For me I tend to be more comfortable with friends that are women than men (I have both). Men are generally rougher and not as kind.

That's right! Men are good for hunt'n, fish'n, building stuff, and workin' on trucks!

But a very rare woman does all that too

Im trying to get some legos so that my children (both boys and girls) can learn to build stuff..properly...they really dont teach it in school.
The latest I heard was they were learning coding from scratch. But I dont think the next silicon valley is going to come from this generation. Schools seem to teach stuff that by the time they grow up is going to be useless for them as adults.
What really needs to happen is letting childrens imagination and creativity loose.

and also how to conduct themselves as men and women I dont think that actually happens in schools or at home. Im sure most get mixed messages growing up.

Also city life is very different from rural life. Men and women act differently in those environments.

That's a fact! Kids born and raised in the city don't have a clue how big the world truly is...

Money's all that matters in the city. That's why cities are so filthy an' evil

In Paul's letter to Timothy about a Deacon being the husband of only one wife...
Timothy wasn't in a Jewish City or dealing with Jews in the Church.

The Greeks/Romans actually had the nerve to consider the practice of polygamy to be disgusting.
However, in Roman life and culture a man had only one wife but also a consort. She might even live in the same household as his wife. It wasn't exactly a secretive practice.

Which of course caused the wives to be extremely disrespectful towards their husbands as a common practice. A wife was a wife for reasons of power and commerce. A consort was for relationship and affection. She wasn't a secret. But she also wasn't a wife. A consort of a powerful man had status in Roman culture. If she had a child from the relationship the child might be even adopted by the man into nobility. Otherwise... nope. He/she wasn't recognized at all.

So when that famous Deacon line was said by Paul...it's a famous example of Paul's sarcasm. (He was extremely sarcastic often)
Calling a consort a wife often infuriated the Romans...but since this was a personally addressed letter to Timothy...ol Timothy understood the message about not allowing just the wealthy members be deacons in the church. But members of moral character were just fine to be deacons.
It also would have been cruel to tell the Roman men to toss out their consorts to the street. The consorts would be penniless and broke. Their children starving and homeless too.
Such was Roman life.

This is why what Paul said in Ephesians for husbands to love their wives and for wives to respect their husbands was so much a new concept. It was groundbreaking. It hadn't been done before. There were a few odd cases of that naturally existing but it wasn't the normal practice.

Today we have very high ideals about marriages. No consorts allowed. I'm not going to suggest that it doesn't happen... especially among the rich elite or even the imagined wealthy. But that it is disrespectful and a faithless act of breaking promises.
In today's world a guy who has a girlfriend and a wife is a schmuck. He is a known liar and promise breaker. If he is willing to cheat on his wife that he supposedly loves the most then what is he going to do if things get difficult with promises for you?

thats why city people often dont get on with country people because of that prejudice, like they are paranoid that someones gonna kill them there.

I wouldnt say its money that matters because in cities, its actually PEOPLE that matter.
In the Bible the New Jerusalem is actually a city. People often live in the city cos they actually want to be around others, not cos they hate people.
There are also more jobs in the city, not that there arent jobs to do in the country its harder to make a living in the country. And if you dont have land, or you dont own it, then you will be doing share milking or sharecropping, and thats seasonal work.

also Im not sure why but smallholders are frowned on in the country where theres extensive acres of farmlan all owned by just one owner, but theres also very wealthy lifestyle block owners who have no intention of farming or they are hobby farmers and vanity farmers that are in it for the money too. or to show off how much land they own/bought.

Personally I think people need to get to know others before they make blanket judgements about them are claim they 'know-it-all' many people are not that interested in being told how to live (do women really have a choice? thats debateable) but we all want to live somewhere where we are accepted.

Jewish people did have concubines as well
not sure how that worked but even back to Abraham he had Hagar.

Thank you! It may not be done yet... I will probably see if I can improve it
somehow... the slightly blurry font bothers me especially; I have been trying
to figure that one out... but I just started that design earlier this afternoon :D

I really liked the first one :)
but then saw the frame around the second one (and I didn't think it was possible to like it any more than I already did), and another 1 or 2 small details, and it really pops. :)

We got cities in the South too. I can mention McKenzie, Georgiana, Evergreen, Greenville and etc. Now, folks (rather cosmopolitans) in them cities ain’t takin’ no likin’ to country folks rollin’ in on Saturday night tryin’ to blend in.😄
