I was reading this book called 'Lady Dianas Look Book' about Princess Diana and it had some pictures of her wearing jeans. Royal protocol was that they couldnt be ripped, they had to be blue, and ironed with creases down the middle.

She wore them high waisted with a belt and she had brand name sneakers, I even saw her wearing pink converses with them, and american sweatshirts with USA on them. What a rebel! lol

We call them bootleg jeans which are jeans with a bit of a flare at the bottom.

question
why are these called bootleg jeans when the lady is clearly not wearing any boots with these jeans. They should be called 'high heel' jeans.

That's why we fell in love with Diana--she was a good kind of rebel challenging the coldness, stuffiness, and restrictions in the palace. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her designer jeans!

I remember when I started in the office after college in my industry career, the only day we could wear jeans to work was Friday. The rest of the week, it was suits and sport coats. Now, every day can be jean day in the office.

Buckingham Palace is huge and so is Windsor Castle. It takes a lot of electricity or fuel to heat a huge palace especially with the large rooms they had. Diana complained but they just told her to put on an extra jumper. But if they opened a window, they would need ten servants to do it and it would create a draft.

Can you imagine the royals ruling from a tiny council flat cos they had to downsize? lol

apparently Jeans undies are banned at my school on mufti days. Girls would wear them

Unfortunately the shops only really sell jeans undies for girls. Sorry boys. You have to wear yours long.

I wasn't a jeans fan until I purchased the perfect jean. Not a fan of the cussing, however it is the most comfortable I've ever had. It gives me lots of flexibility!

I'm not a fan of jeans either. I mostly wear casual jogger pants.

There is a hole in one of my jeans shorts, although it isnt really jeans material its blue faded denim looking. I am wondering whether to keep them or fix them.

My first reaction was to chuck them away as the hole is right under the pocket and if it gets any bigger you could see my underwear. But mum said keep them thats the fashion.

I usually do the opposite of anything my mum says, fashion wise. lol

I have distressed jeans with tears on the back of the thigh and front thigh. Not all my jeans are like that but I do like them.

Love em?
Hate em?
Don't care?

Please I want to know.

I'm guess Im in the don't care category. I dont care for jeans. I dont know why they are so popular. I dont know why everyone wears them, for me they are just so uncomfortable and expensive. There are much more comfortable and stylish clothes you could wear, in other colours.

When I was younger I was pressured into wearing them cos they were the 'cool' and trendy item to wear, but I never liked them.

My reasons...well I will expand on them further, but just want to bullet point why they are not in my wardrobe anymore

-pockets? too many, and on your butt, but you cant fit anything in them and its like you are feeling your butt when you slip your hand in there...or someone elses hands?!
-waistband...either too tight or need a belt to hold them up, and EXTRA item to buy
- creates muffin top when low waisted
-when high waisted is hard on your stomach
-cuts off circulation when too tight
-fades
-gets torn and holey so look like you wearing rags
- take ages to dry
-heavy when wet
-dont keep legs warm when its winter
-held on with rivets?!
-everyone wears them, boring
- mostly come in blue or black, black for gang members, blue for everyone else who cant be bothered
- then have to find matching top
-skinny ones nightmare to put on and pull off
-baggy ones fall down, your knickers exposed or worse, g-string

just bad bad bad fashion...
sorry...if you love jeans! you can state your case for them I dont mind, want to hear all points of view
Very important pointers about jeans, Lanolin. (y)
Main things to consider for Oyster Jeans:
- They should be blue, like the sea.
- They should not have rivets, which might rust in the seawater.
- Adequate roominess must be allowed for shrinkage.
- Multiple pockets are handy for collecting many things.
- Hammer loops are not recommended for areas where quick getaways might be necessary.
- Always, always, always test zipper before buying.

If you could post a picture of, it would be appreciated. Not all of us are familiar with your strange NZ culture. Are Wally and Wenda a pair of catoonistic sheep?
