Co ed and also all grades in one big school room. There were only about 15 of us in the whole school. It was a private school , basically like a supervised homeschool group.

This was our church family only. Since most families homeschooled in our church, they just sent a few people to training to be school supervisors over this particular curriculum we were doing and opened our small school.

So you had Monday-Friday school instead of Sunday school? or did you have Sunday school as well?

Although we had preaching a few school days as well . We started each day out with Chapel which was prayer, Bible memorization where we'd go over our verses together that we were commiting to memory, a few hymns and some days a small sermon from a preacher. One of those Tuesday mornings I gave my heart to the Lord.

haha sounds like sunday school to me.

I had Bible on wednesdays once a week. for half an hour, but that was only in primary school.

In high school there was no Bible time during lessons but if you wanted to join a christian fellowship and have prayer time, you did it in your lunchbreak.

I am going back to school. Hopefully this week if the weather is ok.

I am even going back to my old high school! The librarian there invited me so I will visit.

I wonder if I'll get triggered when I go back. I saw this movie called Senior High and it was about a girl who was in a coma for 20 years and she wanted to go back to High school to complete her senior year. Things had changed...but the cheerleading routines were still the same. He best friend became the principal of the school and her childhood sweetheart was the librarian.

Then the guy she had a crush on had a daughter who was now the most popular girl in school that everyone followed on insta. She went back to try and win him back for I dont know what reason. Then Alicia Silverstone from Clueless made an appearance in the movie which was totally random.

Lanolin that sounds like a good adventure going back to your old stomping grounds. Are you going to dress up in full librarian garb? Maybe a white & black striped shirt to look like text…

Lanolin, well that is why you are a librarian. I bet you are quite youthful. It would be neat to see you in your Librarian garb. I might steal a few glances… 😉

i didnt wear pink. I ended up wearing gold and brown, the old school colours but they changed the uniform to black and white stripes.

The school had a semi makeover but was still the crumbling to bits institution I remembered. It was built in the late 60s early 70 when poo brown was the fashionable colour. Thats as far as the buildings went.

The students were a teaming mass and it seemed boys liked hanging out in the library more than the girls. The library was housed in the old science block while the former library had turned into a music room.

I nearly got hit by a truck trying to enter the school gates....

everyone was at the awkward, pimply gangly stage. But at high school, it was disconcerting that everyone younger than me was now taller than me. It was nice to see teens still reading books. Though all the devices had been borrowed.

They had magazines but nobody even bothered reading magazines anymore. I think they are associated with doctors waiting rooms and junk mail, I dont know anyone who really reads them.

There was one clique that the librarian had to kick out and ban from the library because they were always eating in there. I said just say to them any food you bring in MUST be shared with the librarians who are hungry and will eat all your sushi.

! I am reliving my high school years by going back to school
I even bought a graduation cap from the Sally Army
I cant believe the school is paying me to work there. But this time its to a private academy...!

I am going to be spending all my time at the library....even after school. It will be like having detention every day!!!

hmm well a week back at (high) school and I notice all those staying behind in the library all are on their devices watching their little tvs and playing video games on their devices. The library has turned into a ....video game lounge.

I just had one teen boy who was actually interested in the books. He's going to be the Gold library monitor.

In my old high school I never stayed behind after school to study, just went straight home. Though I did study hard for exams cos it like a competition and pressure was on to get top marks. Otherwise how else was I meant to enter university (which was my mums dream) but at that age I was sick of school and wanted to leave and get a job lol.

I read an essay published by one of my college age senior students in the school newsletter. It was about how scary the future was.

I think the ages of 15-19 are a huge pressure because once you reach adulthood there seems no going back to childhood. The only way to do that is to actually have children yourself ....or work in a school lol

Then you will have your hands full. Its a self perpetuating thing right?
