I thank that there is a misunderstanding where I was trying to go with this thread. Yes I did call it Milk or Meat. I was aiming it at the teaching that most Christians get every time they enter there church. I also am trying to point out that those of us that do take this to heart that do want to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Peter, Paul, John . . .

Amos 8:11

English Standard Version
“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I will send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.

Berean Study Bible
Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will send a famine on the land—not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.

King James Bible
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Verse 12

English Standard Version
They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD, but they shall not find it.

Berean Study Bible
People will stagger from sea to sea and roam from north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.

King James Bible
And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

We are seeing this today. There is a real need to be reaching people that are setting in the churches of your town, city that are being led the way of the wide gate. This is why I point out Paul's teaching in

1st Corinthians 3.1

English Standard Version
But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
Berean Study Bible
Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ.
King James Bible
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Verse 2.

English Standard Version
I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready,
Berean Study Bible
I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready,
King James Bible
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

Verse 3.

English Standard Version
for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?
Berean Study Bible
for you are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and dissension among you, are you not worldly? Are you not walking in the way of man?
King James Bible
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Hebrews 5
Warning against Drifting Away
11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

2nd Timothey 4
Preach the Word
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine 2Tim.4:3

Let's borrow some truth from biology to get a handle on these concepts.

Milk is NOT inferior food. It is densely packed with nutrients and is perfectly designed to facilitate the growth and development of the infant. Don't think 'skim milk'; rather, think breast milk that a mother secretes for her newborn. It is rich in fats, sugars, protein, micronutrients and antibodies in the correct proportions that the baby needs while it is incapable of feeding itself.

For all its wonders, milk was not ordained by God to be consumed exclusively for the rest of one's life. Rather, He intended that the baby would grow and mature, and start to obtain its food by its own effort. All mammals eventually stop drinking milk and start eating "meat" (whole foods in their raw form). These provide the same nutrients but in different forms that the maturing/mature body is capable of processing.

Similarly, with the truths of the Christian faith, the teaching for new believers should be carefully prepared with a healthy balance of basic building blocks. Since new believers are unable to process the raw truths, mature believers have the responsibility to present these truths in basic forms. The "milk" must contain the same components as the "meat" but in simpler forms.

Frequently on this forum, people put across the idea that the material they are studying is "meat" while that which others are studying is "milk". There's a word for such ideas: arrogance. If you think that you have matured beyond milk, but consider others inferior because they don't have the "advanced knowledge and understanding" that you supposedly have, you are actually still sucking at the teat. Healthy adults don't mock or criticize babies; they protect and nurture them, and, if they are humble, can learn important lessons from them.
This hit the nail on the head. That is why Paul scolded the Corinthians. Their striving and jealousy proved that they needed the basic foundation laid again. Until they grasped the importance of loving and doing all things from the motivation of love their supposed "spiritual wisdom" that they thought they were operating in above others, was not wisdom from above at all. They were still carnal. worldly, not at all mature spiritually.

And I would say the same goes for anyone who does not get deeply involved in a local fellowship of believers. If they don't have a revelation of the local church and their part in one, they are either not saved yet, or if they are, they are mere babes in need of milk.

Those who think they know the scriptures and have reasons why they don't think they need to fellowship with a local church are actually just babes in need of milk and their wisdom is still carnal, and not mature at all. One of the first things a Christian must learn is the importance of the body of the Christ, the local fellowship and their part in one, serving and operating in the love of the Spirit. That is the foundation. If that is not there none of their ideas about the bible matter a hill of beans.

Come on people lets be real is this what you would have said to Paul or in response to this:

Hebrews 5 KJV

Warning against Drifting Away

11Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

MILK AND SOLID FOOD

Hebrews 5 BSB

11We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain, because you are dull of hearing. 12Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word.c You need milk, not solid food!

13For everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness. 14But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil.

Warning Against Apostasy

Hebrews 5 ESV

11About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

1st Corinthians 3 ESV

Divisions in the Church

1But I, brothers,a could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. 2I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, 3for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 4For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human?5What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.

1st Corinthians 3 BSB

God’s Fellow Workers

1Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual, but as worldly—as infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for solid food. In fact, you are still not ready, 3for you are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and dissension among you, are you not worldly? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role. 6I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose,a and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

1st Corinthians 3 KJV

Paul and Apollos God's Fellow Workers

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. 2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

5Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 8Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. 9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

1st Peter 2 KJV

2As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1st Peter 2 BSB

2Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

1st Peter 2 ASV

2Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil. Explains it.

1 Peter is different context. Peter is saying that even the most mature are to desire the sincere milk of the Word.

Noah Sends a Raven and a Dove
6And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: 7And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. 8Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; 9But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. 10And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; 11And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. 12And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

I used to read the bible a lot, but then I got a brain injury and went from having a life-long passion for reading to finding it almost painful and difficult to read. I now find reading unpleasant. This is why I avoid in-depth discussions.
I have a deep assurance of my salvation, though I don't know how much help I am to others regarding scripture. I do what I can.

After the Salvation Message Here is where you should go next.

3 World Ages and Gods Elect.

The word "Titus" in the Greek means "protected". When you understand the doctrine taught in this book of Titus, you are protected in your mind. Titus was a Greek, meaning he was a Gentile, call by God to help Paul bring His word to the Gentiles. There are several things in this little book that I know will ruffle some feathers but if you take the time to stop and thank, and read you will come to a much deeper understand of Gods word.

Titus was called to purity by Paul. No man no matter who (before you yell except Jesus) is not going to reach that goal. We live in a flesh bod, and we will fall short. We are going to get some training, rules, helps, for Gods elect to come closer to that goal. Paul is encouraging the leaders of the church to keep trying even when they stumble a little here and there.

Verses will be copied from Biblehum.com KJV.

Chapter 1:1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

If you do not know Paul was struck down, blinded, by God on his way to Damascus to imprison, torture, and kill Christians. God changed him and used him to do mighty things for him and write most of the New Testament. “According to the faith of God's elect” Gods elect that is a term we need to come to understand. Paul did not choose to become a Christian. There are those that God has chosen for cretin jobs at cretin times. That is where this term “God's elect” comes from.

2.In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

In hope “ I would say in a sure hope. “Just me.” This is a hope given to us by God who CAN NOT lie. When did Paul say He gave it to us? Before the world began! Stop and thank about that statement. That was before Genesis 1:2.

Lets stop here and go to 2nd Peter 3 and see just what God had to say through him. 3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Notice what it says here: Scoffers will come, they will be walking after there own lust; Saying He promised He was going to come. Where is HE? They are willing ignorant: willingly unlearned or unskilled in the truth of a matter. What are they ignorant about the first world age where the earth was in the water and out of the water; just as it is today. Then what happened.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Strong's Concordance

Even listening. I can't listen or read for long, though there are exceptions.
All things are possible, if one only believes.
