Did James warn believers to get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in them for the benefit of saving their souls?

James 1:21

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls.

James 2:1
My brothers, as you hold out your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, do not show favoritism.

There is no gospel in the Book of James, start there and maybe you can begin to understand what James is writing about.

"Hebrews is for, well, the Hebrews" = Jews, Under covenants,
and in the Great Tribulation!

For the "Body Of Christ, Under GRACE Through faith" (Eph 2:8) =
Romans - Philemon!! See especially Romans 11:6!!! Amen?
What about these?

Romans 1:3-5 concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

Romans 2:6-8 He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

Colossians 3:5-14 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

(It's also interesting to hear Judaizers say unbelieving Jews are still God's chosen people, while this epistle openly refers to Christians as God's chosen ones!

I do agree with this. Scripture does not support this at all!

Read the passage, Jesus states "I never knew you."

Good works will not save, you need to be in Jesus and Jesus in you.
Both are needed.

Whether is faith only or both that saves, a faith without works is dead.

Yes, they may be individually grafted again if they don't continue in unbelief.

But some say they will all be saved regardless, which is what crosses over the boundary of heresy.

Yes of course, but their role to usher forth the Messiah has been completed. They are saved in the same way as everyone else.

Faith should activate works but works do not save.

James is not preaching a different Gospel, there is only one Gospel and it is clearly outlined several times in scripture in other places.

I have done my best to defend the Gospel but you cling to your self saving efforts, so be it.

I didn't twist anything, you did. You said salvation comes before discipleship in post #2470 and it doesn't. A disciple can preach the gospel and save those who will accept it:
Disciples save those who accept?

Works can't save or add one thing to Christ's finished work. However, works are evidence of our faith. No works, no faith. Anyone who says they have faith but has no works is deluding himself.

Joh 5:23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Precious friend, so you do not believe That The ONE-Time Infinite
Sacrifice
Of The Eternal God, And Saviour, Jesus Christ, Is An:

ALL-Sufficient Payment For The "PENALTY" of our wicked sins?

Do you believe it is INsufficient, and that "we HAVE TO make up
the DIFFERENCE
"? Of course, According to Scripture that would
require us "pay the Eternal Debt we owe To God," which is:

ETERNAL Condemnation!:
Rom 4:4 "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of Grace, but of DEBT"Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, butbelieveth on Him That Justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.Either we "trust Him And HIS ALL-SUFFICIENT Sacrifice"
Totally BY HIS Grace through faith = 100%
OR:
we work for Eternal Life, trusting Him 000%, ending
with . us . PAYING . our . own . DEBT ... 100% = ETERNAL Death!!

-----------------------------
After we are ETERNALLY Saved By His MERCY, Then that is when
we should humbly proceed to submit and "serve Him in love,"
(not FEAR) and Will Be Rewarded for "GOOD works!" Amen?:

In God's Dispensation Of Grace/Mystery (Rom - Phm)

"Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and
every man Shall Receive his own reward according to his
own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye
are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

According to The Grace of God which is given unto me, as a
wise masterbuilder, I have laid The Foundation, and another
buildeth Thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth
Thereupon
. For other foundation can no man lay than That is
laid, Which Is Jesus Christ.

Now IF any man build upon This Foundation gold, silver,
precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work
Shall Be Made Manifest
: for The Day Shall Declare it,
because it Shall Be Revealed by fire; and the fire shall
try every man's work
of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon,
he Shall Receive a reward.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:
BUT he himself Shall Be Saved; yet so as by fire."
(1Co 3:8-15) Amen?
-------------------
Please Be Very RICHLY Encouraged And Edified In
The LORD JESUS CHRIST, And His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided
(+ I and II).

Grace, Peace, And JOY!...
But if Christ's sacrifice is perfect and sufficient and infinite, then why do we need more dispensations?

But the essence is that a Christian needs faith and works in their life, regardless of the details about which saves. A faith without works is dead, and works without faith do not lead anywhere.

There is no gospel in the Book of James, start there and maybe you can begin to understand what James is writing about.
He seems to be saying people that had (in bold)

James 2:1
My brothers, as you hold out your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, do not show favoritism.

And had

James 4:5
Or do you think the Scripture says without reason that the Spirit He caused to dwell in us yearns with envy?

Could save their

James 1:21
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls

If they got rid of

James 1:21
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls

in them

This is how that form of "saved" was used in other parts of the Scripture including 1 Timothy 1:15
further

souls.

The PERFECTLY Sufficient Sacrifice Of The LORD Jesus Christ has nothing
to do with dispensations, but With The PAYMENT for the PENALTY of sin
(in ALL dispensations!) - - - - - FULL PAYMENT only applied to believers!

Grace, Peace, and JOY In Christ, and In HIS FREE Gift of ETERNAL Life! Amen.

This is the same thing ALL people who twist scripture do.

It SEEMS like MAYBE what you are saying is correct. But its not.

The problem is that if you are not ACTIVELY confessing Christ then you are denying Him. In ADDITION to actively denying Him.

So there is only 1 way to Confess Christ but there are MANY ways to deny Christ.

Which comes back to this VERY SIMPLE scripture.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

According to YOUR CONTRADICTION of scripture you have people who DON'T BELIEVE and are NOT condemned simultaneously. "Well its not their fault so they're not condemned".

There is ONLY 2 choices here. Believe + no condemnation or Don't Believe + condemnation. There is no Don't Believe + no condemnation like you are trying twist scripture to say.

So you are ABSOLUTELY incorrect. I am not saying ANYTHING against scripture. I am telling you Scripture, which is against your Imagination.
There are requirements for someone to come under condemnation. I proved it using the Bible.

I know, agreeing with the what I am showing you in the Bible is uncomfortable, but it's there nevertheless. I'll show more from the Bible about not being born under condemnation. There's more, too, but I'll save it for later.

Babies aren't born with awareness, what may be known to God isn't plain to them, nor has His divine nature and power been clearly seen or understood, therefore they actually do have an excuse for not believing in God. Babies are not capable of understanding general revelation, denying Christ before men, or rejecting Jesus.

Romans 1:18,19
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.
