What are your favourite amusement park rides? And are there any you would be too scared to go on?

I never have been a big fan. They throw you around, compress your spine on the loops and spit you back out. Not my style of amusement.

I use to go to a park in Ohio that had an amazingly scary coaster.
I love roller coasters. Front seat, no hands.

I just pictured you as a cat lady lol.
We were supposed to go to Rainbows End today but it has been raining since last night, and not just a shower, more like a heavy down pour. Thats ok theres indoor fun to be had with bowling, pool, and movies. I like amusement park rides. The rollercoaster at R.E, I went on it 3 times in a row before I felt sick lol. Most rides are pretty fun except the ferris wheel! I am gripping on it for dear life!

Space Mountain at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
I went on that ride and it is basically a roller coaster in the dark... I jammed my wrist on one of the turns as you couldn't see which way to lean so it wasn't fun getting hurt but I did like the ride in spite of the injury.

I love roller coasters and water rides because you get wet and usually it's hot when you are at the amusement park and the water cools you off. There aren't many rides I'm afraid of.

theres no ferris wheel at Rainbows End?!

I went the other day before the rain came. I went on the roller coaster but just once. My tummy felt it...!
The goldrush ride was new and went on that twice but didnt like when it stops suddenly...whiplash?!

I always liked the log flume. Dodgem cars were fun too.

I was too scared to go on the one that drops and the other extreme ones like the stratofear, but then I had children with me who would have been too small to go on it.

as for cats haha I never saw them on the rollercoaster...

I'm a bit of a coaster nut, and the funny thing is, when they go through that big bad list of conditions that say you shouldn't ride, I check several of the no no boxes (motion sickness? Check! High blood pressure? Check!) but I don't care. I just pop a few meds and then hastily get into line. I love the brief feeling of "running" faster than anything that might be troubling me at the time, even if it's only for a few seconds.

My current avatar is a picture I took of Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure Velocicoaster.

One of the most unique things about this coaster is that instead of having that typical, "Ah, I can just sit back and relax" state at the end of the ride, it shoots you into an totally unexpected barrel roll at the end.

And. I. LOVE. IT. !!!

I always hear about how the front row of a coaster is best but the lines are so long that I usually never wait... But I waited to get the front seat of this coaster twice. It's amazing how much more you can see. This ride is based on the Jurassic World movies, with the story being that you've been let loose in the Raptor Paddock with Charlie, Delta, Echo, and of course, Blue -- the 4 raptors from the movie -- and they haven't been fed... and are tracking YOU.

I never knew all 4 make an appearance on the ride until I was in the front row (previously, I'd only seen one.) It's also amazing how much of a difference there is between riding on a coaster in the daylight vs. at night -- it's a completely different ride.

But the most inspiring thing I saw during that trip was a woman who had to have been in her 70's sitting in the very front row of Rip Ride Rockit.

OH YEAH!!! It was awesome. She was fearless!!!

Someday, I want to be like THAT when I grow up. (I went on Rockit probably 5 times, but let's see if I can say the same someday when I'M 70.)

My daughter Jackie and me were riding Splash Mountain. Somehow she managed to break a finger by sticking it in the crevice of a fake rock. Song of the South is playing while you are riding in the log.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay,
My, oh, my, what a wonderful day.
Plenty of sunshine headin' my way,

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay!

I love roller coasters so much my Mother-in-law asked me what if it comes off the tracks? I said I'd die happy having a good time...lol

The last time I was in an amusement park ride was probably almost 20 years ago. I do seem to remember that this one was pretty fun:

I really like the huge wooden ones where the whole structure rocks! (Back & forth.)
Not so much in to the ones where you hang, or that loop. 😟
And yes! Love the flumes and getting wet when it's hot!

The ones that throw you around like a ragdoll are the best ones! Im usually wheezing so hard with tears rolling down my cheeks!

Exactly.

I've always figured if God decides to punch my ticket while I'm zooming around on an amazing coaster, at least He sent me off with a real bang! (Or should I say, a ZOOM.) 🎢
