I am not KJV only, but I will disregard any that changes the meaning of a verse which most of the later day versions do.
A place is only holy if/when God is present there.
The inter part of the temple, that behind the veil, was only holy when God was present there.
God's presence had not been in any part of the temple for many years when Jesus came.
That temple was destroyed in 70AD because the Jews continued to reject the new covenant, that Jesus confirmed, that replaced the old covenant.
God will never honor the old covenant again, and the Jews are planning to once again return to the old covenant if they build a new temple.
God will not be there. There will be nothing holy about it.
I don't care how many later day bibles translations choose to change the meaning of Scripture by adding, taking away, or changing words.
Mat 24:15“Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place[k]let the [l]reader understand— 16then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17[m]Whoever is on the [n]housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. 18And [o]whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20Moreover, pray that [p]when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. 22And if those days had not been cut short, no [q]life would have been saved; but for the sake of the [r]elect those days will be cut short.

2Thess 2:1Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the [a]coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a [c]message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the [d]apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself above [e]every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

There has to be a temple for this to take place. This states he will declare himself to be God, a few years before it's desecrated.

Did not say Jesus is the anti-christ.
Your ability to not understand what I said is so evident.
But your ability to understand most Scripture is also lacking.
You have been mislead by false teachers, you cannot see the simple truth that is stated in Scripture.
Daniel 9:25 speaks of the "Messiah the Prince" will come after 483 weeks.
This is Jesus. A person would have to be stupid not to see this.
Daniel 9:26 speaks of "the people of the prince that is to come shall destroy the city".
This is the army of the roman emperor Vespasian, under the leadership of his son Titus that destroyed the city in 70AD. This is not the antichrist.
A person would have to be stupid not to understand this.
Please put me on ignore.
That way I do not have to see your ignorant responses to my post.
Jesus IS CUT OFF vv 26 @ 483 weeks (cruxified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended 40 days later)! From then to now, He is here:

Act 3:21
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets (***incl Dan 9***) since the world began.

The "he" of Dan 9:27 refers to "the prince that shall come" of Dan 9:26. This prince person does this: "he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, AND for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate" BOTH EVENTS one right after the other!

Mat 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the (the sacrifice and the oblation to cease AND) abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand

@RichMan said: "He, Jesus, caused the sacrifices and the oblation to cease" (per Dan 9:27!!!!)

Therefore in fact you DO SAY that Jesus is the antichrist, the price that SHALL come of Daniel 9. That is the only conclusion to which you can come.

Furthermore, the death of Jesus DID NOT cause the sacrifices to cease. Jewish priests slaughtered lambs THE VERY NEXT DAY! And all the next week. For decades. Moreover.....Jesus REINSTITUTES ritual sacrifices in the millennial temple.

Ah, an abomination that causes desolation which will result in horrors unseen since the creation of the world, and will never be equalled again. It will according to Jesus result in darkness. Rev ch8 describes a third of the sun and a third of the moon not shining on the earth, and therefore a third of the earth will be covered in darkness. Man now has the capability to make that happen. How? Through an abomination we might say that causes desolation
Interesting.

So the AOD is the event which Jesus said we are to look for as when we see it happen, we KNOW all hell will break lose..

Not the event which causes it all..

Patience during the running of a race?:):giggle::coffee:
Hebrews 12:1...let us run with all patience the race that is set before us...

Just teasing. I know patience there would be better translated perseverence.

The basic meaning of "temple" is dwelling, habitation of God.
God told David He did not dwell in buildings.
He never dwelt in the temple in Jerusalem. He came to the temple once a year.
But He had not done so for several generations when Jesus came.
It was called the temple of God, but it was never the dwelling place of God.
The man of sin places himself in the "temple of God" ,the place reserved for God, the dwelling place of God, when he demands to be worshiped as the only God.
I have said it before and I will say it one more time----
The Jews may build a building and call it the temple of God.
They may also once again offer their blasphemy of offerings.
God will not be there. God will condemn it. God will not recognize the building nor the offerings as holy.
If God is not there, and does not recognize it, It is not the temple of God.

Correct. Where Jesus REINSTITUTES ritual sacrifices.
@RichMan is promoting the preterist rubbish that Jesus "causes them to cease".
You continue to lie about what I have stated.
You are a liar.
God hates liars.

I see where Shittim agrees with cv5's lies about what I have said.
Not surprised.
The lack of reading comprehension is everywhere on this forum.

Some of you folks need to study Hebrews chapters 8,9,& 10, that explains that Jesus confirmed the new covenant. The covenant promised by God as recorded in Jeremiah 31:31-34.
It clearly states this new covenant was confirmed by the blood of Jesus on the cross.
It also states the new covenant replaced the old covenant with all its ordinances and offerings.
Those offerings ceased. They were no longer accepted. They were no longer valid.
They will never be accepted nor valid again. To continue to do so was and is blasphemy.
This is what I have stated.
Some of you folks need to learn to read with understanding before you attack and tell lies about what a person believes and states.

Comprehend this.....and how it relates to Dan 2, 7, 9, 12, Matt 24, Mark 13, Luke 21. And massive quantities of OT passages.

Mat 28:20
teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you,) and lo, I am with you all the days -- till the full end of the age.'

Act 3:21
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

2Ti 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Heb 1:2
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Jas 5:3
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

2Pe 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

Hos 5:15
I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
Hos 6:1
Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Hos 6:2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

we know all about that covenant

we are talking about future events which God foretold would occur.

that has nothing to do with the covenant of grace

Of course it is relevant. The new covenant conformed by Jesus on the cross is the covenant of grace.
Those who have embraced the new covenant will be gathered together and rule and reign with Jesus for 1000 years.
Those who reject the new covenant will suffer the second death, Hell.
This is future.
Are we not supposed to be preaching the new covenant?

Yep, the scoffers and believer of false doctrines are everywhere.
Those who do not understand ALL that Jesus accomplished on the cross.

No it is no relevant

Prophecy foretells events which God said will happen. so we can look for them

The covenant of Grace is a spiritual truth that has nothing to do with future events

The false doctrine that Jesus is the antichrist of Dan 9:27 as you suppose?

@RichMan said: "Correct, in the mist of the week, He, Jesus, caused the sacrifices and the oblation to cease..."

Put the whole quote out there for all to see.
Never said Jesus is the antichrist.
So much dishonest in what you say in your attacks.
If you quote some one give the entire quote.
