Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father and His saving grace, therefore all other faiths, religions and theological views are wrong and lead people to destruction.

That said, is it wrong to greet people of other faiths and religions with the greetings from their traditions? For instance, Hindus say Namaste and Muslims say As-Salamu Alaikum.

Today a Muslim woman went out of her way to help me. I thanked her and said As-Salamu Alaikum out of respect for her as a person and appreciation for her help, but I struggle as to whether or not such a gesture is right in the eyes of God.

The greetings you used as examples are more linked to a people group and culture than religion. Namaste when translated from Hindi (a language not to be mistaken with Hindu the religion) means greetings to you, As-salamu alaykum translated from Arabic means Peace be unto you it is the common greeting throughout the Arabic world regardless of religion. In Israel they use the same greeting in Hebrew which is Shalom aleichem.

What you have said to her you may say to anyone , for it translates, "Peace be with you." There is no harm in this greeting.

As others have said, it's not a religious greeting but to do with Arab culture. I don't believe that you've done anything wrong. "Goodbye" is a contraction of an old English expression, "God be with you". No one gets offended by that, as far as I know.

Before condemning all other-than=Christian into the lake of fire, please keep in mind dthe teaching that there are even pagans with the truth written on their hearts with their own consciences accusing and excusing them as tehact.

Also it is written, taught, that when we arrive to the eternal Kingdom , many will be surprised at some who will also be there.

These two teachings are just another admonishment that we are not to judge to condemnation, although we are aught to judge for ourselves what is right. This latter applies not to condemnation rather to what we believe in the sisght of our Maker.

Finally, for now, we are taught to extend mercy to all if we desire mercy upon ourselves. This last by no means is saying we must approve of any sinner's sins, but to always be merciful, just as Jesus Yeshua right up until His horrific pain in death.

God bless you. You get these correct in your mind, heart and soul and you will be firmly set on the Way, that is the Way known as our Saaviour.

As others have mentioned, that was perfectly fine.

It’s easy to see you have a beautiful heart and I thank God for who you are, but I have to side with Jesus when he says anyone who denies him will be condemned.

What I have posted is not intended to include any enemies of our Saiviour, Jesus Yeshua.

It is good to strive to be a bishop
1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;...
1 Timothy 3:7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Being hospitable is not a sin, but consider the sanction against those who speak against the teachings of Jesus from within and without.
2 John 1:9Anyone who runs ahead without remaining in the teaching of Christ does not have God. Whoever remains in His teaching has both the Father and the Son.10If anyone comes to you but does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your home or even greet him. 11Whoever greets such a person shares in his evil deeds.

When I greet people, of any religion, I say, "Whassup Bruh?", then give a high-5.

That is, clearly, the only proper Christian greeting.

Christ would say you are right. We are to be peach makers, not warriors. We are to be make friends with our enemies and do good for them.

Peach makers. I like a peach. Yum yum.

Where in the Bible does it say we are to make friends with our enemies?

I can't recall any but I do know that Jesus said love them.

Romans 12:20
20 Therefore
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Proverbs 16:7 When a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord,
He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Matthew 5:25 Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, so that your opponent may not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

Leads them to destruction.. a truth yet not. Leading them wrong way yes. Well Jesus told them if He had not come and spoken they would have no sin. Kind hard to judge someone on the truth when they never heard it. To make this more real.. what did she walk away with? Did she hear of Jesus? See Jesus in you? Oh I am first talking to my self. I would have had the thought but.. not sure I would have said a word. :) you being nice what you said.. is Christ :) See the more we pray and read His word and keep from being part of this world and also with Him. There is a light in us a real light people can see. Had it happen..just standing there girl comes up " your a Christian arent you?" "Yes how did you know?" "There was just something about you".

Then what JESUS are we talking about? Your Jesus my Jesus? The same yes lol. Morons? JW, STA, WOF, Baptist, Catholics? All the same right? :) So if tell them about Jesus they can be saved but a Mormon or Catholic or JW .. you get what I am saying. Now I toss them all out.. no group just Jesus came in the flesh died on the cross for the worlds sin. Was buried rose the 3rd day is the only way to the Father. They believe that they are saved.. but they have to KNOW IT. So in my view most are blind. Clear because we know in heaven no one can count the number from every tribe ever nation :)
