I have observed that in almost every single natural disaster the early estimates of how much the cost will be is far below the final cost. I have concluded there are two reasons for this. Insurance companies want to put the very best face on this to avoid a run on their stock price and the second reason is that insured losses are only a small part of the overall cost.

The entire Green New Deal is about giving politicians who are idiots (demonstrable truth) and corrupt trillions of dollars. The people telling us that we have to reduce our carbon footprint are flying all over the world on the US dime in private planes. They tell us the sea level is rising and then buy $12 million dollar mansions on the coast. This is as big a scam as anything we have ever seen.

That said I agree we are seeing "climate change" but it is not explained by our models of greenhouse gases. In addition to the "climate change" we are also seeing a 1,000% increase in earthquakes around the world as well as a massive increase in meteor events. Something is definitely happening but they are lying to us about what it is. I am a geologists and have studied the impact of greenhouse gases on the climate since the 80s. My university had one of the first scientists to go study the ice cores in Antarctica over this issue.

Yes, climate change is a real thing. So then, we need a real diagnosis. If this was due to greenhouse gases the models would predict it. We have had 20 years to tweek them, correct them, gather data to make them more accurate and use AI. One simple way to test a model is to use 20 years of data to see if you can predict the next 10, even the next year, and we have failed to do that.

This means we are missing some key factors.

So they began expanding the data to include sun spots, solar cycles, and other factors and yet the changes we are seeing are way more dramatic than anything the models predict, even at the most extreme predictions.

Not only so but there are many observations that have nothing to do with climate change. I think you can even argue a 10,000% increase in meteors and a 1,000% increase in earthquakes. No one saw that as a result of greenhouse gases. So they ignore it. That is not science, that is religion.
