I wasn't aware Christ was thinking of me when he went to the cross till a
man at work walked up and told me. That was quite a eureka moment
because I knew Jesus died for the sins of the world but didn't think it was for
anybody in particular. In point of fact, I had been brought up to feel pity for
Christ as a victim of unfortunate circumstances beyond his control. Had that
man at work not taken the initiative to speak with me, I might've never
known the truth.

If you were the only one in the world that had ever sin Jesus still would have died for you. That man at work had a certain measure of spiritual insight. I enjoyed your post very much.

I knew Jesus died for the sins of the world but didn't think it was for anybody in particular.
I don't quite understand your comment here ----as the World itself doesn't have any sins -----

The Greek word for world
HELPS Word-studies
2889 kósmos (literally, "something ordered") – properly, an "ordered system" (like the universe, creation); the world.

We are the inhabitants of the world ------so we the inhabitants are the sinners ------- not the world -----

Just trying to understand what your saying here ------and how you would think that Jesus had to die for the world ---

And it was not His death that took our sins ---it was the Shedding of His Blood that took the sins for all people for all time ----His actual death was all about being Spiritually resurrected to defeat Eternal Spiritual Death bringing back Eternal Spiritual life which was taken away from us by Sin ------

So there was a 2 fold victory here ------

So I get that you got some insight from the man which was a good thing -----

My question to you is

What did you do with that insight ?---

Did it make you want to learn more about Jesus who died for you ?---

Did you start reading the Bible -?---

Did you tell others ?--

Did you become that needed preacher and go and straighten out the people who brought you up to feel pity for Christ as you state in your quote here below ----giving them Bible Truth

I had been brought up to feel pity for
Christ as a victim of unfortunate circumstances beyond his control

Perhaps I once thought this way also. So glad it was His choice to lay down His life for me. (y)

Interesting thought. The world does have a curse...

Romans 8:
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

The world does have a curse...
The curse came upon all of creation when Adam sinned. Death and decay are a result of that curse. Thorns and thistles are also a result of that curse. Natural disasters likewise, But that curse will eventually be removed when God creates New Heavens and a New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The thing is that God has already given Christians an outline of His plans for (1) the Church, (2) redeemed and restored Israel, and (c) all of creation. The unsaved have no clue about what this plan is since they do not believe God.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Interesting thought. The world does have a curse...
You are right there ---and this world is still under the Curse ----Satan is still the god of this world ---the curse came in because of the sin of Adam and Eve who were the first humans to inhabit the earth and Disobeyed God's command ------People sin not the world ------The World didn't sin -----

Jesus death did not take away the curse of this world nor the Curse that can still come upon all people because of their disobedience of God's commands or will ------the world is still cursed ---

Jesus Blood took away the sins of the people only who believe in and trust in Him and who have accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour ------so while Jesus shed His blood to take all sin for all people ----not all people have received Jesus to have their sins forgiven --

Born Again people can still open themselves up to bring a curse in their lives even though they are under the Blessing ------

We can't stop the BIRDS from Flying over our heads ----but we can stop them from NESTING in our Hair ---that is up to us to do ----

Satan still has access to all peoples minds who are in this world ----

Some years ago I heard of an exchange between a preacher and a young
inquirer that went something like this:

YOUTH: What would I have to do that's so bad I'd go to Hell?

PREACHER: You don't have to do anything at all; just bide your time and
you'll get there.

YOUTH: How so?

PREACHER: Hell is the default, whereas Heaven is an option. In other words;
all that's required to end up in Hell is indifference.

Matt 13:15 . . For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull
of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see
with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their
heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

The worst possible place someone should choose to seek a preacher is in
Hell because "too late" is not the best time to discover how narrowly one has
missed the train.

because man was given dominion on earth as man became wicked we filled the world with wickedness

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:27-28, 31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's:

But the earth hath he given to the children of men.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭115:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So you have the issue where man corrupts the world which was created very good and then the earth was given to man to rule as stewards

“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:5-6, 11-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭24:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As mankind goes so becomes the earth as man became wicked we shaped rhe good earth as a place for wickedness we strip it of all It’s resources and minerals pollute everything abouse one another create wars and weapons able to destroy entire cities we lie cheat and steal

We made paradise into a hell scape where every wickedness under the sun is done daily without repentance

Even the earth itself is corrupt and cursed to damnation of judgement only because of man being given dominion

Amen! What an encouraging testimony. My Aunt was saved by a street preacher who passed her a gospel tract. She didn't read it until later, they never met again and the preacher didn't know she had been saved. Probably a lot of believers won't know the full good they have done for others until it is revealed in heaven. God Bless You :)

Praise God He died for each one of us. I fully disagree with "hell is the default" it is not. One has to know that you know that you know Yeshua/Jesus Christ is the messiah and know He came in the flesh died for you and you fully understand and then reject it. If we believed this we would be infront of out side of every Muslim Mosque, every kind of "Church" that does not preach Jesus came in the flesh. Take Mormons.. all going to heaven? Do we care? Sorry to be so blunt but if we thought they believe in a different Christ would we not be as they do go house to house sharing? Everyone knows about Mormons on bikes coming to your house not some Pentecostal or Baptist or Catholic preacher. Most street preachers I have ever seen well its mostly turn or burn something Christ never says yet its as Paul said.. at least the gospel is being preached.

I think your bind here :D "Webers.Home". you said "had that man". It was Christ that did all this. That man will step out of the way and you will only see Jesus. He came and found you. So give all the praise and thanks to Christ never man.

Acts 8:30-31 . . Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the
prophet Isaiah; so he asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
The man replied, "How can I, when there is no one to instruct me?"

The man with whom Philip dialogued wasn't some obscure cobalt miner in
the Democratic Republic of Congo or an illiterate cow poke herding cows in
Montana. The man was high up in the government of Ethiopia; so it's likely
he had an above-average IQ, and yet without someone to help him, he was
stumped by Isa 53:7-8.

The inferences here is a little bit off.

Living in Spain fro several decades, I have witnessed in the news and personally how tens of thousands of Africans have migrated against all odds to Spain. They are diligent workers from all countries, and many have become famous in sports and other fields. All seem to learn languages quite readily, and are much more gifted than I.
Yes, Ethiopians have a rich history, but just about any black man from the "darkest of Africa" seems to be quite well equipped to adapt. I am fond of them all, actually I love them all and pray for them as I do for all who believe Jesus Yeshua.

One athlete of note is the now Frenchman born of a Gogolian parent, Mbape.

Acts 19:1-2 . . While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through
the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and
asked them: Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? They
answered: No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.

Those folks were disciples, but not Jesus' disciples 'cause had they been,
they would've been endowed with his spirit. That was a lucky encounter for
those people, and Paul of course straightaway took some time to get them
connected with Christ.

Gen 6:3 . . My spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal

The Hebrew word translated "contend" basically refers to law and order. In
other words: God's spirit was preaching to folk on up to the time of the
Flood.

FAQ: Did the people hear an audible voice?

REPLY: Yes, but it wasn't the Spirit's voice, rather, it was Noah's (2Pet 2:5)

The reason given for not contending with people forever is that people don't
live forever. In other words: the time for folks to listen to preaching is now;
before a Flood, viz: before something takes them away of a sudden.

At the conclusion of the church's extraction per 1Thess 4:13-18, not one
God-given preacher will remain anywhere on Earth, so that those preachers
who do remain, will all be cheap goods: yet there will no doubt be numerous
frightened congregations all 'round the world looking to those very same
incompetent quacks for answers just the same as they did before the
extraction.
