thanks, i originally misread this -

Leviticus 12:3-4
And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. She shall then continue in the blood of [her] purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.

It makes sense the 33 days starts on the 8th day, so a total of 40 days from birth to Luke 2

my bad

And cool, the Catholic Church and the scripture corroborate the wiki entry so maybe i wasn't stupid for citing it after all haha
please note, all, that being a mathematician doesn't mean one is great at arithmetic.
at a certain point in maths education we stop using numbers altogether and focus on abstract concepts.

part of being a mathematician however is seeking truth ((a beautiful pursuit)) and a fundamental aspect of that is accepting graciously when you are proven wrong.

i often do simple calculations incorrectly. OK my 'often' may be different than yours. 'often' is a relative term.
but this doesn't make me a bad mathematician; it makes me a bad calculator.

We are not called as Christians to be calculators but to be wise - and the wise man is the first to admit he knows nothing. the wise never say they know all things; they say they need to learn all things.

i hope this is meaningful..
much love

  • probability is low
  • ya gonna have to submit to testing
  • ya gonna have to submit to test results
  • ya better be right or ya gonna deserve damnation for false prophecy
  • be careful, yo

You are post, resident mathematician? Thats really cool, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Roger Penrose's career. By the way, I can repeat his grammatical proof.

Kurt GΓΆdel's work is more important to Christianity, imo.

the Copenhagen interpretation is more correct than Penrose's theory. the universe is not deterministic, and its existence is contingent on & also derived from The Universal Observer. in this respect, Fermi is right: consciousness is a fundamental.

The lord as spoken a future event that may well come true.

The lord said I will go befor you, but your resolve will be tested.

The lord said many will disagree and many wolf's will come but my grace will be sufficient to you,

You will hold your tongue as Jesus did when the Pharisees demanded Jesus to perform.
You will not have a single word offend you.

The lord said I want you go to forth where I will test your fruit of patience. And I will unveil many spiritual truths the eyes do not see.
Perhaps this has already passed.
I need to explain the wolfs, the lord has said the wolfs is the spirit of doubt which we all suffer from time to time. 😊

What makes that "prophecy"?
I don't know how you can trump two aces brother.

I'll show you something
Isaiah 10
Woe
to those who make unjust laws,
to those who issue oppressive decrees,
2 to deprive the poor of their rights
and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,
making widows their prey
and robbing the fatherless.

Jesus said this to the religious leaders of His day in Matthew

23:13, β€œWoe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go.

A prophecy is when the spirit is talking through someone's lips.

The spirit of Jesus was talking through Isaiah lips.

@Fundaamental: With all due respect, and I'm not trying to be rude at all, but how do you know for certain, that you are a Prophet?
The essence of prohecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.

Revelation 19:10

10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, β€œDon’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

How about Pharaoh letting the Hebrews leave Egypt?

Not because Pharaoh feared God, but so that Moses and Aaron will quit bugging him and God would quit plaguing him

this seems to me to fit the pattern in the parable pretty well.

so @Fundaamental what do you think this means?
The pharaoh of Egypt did not speak like Jesus did.
The unjust Judge clearly spoke how Jesus did, your refering to the previous verse when the unjust Judge was a type of Pharaoh.

By the way I'm still holding on to more aces.

Morning-Have you read a book by John Lennox he wrote about a dozen years ago, β€œThe Seven Days that Divide the World?’ He seems to have a good feel for relating everything to God.

Claiming that you are holding more aces would be contingent on holding any, which you aren't.

This is how the pharoah gave up.
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron at night. He said, β€œGet up and go away from my people,
It's easy to trump an ace when you lead with a suit he does not have.
I believe I'm handing my aces over.

This is how the unjust Judge gave up

Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
