We need to distinguish the purpose of God for the Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament Prophet and those who prophecy.

God raised up Prophets to Israel to speak God`s word concerning their sin and what Judgments God would bring. The Prophets would also bring messages of comfort telling Israel of God`s future plans for them. Prophets of Israel also spoke judgments of God upon the nations.

Then when Jesus ascended to the Father He was made Head of the Body. He then sent His Holy Spirit to build up and mature the Body. The Lord then gave of Himself in 5 different ministries - Apostle Prophet, Shepherd, teacher and evangelist. These were to equip the believers for the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4: 11 - 13)

So, obviously there is a difference between the OT and NT Prophets and their function. To try and compare OT Prophets with today`s Prophets is not valid.

Note - the office of a Prophet functions to a greater sphere than that when someone just prophecies.

A prophet is one who reads and understands scripture and is able to speak the truth and Gospel to others.

There are probably more like a total of 20 spiritual gifts listed in the NT. Most of them are not spectacular.

Im searching through all the right avenues to see if im an intercessor or a prophet. nothing more nothing less.
I know that when i speak to people face to face i start to proclaim.

I've noticed ☺️

But you know this is what happend with the 450 prophet's of Jezabel they where told to follow the lord and baal.

So they ended up prophesying for baal after being held captive by Jezabel, there was born the Jezabel spirit. probably the reason some profits where stripped of there Gift.

How ever Sherlock this is not elementary.

Yeah, gotta watch out for that Jezebel spirit; I've been saying that for years. And the sneaky squid spirit, that's another really bad one.

No need for condemnation or cancelling (which is ironic as the OP has apparently put me on Ignore). I don't think we're using different definitions, but we may be making points that rely on semantic differences. I disagree that all Scripture is prophecy. Most of the writers of Scripture are considered "prophets", though I would not use that term for Mark, Luke, or the recorder(s) of Kings and Chronicles. The prophecy that is recorded in Scripture was, is, and always will be valid prophecy. However, reading it aloud as part of a sermon is not "prophesying".

Speaking of "elementary", learn how to spell the woman's name properly; you come across as careless and foolish when you misspell it.

You should read the text more carefully instead of scanning it and making things up out of thin air. The people who prophesied for Baal were never prophets of YHVH, and there is nothing in the passage about a "spirit of Jezebel".

From reading the old testament there was a war waged by the spirit of Jezebel to kill all the prophets, and many where killed.
So many where killed that Church leaders started to hide the prophets in caves.
Obadiah hid 100 prophets in caves at one time.

This is just one account but i would imagine the number of prophets for the lord are not accounted for are even higher, as Jezebel was estimated at one time to have many of her own prophets.
I guess we could say the same about Jezabel prophets being even higher.

What do you need to do if you suspect you have the gift of prophecy
How do you get rid of a Jezabel spirit if ther following you around trying to kill your gift of prophecy.
I also read that if your ancestors had the gift of prophecy you could be under a generation curse from Jezabel.

I also read that the war between the two sets of prophets has never gone away and the church needs more people to be fully trained if they suspect they have the gift of prophecy.
How do you know what gift you get given of the holy spirit.
Given the over whelming evidence that the Jezabel spirit is in full operation today, would it be the case the lord has gifted many Christians with the gift of prophecy.

What you are teaching, has nothing to do with that what the bible tells for the believer who follows Christ.
This teaching will bring you away from the word of God.
For to understand the will of God we need the Holy Spirit. He open our understanding for the Fathers word in which he has everything revealed what we need to know.

You are not teaching what the bible teaches. So how you can be a prophet of God, if you are telling against his word?
The bible calls those people false prophets.
