Still on earth !
If the 2 choices are eternal life or eternal death but eternal for death just means poof you're no more........why struggle against Satan for eternal life.
It would be much easier to just choose the E death, would it not.

See this is why ANNIHILATION is false !

That little guy is probably wearing square pants.
I placed him in my signature because it encapsulates my existence, a sponge engaged in study. But, my only regret is that the file is so big that it overshadows my postings. However, I shall continue, with apologies not apologies, until I find a more suitable gif to replace it. :p

God is pretty clear the wages of sin is DEATH the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is the only one who is immortal no beginning and no end. Man is mortal and we are told sin will rise no more and sinners will be destroyed.

Malachi 4:3, KJV: And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

The grave is also referred to as hell and once the sinner is dead their punishment is forever eternal to never exist again as though they had never been born.

Death in that sense doesn't mean 'annihilation'. If that is true, people who don't want God would love this situation.
why doesn’t it though ?

people who don’t want God would love the idea of going to a holding place of torment until they are raised up for the final judgement and thrown into a fire so hot it incinerates them? And ends tbier existance ? I’m not sure anyone is going to love that idea

and what does it mean to perish ? That doesn’t mean what it says either ?

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

does perish mean “ suffer for all eternity “ or does it mean you’ll die and be destroyed “

Let me pose a question suppose you have just an average person they are actually pretty friendly they help other people sometimes when they feel generous they never kill or do massive harm to people ect

But when they hear about jesus they think it’s a fable

is this person going to suffer for all eternity ? Or did they forfeit eternal life ?

So they have reduced what could be an eternal existance in the presence of God

down to seventy or eighty years then tbey pay thier dues for thier deeds according to justice and then hey are extinguished forever everlasting destruction

“in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:8-9‬

you believe people would love that idea ?

God is the only one who is immortal no beginning and no end.
"No beginning and no end" means "everlasting" or "eternal". "Immortal" means not subject to physical death. God has immortatlity until the resurrection, at which point all the saints will also be immortal. We should never go with half truths.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Cor 15:53,54).

What was Paul talking about? The resurrection of the saints at the Resurrection/Rapture of the Church.

Christ the eternal Word of God chose to take a human body and made Himself voluntarily subject to death for our salvation. But God the Word was eternal, and He is now in an immortal glorious and glorified body. And all His saints will resemble Him, to the praise of the glory of God's grace.

Personally, I just believe John 3:16 where it simply says that those who believe in God's Son have eternal life and everyone else perishes. Plain and clear. No eternal life in hell then. Case closed. Not here to convince anyone about it, but I have my mind made up to believe what the Bible says.

i used to believe in eternal conscious torment, but now I don't. Annihilation of the soul in hell makes more sense. and more in tune with God's nature.
God will destroy sin once and for all in hell. They will be no more.
I suggest those searching for answers to watch this. This video is what changed my thinking on death, hell and eternal torment.

I DID NOT SAY THAT !

Here is where ignorance comes into play, not comprehending what is said causes division, disputes debates ect..........

The Spirit IS STILL WORKING HERE ON EARTH, RIGHT?
He still convicts of sin, correct?

If folks are given the choice of " eternal life", or poof ,it's over for you, baby".........what do any think is the choice of the many?

Annihilation is FALSE !

Please folks if you lack COMPREHENSION don't respond to me for I lack PATIENCE ! Thanks.

So you would rather believe false teachers than Scripture? Once you go down that slippery slope, there is no turning back. We can either believe 100% what God says or disbelieve God. There is no middle ground.

those who deny the enternal hell punishment are doing harm to those new to the Lord :

Bible 101 on hell read in context the vast amount of scriptures and words of our Lord who is the authority on the topic.

  • God made Hell because of who he is - holy, holy, holy (Isa 6:3; Rev 4:8) - and thus is too pure to look upon sin (Hab 1:13).
  • (2) God is love (1 John 4:7-8) and while he spoke more concerning Heaven than he did Hell, in his holiness and honesty Jesus spoke about Hell (i.e. Gehenna) a considerable amount of times too - since he is the Word, Jesus is actually the author of every usage of Hell in the Bible (Matt 5:22, 29, 30; 10:28; 18:9; 23:15, 33; Mark 9:43, 45, 47; Luke 12:5; parallels to the same; Matt 7:21-23; 8:12; 13:42; 24:29-31, 45-51; 25:30-32, 41-46; Rev 2:11, etc.).
  • (3) God is the Judge and sends the unsaved to Hell (Matt 25:41; 2 Pet 2:4, 9).
  • (4) In another sense, people send themselves to Hell, as they willing sin against God (Rom 2:5; 3:23; 1 Cor 6:9).
  • (5) Hell was prepared for the Devil and his angels (Matt 25:41), but Satan's seed (Gen 3:15) will spend eternity there as well (Rev 20:14).
  • (6) Hell is a place where one can never stop sinning (Rom 8:7-8; Rev 21:8; 22:14-15). Since the sinners in Hell keep sinning there is perpetual punishment.
  • (7) Hell is a waterless place with no exit (Luke 16:24-26).
  • (8) Hell is a bottomless pit (Rev 20:1).
  • (9) Hell is a lake of fire into which the wicked will be cast alive forever (Rev 19:20; 20:15).
  • (10) Hell is a place of eternal torments (Luke 16:23).
  • (11) Hell is a place of everlasting punishment (Matt 25:46).
  • (12) Hell is a place of everlasting destruction from the presence of God (2 Thess 1:6-10).
  • (13) Hell is a place of being cut into pieces (Matt 24:51).
  • (14) Hell is a place where the worm dies not and the fire is not quenched (Mark 9:48).
  • (15) Hell is a place of outer darkness, of weeping, and gnashing of teeth (Matt 25:30).
  • (16) It's not enough for God to take us out of Hell; he must remove Hell out of us; and thus he sent his only begotten Son to die for the sins of his people (Rom 5:8; Jude 1:23; John 1:29).

A general definition of Annihilationism ("extinctionism" or "destructionism") is that after people have paid a penalty for their sins, they will be completely obliterated or cease to exist. Or, the annihilation view of Hell contends that there will be irreversible terrible and horrific punishment for the reprobate; those who don't know Christ. This punishment may last for a period of time, but ultimately it will end. The reprobate will simply pass out of existence; they will not be punished forever and ever.

those who hold to it :
Some of the false denominations that teach a form of Annihilationism include: Christadelphians, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and Seventh-day Adventists. Some other theologians are also campaigning against the historic doctrine of an eternal Hell; such as Philip E. Hughes, John Stott, and John W. Wenham, Michael Green, et. al.

one begins to study Annihilationism, they will soon discover that there are different nuances to the doctrine.

Let me introduce you to the true God-Deut 32:4--All of his ways are JUSTICE. He taught all that perfect justice he stands for= An eye for an eye. That means his justice scales are in perfect balance.

So for 70-100 years of an unrepentent life, God could not or would not punish a weak little mortal for trillions x trillions x trillions of never ending years of punishment in a place of firey torment. Only a sadist would do such a thing. God is love, merciful, .

As well a single teaching in the NT proves it was symbolic about eternal suffering. Mark 9:43-48-- 48 says-where the maggot( worm) does not die and the fire is not put out--Reality check--No maggot or worm could survive for 1 hour in a hot firey place, proving it is symbolism.

The true God set before all mankind-Deut 30:19=LIFE or DEATH.

Its a sad thing not knowing the true God and going through life believing he is the sadist you present. You listened to the wrong teachers-these-2Cor 11:12-15

I guess you didnt watch the video I linked. I'm assuming you're nervous to do so because you might have to change your thoughts about eternal conscious torment going by what the Scriptures say. It's funny that you accuse me of beliving in false teachers that go against Scripture when that is exactly what you're doing. Watch the video then we can resume discourse on the matter.
