I have something on my mind:

 this is a Christian website?????
So much of the stuff I have read here (around the site) today from "Christians" makes my stomach churn
I tell you what, if I wasn't already a believer and follower in Christ, there are not very many people here who would convince me to do so.
Actually, this thread is quite friendly and laid back. Most peeps that post here have been doing it for years and actually know one anothe quite well. Nothing unchristian about enjoying some Christian fellowship with one another, even if humor is involved, which often times, there is. More serious stuff in the BDF but don't forget your flak jacket.

Yeah, well I don't find much of Him around here either :cry:
There is good and bad on here I suppose. I allow his spirit to try and guide me. Not everyone is a Christian on here. Also some that are , sometimes are at different levels of faith. We can try and show them God's love . I am under the impression they allow so much to go on and to show some love and mercy. But many times do take appropriate actions when something is really wrong. Maybe send a complaint to those that are moderators etc.

I didn't specifically say THIS thread; in fact I said:

What about when that humor becomes perverted?

More serious stuff in the BDF but don't forget your flak jacket.
Is it okay to categorize BDF as where all "the bad stuff" happens, and yet in all the other threads mock the brethren, and provoke others knowing that what one says will bring negative results by the one provoked?

Many of us do, are you sure you would recognize Him?
I'd like to think that you are genuinely asking this, but seeing as how too many of your posts come off as condescending I am left doubting that to be true.
And I can certainly recognize when it's not Him ;)

I don't think he did categorize bdf that way.
if it seems people are mocked and provoked, is it not just like life in an unredeemed world?

"SPEAK YOUR MIND"
Thanks, but maybe I shouldn't. Someone is likely to become offended and twist what's spoken to justify their own thoughts/feelings on the matter.

So you are one of them......

I haven't been on the site a lot over the last few months, busy with work you see... but a good old fashioned troll is always a welcome reminder that the world did not stop for nobody.....

Okey dokey I am off to do some work.

never condescending, that sounds like a reaction the adversary would attempt to plant in a person.
If many others do know and recognize the Spirit and another person doesn't the problem is never from above.
Your response in #94,207 is where I glean this observation.
best wishes

We're all family here, and as in most families, the occasional squabble occurs.

Most of the members that are frequently regular contributors understand each other quite well. What you may see as putting someone down might actually be good-natured sarcasm with no intent to hurt or malign one's character.

Yes, there are a few bad apples here but that is to be expected. This is very much a Christian site. Not sure what you really expected, no one is going to set around a campfire here and sing Kumbaya. Nobody is perfect here either, including myself. I would not take someone's flaws as being indicative of that person not being a Christian.

What did Jesus say of His family?

In some circles this is very obvious.

I'm not talking about what buddy buddies say and do to each other.
I'm referring to how certain cliques react and treat those who are not

You miss my original point on this matter entirely, which is not if a person is a Christian or not.
My whole point was (and still is) that if I were an unbeliever, or new baby in the faith and stumbled across this, there is very little that would show/tell me that Christians are any different from the world.

I guess being concerned makes me a troll.
oh well, go back to your coffee and doughnut social club.
After all, just about every church I've been to recently has that too.

You glean observation over my 1 post?
Gee, I'm sorry that I don't know how many of your posts I have read and "glean observation" from. Surely it has been far more than 1 though.

You are not a troll that's for sure.

The thing is, from my own personal observation and experience, Christians are not any different than those that are in the secular world. The difference is that they were saved by the shed blood of Jesus dying on the cross. Jesus, himself said "Who is good except the Father". He didn't even say that he was good but displayed humbleness by deferring to the Father.

Being a Christian means to be Christ-Like. I haven't met too many of those in my life except maybe my parents. God only knows the hell I put them through in my youth. Oh, I consider my wife to be Christ-Like. Another person that comes to mind was this woman at work many years ago. She displayed a Christ-characteristic that was shown by the way that she conducted herself and how she treated others. This was during my single years. If she was not already married, I could see myself forming an enduring relationship with.

She brought me lunch one day at work that she cooked herself. She was from India and prepared some authentic Indian cuisine Very spicy for sure, but quite tasty and scrumptious. I could've got used to that with no trouble.

This woman was a Muslim. Go figure.
