No, they didn't promote this, they did not ask people to come. It's a small town and all these people coming did not make things easier for people in the town. And it's happening in more and more locations.
they have pastors coming well known ones apparently and they are not treated any different from anyone else these pastors just come and take it in the fox news wanted to come and do a reprt on this event and they eouldn't let them come people are asked to turn their phones off when they try to record this event they aren't even trying to get this thing going it is happening because it is a act of God not man so they are not concerned about getting this out they know how fire works

They did both, I was watching live stream. My family went there and many friends.
If so, praise the Lord! All I've seen coming from it is a bunch of singing and dancing, the word of God is not central. Time will tell if it's an ongoing change of people's hearts or a short time microwave feeling. Anyway, I would agree, there is no world wide revival spoken of in scripture in the last days. Maybe the Lord is gleaning the last of the Gentiles before he comes.

The holy spirit works and operates like fire and often times even comes in tge form of fire a spark is created a flame starts this is Gods doing he creates that sparks and a flame arises if the holy spirit is burning you dpnt douse it you fan it so it spreads.

If God is clearly using his holy spirit creating a fire that is spreading even as we speak and you just keep deny it's power and source your just trying to douse the flame and honestly as harsh as this may seem but when he is clearly at a mighty work here you continuously deny it and rejecting his work is a slap in the face to the holy spirit himself your not just quenching the spirit your calling him a dake

But in the end I just feel bad for you there are things xoming and things he is going to do that your going to miss out on you stay at a distabce when it comes to the spirit of God or anything spiritual of him and your first instinct is doubt skepticism you are fine with talking about the word of God but when it comes alove before your eyes you turn away you literally are just a scholar of the word and yet how blind you are to the word you have your knowledge of it but don't forget he is both spirit and truth you cannot have one without the other.
So, if I understand you, I'm quenching the Spirit by not accepting your skewed idea of what the work of the Spirit should look like.

My view? You think my view and understanding of it matters? No it isn't about my view it is about how he is. I know how he works because I live and operate with him not because I read the bible and formed my own understanding. you can read the word but there has to come a point when you experience the word if you knew the word at all you would see what is going on here this revival is just the spark God is going to turn everything on it's head and

Small pockets of people coming back to the Lord is great, but some world-wide revival is not biblical. Actually, the opposite is true of the last days. Read 2 Timothy 3-4 and tell me if that sounds like a revival in the last days.

See the issue is that your sources and your evidence is from man not God. maybe you don't understand how revival works true revival cannot be planned or manipulated it is an act of God not man all your evidence is based on trying to disprove this faith doesn't work like that you have it in your mind already what this is but the fruit that is being produced by this revival is to obvious to deny it's source

Tell me with all these people being healed with all these people coming to God in a radical way if it isn't from God then it is from the devil man cannot produce what is happening so your either for him or against there is no in between

Not biblical? have you not read about the early church? it started the same way God moving powerfully with a small group and then the gospel of Jesus Christ was spread everywhere the holy spirit was spreading to people like a virus how do you think amazing things like that happen? They start nout smalland then grow in intensity.

We are in the last days not just the end times we are entering into the last days knowing this I am amzed people are even questioning this thing. But as I said this is only the spark watch and see what he is going to do it is going to be awesome

No it isn't your right how can you expect me to take in what your saying when you won't do that for me? Debates are not one sided and if either opposing people refuse to make room for the fact they might be wrong it's just stupid arguing.

I've read and studied all the last days passages and they are all concerning rebellion and darkness, no revival mentioned. Is it possible? Yes, for with God all things are possible.

2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Here's the charge to the believer in the last days:

chapter 4...
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

I don't care if you take in what I'm saying or not; I'm not trying to convince you. But you're right about one thing, you have nothing I'm interested in.

Having once attended a 'revival' lasting almost 2 months I could say quite a bit about it...good and bad

At any rate, it is interesting to note that this particular occurrence is being put to rest

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Life will return to normal on the campus of Asbury University and in the town of Wilmore once this week is through.
That’s the hope of officials at Asbury, who faced challenges they never expected after a worship service just wouldn't end. It’s now nearing day 13.
University officials originally announced on Saturday that the revival would end on this upcoming Wednesday night, with limited periods where the public could attend on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
On Sunday those plans shifted after parking and seating “exceeded capacity.” Now, Monday is the last day when members of the public can attend.
Beginning Tuesday the public service will shift to another location while high school and college-aged students will be able to attend in-person at Asbury through Thursday evening.
One reason the revival is ending is because of the impact it has had on students academically.

Oh don't feel bad. I agree with a lot of what you said. I think it is right to be a bit skeptical when things are supposedly happening by the movement of God - especially since these are the end times and a lot of false stuff is flying all over the place.

But this event has a lot of people involved. I think there are at least SOME people who will be positively impacted by this gathering and will continue to deepen their walk with the Lord long after this event fades into history. And of course there will people who won't get much out of except some excitement for a few days.

Yes these times are coming and we are entering the tipping point of it all coming down hard but the early church was a foreshadow of what is coming if you look at everything they did and went through it lines up with the end times yes they had a powerful move of God but they were persicuted killed commanded to denounce the name of Jesus I mean considering the harvest that is mentioned in revelation and the fact that God often foreshadows his plans several times before the real thing happens we can't look at this like any normal revival.

It may not even be a world wide one but it is a clear act of God and that makes it biblical

If the revival can be ended by people the Spirit must not have been leading it.

One narrative I've heard from eye witnesses is that the people caught up in the revival are proclaiming "All we need is the Holy Spirit!" This is coming from the young people in particular.

This narrative appeals to a generation of orphans who want to do things on their own without direction and accountability. It's a spin on the old narrative of "just me and Jesus" that came out of Pentecostal circles. Simply put: the Spirit has never placed members in the Body to remain independent.

I am all for using discernment and sticking with the word of God but we also cannot simply deny something because of our theological mindsets.
People keep making the mistake that this ia bout excitement or emotional hype but if that was all it was then yeah I would be in the same boat as @ResidentAlien I don't want a spiritual high or an emotional hype just to fade away after a little bit I want the real thing I want truth

This event began with worship that was what started it it wasn't anything special just some people singing praise we also are only spectaters at this point if we were actually there and experienced it for ourselves it would be different. But this event is not supposed to be the focus it is about the glory and honor of God himself that is the only reason I think this is legit.

Consider this. If this revival is truly a great act of God what is the message he is sending? He never does anything without a reason and it is always pointed towards a specific people or thing that is going to happen
Also this is just something that I heard this morning when I woke up someone said to me they are watching this thing to they as in the forces of darkness if even they are watching this it has to be a interesting thing that is happening
