This was brought up in court. There's literally a lady in prison right now because she drove by the family's home with a gun shouting Alex Jones infowars.
This was enough evidence for the jury to decide that Jones is defamation inspired these death threats and that's why he's being held liable

that is called guilt by accocatiom.

if i go down to city hall in my town ( run by a very liberal gov.) and throw rotten eggs on it while shouting " trump 2024". should trump be sued for that??

Relative to the context and subject matter of this thread, that's what's called a non-sequitor.

Agreed. Someone in their right mind doesn't do what she did to a grieving family. Thank Christ she didn't choose to fire a gun into the family home.

As for Nicolas Cruz his trial is a travesty.

He pled guilty, which should save the state alot of time due to there being no need for a criminal trial on multiple capital charges.

Ohhh noooo, that would make sense. The court instead has blocked off 16 weeks for not a trial, where the rules of evidence would apply, but rather a 16 week victim impact statement from every willing member of the families of Cruz's victims.

The judge is letting anything the state wants to bring into evidence come before the jury. Regardless of defense objection.

This would be prejudicial and inflammatory at the very least were this a criminal trial proceeding but, because this is not that the jury was driven to the school where the massacre occurred.

A school locked up sealed, for almost 4 years! NEVER SANITIZED! The carnage, the blood and tissues of his victims still spread over all of the different floors and rooms of the school. Nearly 4 summers heat, no AC, no ventillation.

Then the authorities opened that school to let jurors see all that carnage and get hit with those smells.
Likely never would happen in a criminal proceeding. But because this is the impact portion of the case, anything goes. At least according to the behaviors of his judge. And the lack of zealous defense of their client by Cruz's lawyers is aggravating.

Florida's DA and I'd say Governor want that boy dead. They want to inflame this jury so they sentence Cruz to death. All jurors must vote for the death sentence for that to apply.

When imo Cruz should be in a psychiatric facility. Or, sentenced to life w/o parole.

And this is going to go on for 16 weeks! The state tested their case in chief last week. Now the its the defense's turn.
What can they say when they were mostly quiet during the states case.

Cruz is sick and evil. He clearly premeditated this massacre. However, we can't abrogate the justice system because someone thinking themselves to possess the authority to do that in one particular case for their own reasons wants to ''get'' a particular defendant.

Because that then puts the law on trial, and bodes I'll for defendant's in the future. Justice is suppose to be blind, not vindictive.
I could go into how I hate long term prison sentences and prefer rehabilitation where possible, but I'll digress here. And agree its vindictiveness solves nothing.

I don't know if therapy could help Cruz. However, as I see it killing a mentally ill kid because he killed a lot of kids does not sound like justice.

Cruz didn't one day become what killed all those kids. This was a build up over time that culminated in his actions.

People ignored or missed that. They're responsible for their failure as much as he is for his actions.

Correct but the medical establishment was only interested in putting him on dope. Maybe now is too late for therapy, but the years leading up to 2012 might have turned up different results. Now sadly the only humane thing to do may be put him to sleep. As much as I hate saying such things.
Our prison system is just torture and torment for profit. Our mental health facilities are even worse.

All this leaves me chills, how many time bombs are out there ready to burst and we don't care. Just dope em up real good and keep moving on as long we only have to reality them after they commit an atrocity and the pollies can politicize it to their advantage.

Same old story with Uvalde. Did ya know that this guy showed himself to be a danger to himself and society for a long time. He went untended to after years of serious signs.
To make things even worse no one did as they are supposed to be trained to do. The teachers having heard the shots across the street put the kids in the class rooms but failed to lock the doors (likely panicked and not thinking) a police officer had this guy in his rifle sights far before he entered the building, but watched him enter the building with a rifle. The cop never shot at him because he was waiting for clearance to shoot. Then the police held a parameter for over 20 minutes. The police department released all the video footage. Our culture or society is totally unwilling to do anything but politicize these things.

Shouldn't Alex' accusers first have to prove evidence beyond all reasonable doubt that Sandy Hoax wasn't a hoax, before they can sue him? I for one demand more evidence than a bunch of useless actors shedding crocodile tears on television - I still think it was a hoax (like all the other hoaxes and false flags to disarm the American population).

People are saying that Alex is on the government's side - in some ways, I can understand this. If he wasn't, why doesn't he point out in his trial that the only reason otherwise rational people believe in the Sandy Hoax is that it was broadcast on television?

And that's something that's very curious in that after the investigation they would say that "a police officer had this guy in his rifle sights far before he entered the building (so before he committed the criminal act at the school) ,,,, think about it,, that would mean that the police were called, drove to the school and were at the crime scene before the crime took place.

He had already shot at the funeral home workers according to the report.
Walking onto a school property with a gun is a crime.

I hate to say this but if you are walking onto a school property with a weapon and are not a uniformed officer you should be shot on sight.

Ok so a lot if things here., as far as what is said in the media; its the only way the vast majority know about anything that happens world wide.
The only way we know that there is a war in Ukraine or even that there was ever a president Donald Trump. I live very far from the White House so I never saw him be a president. Ive never seen him at all is he even real or a conjure of the media. So it being known only by media is a straw man.

My question is, what is going on in politics that this Alex Jones thing is so prevalent?

It seems mainstream media wants to "control the narrative," so the more they can discredit
alternative sources, which proliferate now more than ever, the better for them.

And the Oscar goes to....
That is a great synopsis of AJ's actual lunatic fringe followers. Likely that woman who was arrested sounded just like that. 😆 Well done.

Meh, what is it, 6 degrees of separation? With independent media these days replacing the lying lamestream, it's not too hard to find out about anything. Easy to know there's a war or insurgency in Ukraine. Hard to know which side is responsible for what, but the lamestream doesn't solve that problem, either.

I think the First Amendment and the protection of free speech shouldn't be trampled underfoot lightly. To my understanding, Alex caused no harm to the actors and actresses involved in the Sandy Hoax. If they weren't acting, why was the so-called dad laughing before he realised he was on camera, the day his child was allegedly murdered?

The good thing that may come of this is the precedent it sets for all the lying media and the covid-vaxx hoax. If Alex gets hit with $45M in damages for hurting a couple of parents feelings, think how much more damages those will be entitled to, who lost jobs or suffered injury or the death of loved ones from the lies the LSM, government, employers, doctors, Big Pharma etc. told about the safety and effectiveness of the covid fake-vaxx death shots.

Agreed, so lamestream media aside we have also many alternative media outlets that at least is you have a broad spectrum you can get an idea of whats going on. Even if you cant get any real details. This is how we know the Sandy Hook shooting was real. Other alternative media and peripheral stories. Always watch the peripheral stories and the years later stories.
Kind of like the lame stream media story now how they killed the terrorist organization leader yet again for the third time. After we had supposedly pulled our military out months and months ago. See how none of that adds up.
But the stories around Sandy Hook does add up. There arent any contradicting stories barring Alex Jones.

So why was the dad smiling until he was caught on camera? Then suddenly when he realised, he puts on a sad face? Why all the conflicting stories at the start?

For me, if Thomas demanded to see the holes in the hands and side of our Lord, I don't think anything less would convince me that this event really happened. For example, if Sandy Hoax was a real false flag, why were so many of the other mass-shootings fakes?

I think the appeal of Alex Jones is that conspiracy theories make stupid people feel smart. Also he has more lawsuits coming up in September
I believe there are another 10 or 11 plaintiffs suing him

For what? Questioning a media that has been proven to deliberately lie? If you acknowledge the media is lying about vaccines, why is it inconceivable that it lied about mass shootings? Remember, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". I'm not the one willing to be lied to a second time (not that I've trusted the media in the last decade, for the same reason). If you are satisfied being lied to, you know how the saying goes.

You got to be trolling. Defamation is not just hurt feelings. Defamation is when you can prove in court that someone's lies caused you damages which the plaintiffs did.
This monster property off of harassing and bullying and grieving families and he can burn in hell and anyone who supports him can burn in hell right next to him
