Mat 21:44, And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

There will always be hypocrites in the church.
Nope. When Christ returns, there will be none (Ephesians 5:26-27).

Eph 5:26, That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

I'm just gonna say this and move on...
Many, MANY of you here need to learn how to discern a sincere "seeker" versus a troll, who is here only to stir the pot and create confusion and disagreement.
There are several red flags with posters that will show the true nature of their postings.
We could have a discussion about those flags, but we probably need to start a thread about them.

This one was a troll.
Yep, I have said that many times myself. But if the person is a troll they still have a soul. Who knows what might spark in a heart?

Obviously, but we aren't there yet. The point remains that people need to understand that Jesus never fails. When they see so called Christians doing what they shouldn't, they can remain strong knowing it is Christ they are following, and not a mere human being.

Yeah i'm going to have to stop you right there. He said it wasn't a sin to him because he was born that way if you were born with homosexual attraction which you have no choice in as that is an actual genetic trait but you don't act on it is it having those desires that makes it or a sin or acting on it?
It is a part of the sin nature; just as a propensity for alcohol is a part of the sin nature of the alcoholic.

The alcoholic doesn't commit a sin unless he acts on what is in his sin nature.

But what is in him is sin (see Romans 7:18).

Jesus says we shall know then by their fruits. Not just the fruit they produce in themselves, but also the fruit they leave behind for others to produce.
Smart one, he/she was.

If that is the case, then somewhere along the line he acknowledged that he was a sinner.
The point of the story is this, everyone telling him he was a sinner didn't change his mind. Prayer brought him to the place where he realized he was a sinner and needed a Savior.

To lead them to the truth, it would be a mistake to water it down so that they will receive it. A watered down truth will not save anyone. In giving the people the truth, we need to give them the unadulterated truth; even though it may hurt.
And you see that is exactly why you won't reach them. You call it watering it down but actions speak louder than words example testifies more than a post about their sins. You think posting ascripture or pointing out their sin is how your going to reach them?

You can't approach everyone the same way and expect thingss to work out if your a people person you know that there is a manner of conduct that speaks to people and not every person is going to be recieve in the same way you have to go about it the right way.

So, do you think that everyone is headed toward that point of being wholly sanctified and will all reach that point at the very same moment? Or, will some reach it ahead of others, and remain alive when they do?

Of course the Holy Spirit is the One who convicts.

But who is to say that all the times he was told about his sin didn't culminate in his conversion when it happened?

Nevertheless, most sinners don't have a relationship with Christ. You and I are the only Jesus they may ever see.

It is good, once we are saved, to keep our focus on Christ.

But those who aren't saved don't have that luxury...they don't believe in Christ. Therefore, we need to set forth a Christ-like example so that they might see Christ in us.

You know my father was saved because of a friend that was a Christian. My father was having issues with depression, he came from a hard background. He had a lot of issues with his nerves and deep depression. A friend of his invited him to church. He said " The preacher preached like there was no one else in the room. He acted like he knew my life. Yet when it came time to go to the altar I stood up and started to leave. My friend stood up and said "you're going the wrong way" and I turned and almost ran to the altar." We need to bring them and let the Holy Spirit convict and God clean them. We act like it's our job to save people, it isn't, that's why it's not working.

Of course we also need to set a good example by our conduct.

But of course, where the Bible speaks of sin, if we proclaim what the Bible says about it, in that, the word will not return void and will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it.

Of course God does the saving.

There is a sense in which it is also accomplished by the preacher.

Jde 1:23, And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

I totally agree with allll of that. I really do. But I too often hear as an excuse that Christians are hypocrites as a reason for people not to come and be saved. One person said to my mother "I can't go to church, they are all hypocrites there"! She said " so are you, come and join us and we'll be perfected together." ;)

I don't know. I am a seed-planter; not a reaper generally.
Jhn 4:35, Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Jhn 4:36, And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
Jhn 4:37, And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
Jhn 4:38, I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
