalms) to the intent that THOSE DISIROUS TO LEARN , and are Addicted to these things, might profit more in LIVING ACCORDING TO THE LAW.
Wherefore let me interest you to READ IT WITH FAVOUR and ATTENTION,and to pardon ( forgive, show mercy )us,wherein we may seem to COME SHORT OF SOME WORDS,which we have laboured to .......INTERPRET.
For the same things uttered in Hebrew, and TRANSLATED into another tongue, have NOT the same force in them: and not only these things, but the law itself, and the prophets, and the rest of the books, have no small difference, when they are spoken in their own language.
For in the eight and thirtieth year coming into Egypt, when Euergetes was king, and continuing there some time,I found a book of no small learning: therefore I thought it most necessary for me to bestow some diligence and travail to INTERPRET it.........................................ALL wisdom cometh from the Lord, and is with him forever. The WHOLE chapter is wonderful and should be read and reread by all v30.....

1 instance of the word TRANSLATE 2 Sam.3:10.
131 instances of believe
John 5: 45-47
Do not think that I will accuse you to Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom he trust.
For had he believed Moses,he would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
But if he believe not his writings, how small he believe my words.
John3: 12 If I have told you earthly things, and he believed not, HOW small he BELIEVE, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Too many on believing ( accept some thing that is true, feel sure of the TRUTH of) or accepting ( consent to receive).
Interpret. Explain the meaning of words or actions.
( yes I know this can go gazillions of ways).

Sooo the lead in is where do we think in ourselves we have to interpert the word of God instead of accepting what "thus saith the Lord"

Disclaimer: not endorsing we become Juduasers and hold onto the law!
Should I sell my cloak and buy a sword, or give the money to the poor...?
Who, what, where, why, when... "Circumstances" also play a big part in "interpretation". However, many circumstantial details are lost to history...

LOL... That's just Horrible! "Cyber Peeing"! Really?:ROFL::p
I only wish that I was joking. To me, this forum is no different than meeting in a church. So to say the things that are said, here, is disgusting to me. It is utterly repulsive that we speak to each other as we do.

That's why I figure a lot of what goes on here must be organized and premeditated. I'm really not the sensitive sort lol, and I know there's always going to be exceptions to the rules. However, far too often I come across dialog from people who obviously have no business being here to begin with. You can simply tell that they revel in contradiction and have no concern for amicable interaction whatsoever.

I didn't read to the end of these posts before I posted about scripture, I thought it was safe to speak of scripture on a Christian site, and as I read these posts I find that scripture, as it so often is, is not what the discussion is about. It is about people being an enemy of other people. It isn't scripture disagreements. Good friends often have different opinions and they remain friends. It is people deciding they will make another person do as they say--it is a personal power struggle.

I am of the sensitive type, for anyone who has been given the Mind of Christ will defend up to and including laying down their lives for the True Brethren. Thus, I will always fight for those who are being attacked by hypocritical wolves.

I would...if they made a genuine effort to get along with me. Anyone with a humble attitude = a friend.
It isn't difficult to be kind and friendly . . . unless "your" Father is the Devil. And if that's the case, they are essentially forced to do the Devils will . . . there is no other option. These people are filled with hatred against their own will. That's why, when it seems that they think it's funny to cause others harm, in the back of their minds, they know they are horrific monsters. They know who they are.

2 Timothy 2:25-26 NIV - "Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."

It's pretty amazing. I have copied and pasted Scripture straight out of the Blue Letter Bible website, only to be told that I am making up doctrine. How can I make up doctrine if I'm copying and pasting? Lunacy . . . we are literally dealing with the equivalency of the Pharisees, Sadducees and teachers of the law . . . the same type of people that Jesus and His followers had to deal with. These people claim to have the answers, yet they stone us to death. It really is remarkable . . . how exactly the same they are to the Pharisees, Sadducees and teachers of the law.

Jesus called for them to stop stoning sinners, but instead to love them. Yet the "stoning" here, only continues. They heed not to the Word of God, but they only heed their own emotions, all of which is guided and led by the Devil himself.

Funny, I consider myself friends with most people here. If I believe something I stand by it, I'm strong on it and I'm direct. But I don't think I take things overly personally. I do get sarcastic sometimes when people get too much to handle. But I don't think of people here as my enemy. I just may say to my pc "moron" when I talk to certain people. And you will never know who

As I spend almost all of my time in my room and on my computer, I need to make sure I don't spend too much time here on CC or I can get edgy...and that's not good for anyone. So I try to go other places online.

Perhaps this is a perfect example of why God divided us at the tower of Babel...
interesting

what's your take on what happened at Babel?

they wanted to build a tower fortress whose 'head' was in heaven - to make a name for themselves, and to avoid God's command to spread out and fill the earth.
who was the 'head' behind this?
Noah & his sons were still alive -- what did they think of it?
why did God express concern that they could do whatever they put their mind to?
how is confusing their languages the perfect solution?
