i didnt wear pink. I ended up wearing gold and brown, the old school colours but they changed the uniform to black and white stripes.
The school had a semi makeover but was still the crumbling to bits institution I remembered. It was built in the late 60s early 70 when poo brown was the fashionable colour. Thats as far as the buildings went.
The students were a teaming mass and it seemed boys liked hanging out in the library more than the girls. The library was housed in the old science block while the former library had turned into a music room.
I nearly got hit by a truck trying to enter the school gates....
everyone was at the awkward, pimply gangly stage. But at high school, it was disconcerting that everyone younger than me was now taller than me. It was nice to see teens still reading books. Though all the devices had been borrowed.
They had magazines but nobody even bothered reading magazines anymore. I think they are associated with doctors waiting rooms and junk mail, I dont know anyone who really reads them.
There was one clique that the librarian had to kick out and ban from the library because they were always eating in there. I said just say to them any food you bring in MUST be shared with the librarians who are hungry and will eat all your sushi.
