Yes I think most of us have. I was talking about knowing there's even more of God's love to give and desiring that.
I'm sorry, Abigail, but I am not sure what you mean by this. Are you saying God did not share the fullness of His love with you, that something was held back when you experienced it? Or that you hold back in loving others, or in/while sharing the love of God with others? Your first post sounded more like the former while this post seems more like the latter, but I cannot be sure. It just seems like some correction was attempted to be made with no real sense of clarification coming from it.

Jesus says only He can satisfy and I want a first hand experience of that. That is what I was responding to :) I think it would be lovely if more people really did experience the love of God. When your faith is firmly grounded in God's love, how can it really falter? It was a real sticking point with nonbelievers when I was conversing with them, and something they could not take away from those they opposed, though they certainly tried.

Jesus encouraged us to ask God for what we want, assuring us of the goodness of our heavenly Father, and Paul exhorted us to approach God's throne of grace with confidence or boldness. It is a worthy endeavor :D

Liberalism as it is in the USA, yes!

Liberation from Biblical principles and morality is not a good thing.
Liberalism and liberation are diametric opposites.
In the USA, liberalism is about liberation from Christianity and Biblical principles, unless one is talking about poverty or regulating the planet. Then they'll turn to Scripture.

Otherwise, they say we need to separate church and state. If they could physically separate(ie -remove) churches from of the state, they'd by giddy.

Hmmmm........I find this thread wierd..... Simply because I'm in "prayer'' mode 24/7.......God Is not a genie......Or a santa claws myth.

Ask and ye shall receive
-Jesus-
You're right, He's not a genie.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. -John 15:7

I ask everyday for more of his love and to know him more to have a deeper and closer bond with him but if I could have anything and the answer would be an instant yes there is only one thing I would ask for and it's something he told me himself I could have though he never said when it would be- I only ask for a single day with him in heaven a full 24 hours.

I have imagined it so many times and I always feel so warm inside thinking of it, I mean can you imagine how much a single day with him would change us? how much a single day would make us know him and be so much more closer to him? I mean to eat and drink with him to sit at his feet and listen to his words to see and experience a heavenly realm that nowhere on earth could ever even begin to compare the beauty and the majesty of his love and his light enveloped all around you no matter where you are in his kingdom like a giant ever lasting hug, to meet and speak with the angels and the people in heaven who have been watching and cheering and praying for you through out your life even people who aren't family even people who died over 2000 years ago to have the honor to go before the very throne of God himself to run to father with such joy and happiness of a small innocent child.

To instinctively jump into fathers laps with tears of the deepest love and to hug him hold him and have him also hug and hold you while he also sheds a tear of deep affection walk with him ask him things and have him ask you things as well to meet the holy spirit face to face to see the living water that is so highly spoken of and to jump and play in it with Jesus to look at the amazing and beautiful creatures that exist there that we could never dream of and to end the day falling asleep in his arms.

There is so much I want to do with him in that single day and in that 24 hours there it might have only been five minutes here, he told me that he and I could have this day together and I believe him I just wish I knew when

Sorry I wasn't clear on that Magenta. xD Let me put it this way, the love that Jesus has shown me is already overwhelming my heart. But that's only with what I, currently, know about Jesus. I mean, I'm still young and still have so many truths of God to learn for myself. And if with only a few years of my walking with the Lord, I'm already overjoyed, just how much more of His love is there waiting for me to experience. "The path of the righteous grows brighter and brighter each day..." the days I'm seeing are already bright, just how much brighter is it gonna be tomorrow? And the next day? And on and on. See what I mean?

I will tell you from experience that his love goes far deeper than you can begin to imagine not just in strength and the amount of it but the richness of it as well. I have only encountered his love at such a level once but it was more than I could handle, he only filled me with a drop of his love at that time and the depth of it the strength of it the richness of it was more than my body could handle it overflowed out of my body endlessly and I begged him to take my life so I could always know this love so I could always be in his arms.

The love that have with him doesn't even begin to compare to the drop of love he showed me in that moment he wanted to show me exact;y how deep and how vast his love really is and I was only shown a small drop of it and my body could not handle it so imgine how much more and how much deeper his love really is, if our human body cannot contain a single drop of his love I can only imagine how much more it is

Liberalism in America is tyranny. And if stupid, asinine, jack-wagon liberals want to "liberate" themselves from our only source of God's grace that is in Jesus Christ alone, then let 'em.

Sorry Abigail for hijacking your thread. Back to your OP. :)

liberals want to "liberate" themselves from our only source of God's grace that is in Jesus Christ alone Not just themselves...everyone.

Liberals are "offended" by Christianity. Never mind that Christians find it offensive that Christmas has to be referred to as "Holiday" or that a Christmas tree is now a "holiday tree", etc.

Knowing that He is the King of the universe, righteous and just, generous and good. If you know that He'd hear your request now, what would you ask from Him, both as a King and as a Father?

I would really love to be raptured already, together with all the people I love. So that's one thing. But I know that I have to be patient for that.

So, my first request would be a trip to Israel with my family! Yay. Okay, your turn.
I would ask to have never been conceived. I'm the result of an alcohol-fueled quickie between two people who were thinking with their hormones, and I wish I had never been brought into existence. So if God could just strike all record of my life from creation, that would be swell.

* Salvation of family, friends.

* For America to turn back to its foundation, spiritually and politically.

* For a purpose / job change / something along those lines. Or, just for peace with the job I currently have.

* A beautiful woman to come home to every day.

And, much, much more!

Hmm... This thread was made back in 2016, before I started hanging around misc.

I remember a story in the Bible about God asking one man basically to make a wish. The man could have asked for a lot of money, or for his enemies to all be killed, or for a long life, but he was really worried about the job he was supposed to do. So he asked for wisdom to do the job well.

As for me, I have always found much wisdom in Proverbs 30:8-9. Lord please don't let me have too little or too much. If I have too little I won't be able to do what needs to be done, and if I have too much I might get too big for my britches. Please always let me have enough for what I need.

When I get old and can't do as much anymore, I pray I will still be able to do what needs to be done. Just please make sure someone younger and more able is there to pick up the slack, so I won't let someone down.
