Love em?
Hate em?
Don't care?

Please I want to know.

I'm guess Im in the don't care category. I dont care for jeans. I dont know why they are so popular. I dont know why everyone wears them, for me they are just so uncomfortable and expensive. There are much more comfortable and stylish clothes you could wear, in other colours.

When I was younger I was pressured into wearing them cos they were the 'cool' and trendy item to wear, but I never liked them.

My reasons...well I will expand on them further, but just want to bullet point why they are not in my wardrobe anymore

-pockets? too many, and on your butt, but you cant fit anything in them and its like you are feeling your butt when you slip your hand in there...or someone elses hands?!
-waistband...either too tight or need a belt to hold them up, and EXTRA item to buy
- creates muffin top when low waisted
-when high waisted is hard on your stomach
-cuts off circulation when too tight
-fades
-gets torn and holey so look like you wearing rags
- take ages to dry
-heavy when wet
-dont keep legs warm when its winter
-held on with rivets?!
-everyone wears them, boring
- mostly come in blue or black, black for gang members, blue for everyone else who cant be bothered
- then have to find matching top
-skinny ones nightmare to put on and pull off
-baggy ones fall down, your knickers exposed or worse, g-string

just bad bad bad fashion...
sorry...if you love jeans! you can state your case for them I dont mind, want to hear all points of view
Lanolin sounds like you just need to get jeans that fit properly!?! Are you buying them online or buying them at a store without trying them on?? What other types of bottoms would be better?

Did you mean boot-cut jeans, made for wearing with boots?

Bootleg is... something different. That's really cheap jeans with a famous brand tag sewed on.

We call them bootleg jeans which are jeans with a bit of a flare at the bottom.

It's interesting to note how words and phrases have different meanings in different cultures.

Here in the States, a "bootlegger" was someone who smuggled illicit items in the leg of their tall boots. Mostly alcohol during the American Prohibition era.

It is strange how we use different words and terms. I have not heard of a bootlegger.

I used to wear a pair of high cowboy boots at one stage of my life. I'd hide things like liquor bottles or a hair brush inside of them regularly. Sort of like a pocketbook for men.

I cannot speak for anyone else. I'm a guy and Jeans is the most preferred dress code for me. I come from a tropical climate and Jeans is easy to wear.

The thing about wearing Jeans is that I wear them 3 to 4 times before washing them. If I had worn them throughout the day, I wash them before using them next. But if I wear them for short times out, then I use them many times before washing them. 2 days at least. I don't do that with other clothes. Don't ask me how or why. It's just how it is. I'm sure it is that way for at least some people who are used to wearing Jeans.

They come in all colours I think. Black, Blue, Brown, ... what else? Those mostly.

I don't wash them with hands, so, since the machine does the washing, I just have to hang them on the clothesline and they are dry in a day. Even in winter and in rainfall times, they dry within a day. But that's because it may not be as cold here.

Jeans are the most durable clothes you can wear and they last you for years to come. They don't tear easy and even if they do, you could wear them and no one would care. Except if it is torn in between the legs lol.

Ever fell off your bike wearing Jeans? Or bitten in the leg by stray dogs while you wore Jeans? Couldn't feel more thankful for a little thick clothing in those situations.

And lastly, they're bad ass.

I dont like when you wash jeans and hang them out to dry and they are so stiff to wear. Fabric softener does not always do much good.

a bootlegger is a person who smuggles alcohol, or pirates music. Basically a criminal.

Jeans get two thumbs up for me. I don't always wear them but I do often, especially out in nature. I think they are great for fashion. Cute top, some cool sneakers or boots and wa laaaaa!!

when am out in nature I tend to wear shorts or cargo pants

I guess cos we dont have snakes in nz, and it can be wet. Jeans dont hold up to the wet. If going tramping (hiking to non nzers) jeans are the worst thing you can wear.

I have never seen a jeans flag...dont know if they would fly or flutter in the breeze.

You COULD make pants out of flags though.
