Expound can be complicated or in its simplest form just means 'to state' as prophets sometimes do in a meeting (do you even believe in prophets?)

Anyone can expound on something. Understanding I am saying pastors are being prophets is jumping to a conclusion and it is wrong.

I have not said that; I do not believe that and it is unrealistic to assume I did. Many of the arguments in this forum are generated by people who misunderstand or add or twist.

There is a reason that the prophets are to speak 2 or 3. ( see the Bible) We are also told that the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. Since I already indicated that to be the proper procedure for prophecy in a church AND also that if tongues are interpreted they are equal to prophecy, how would the pastor be doing that from the platform all by himself?

In what way, shape or form can that possibly be understood to be me saying pastors are therefore prophets?

I can't rap my head around that kind of conclusion but y'all are certainly free to think that LOL!

Could you show me the exact verses that support what you're saying here? Specifically, show me the verses that support each of the three sentences I quoted.

Not sure what you're going on about here. I simply showed where you said the very thing you claimed you had not.

There are no real prophets today. Prophecy was sealed up when John wrote the Book of Revelation.
What are your thoughts on my prophetic dream from a year ago?

I emailed this to Steve, pastor at The Rock Church, on May 15, 2022:

"Had a dream about Israel last night.
The whole land was up in arms and going crazy. The police were having some kind of stand-off with other police. It appeared like it was a union strike. Some of them were holding the line and some were discussing their grievances. It seemed like a civil war, but it was literally civil. They were mad at one another, but not attacking one another. The whole land was conflicted from end to end."

This was what, 8-9 months before Israel started their strikes against the judicial reform? They're practically on the verge of a civil war right now. It looks over there exactly what I saw in my dream.

I don't think you even believe in certain of the gifts for today so I don't know why you thought you cleared something up. You didn't and the response I gave to you 100% indicates I never said pastors are prophets because they expound on the word. That is something Dino claimed and even when he did, he indicated it was not what I actually said, but his understanding.

If you don't know 'what I'm going on about', you are in no place to try and point out errors since you say you do not understand what I wrote.

This is a public forum and people often engage with others on a post that is not addressed to them and that is fine. You try to say I contradicted myself and I explained again why Dino is wrong in what he thinks about my post and you come back with the above? It leaves me wondering about motive but we won't get into it.

Have a nice day and please leave your thoughts about prophets because that is what the thread is about.

Not holding my breath.

Could you please respond to post #542 above?

You talk a lot, but I don't think you know what you're talking about. You sow discord and contention among the brethren by taking the Word of God out of context and adding to it things it doesn't say. You need to humble yourself and repent of that.

No need to get offended by me calling you out. It's not the end of the world (yet). Just repent. Get back in the scripture and quit picking fights with everyone - especially when you're wrong. We all make mistakes and I still love ya and God still loves ya.

It was a dream. The Bible tells us that prophecy has been sealed up, and I believe what God says, and the Bible is NEVER wrong.
You know why there are over 45,000 Christian denominations in the world? Because some people are absolutely certain their understanding of the Bible is correct and that everyone else is wrong. Be careful to say you're 100% certain about a subject in the Bible, because God may reprove you in the future and then you'll have to admit you were wrong. He's done that to me many times.

Please quote the passage you think says that "prophecy has been sealed up".

Okay, let's say that your dream was about Israel's strikes against the judicial reform.
What do you think we should do with that? It'd seem that a Bonafide prophecy would turn out to be practical in one way or another.

I believe it is meant to confirm me.

I'd say the Israelis have been affected by it. If they had all known the prophecy at the time I had the dream, would it have changed anything?

I've prophesied to you and everyone reading this thread what is going to happen to America. Will anyone listen? Will it matter? [Hence, "what is the point in being a prophet?"]

In the end, God will be glorified that He declared these things in advance. I truly believed for a long time that if Americans had repented, we could have pushed this judgment off to another generation. But alas, the time has come. God's appointed Destroyer is here. Do not fear though, this life is just a vapor. Our eternal place with the Lord Almighty awaits. Though the country may fall and though you may die, those who are obedient to the Lord shall be saved forever.

Probably a reference to this: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. (Dan 12:4). The only problem is that Daniel was told to seal the book "even to the time of the end". But the book was unsealed in Revelation, because it speaks of the time of the end, and deals with that time period. Scriptures must be taken in their context.

Well, plenty of people believe America will be destroyed anyway, and at least one here appears to look forward to it with glee, so your efforts weren't totally wasted, although I'm not one of them.

It does not require any current "prophecy" to see where America is headed. Paul already told us long ago what was coming! Paui already saw this by the Holy Spirit!

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Tim 3:1-5)

Is all this true for America? Absolutely. Take the issue regarding "traitors". The entire government of the USA consists of traitors who are now untouchable. So there is no question that divine judgment will be serious for this nation. The reason being that the light of the Gospel, along with liberty and justice for all, was present here at one time, and was subverted and sabotaged from within. The fact that there is little or no resistance to criminality and evil at the very top shows what is coming in the future.

---America is not mentioned in the Bible or Bible prophecy. The whole world is getting very close to going into the Time of Jacob's Trouble.

Well, I've been prophesying it for a long time now. Telling what would happen in advance. I mean, this thread is dated from 2016 ya know. People thought I was crazy then and didn't believe me. My sermons are from 2018. My book is from 2011. Now that it is becoming evident, you say, "It does not require prophecy to see where America is headed." I didn't just start prophesying this yesterday.

I also regard what's coming in terms of a worldwide judgment, that is not limited to or directed at just one nation.

It is possible that the prophecy of the woman being carried into the wilderness on eagle's wings, and the flood that the dragon spews after her in the attempt to swallow up the child (which flood could reasonably be assumed so to be spewed into the wilderness...) may be speaking of the US, imo. Surely, it is possible that any nation currently in existence has relevance to prophecy.
