Plus further proof that is no such thing as false prophet amongst Christians.

But anyone who is not a Christian and claims to be a prophet is a false prophet .

But more importantly this thread is more about why personal prophecy should be seeked. πŸ˜‡

1 Corinthians 14
New International Version
Intelligibility in Worship
14 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy. 2 For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a] does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. 3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort. 4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues,[c] unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Above we the sugestion i would rather one of you speaks ( meaning an indivudual who has recieved a prophecy.

6 Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction? 7 Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? 8 Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? 9 So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 10 Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning. 11 If then I do not grasp the meaning of what someone is saying, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and the speaker is a foreigner to me. 12 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Above we are all asked to excell in seeking prophecy, but also we will also see personal prophecy shortly, spoken from 1 indivual to another. 😍

13 For this reason the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that they may interpret what they say. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. 15 So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding. 16 Otherwise when you are praising God in the Spirit, how can someone else, who is now put in the position of an inquirer,[d] say β€œAmen” to your thanksgiving, since they do not know what you are saying? 17 You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified.

18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you. 19 But in the church I would rather speak five intelligible words to instruct others than ten thousand words in a tongue.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Above we see a mention of speaking prophesy to others from one individual to another and we will see others also refers to individuals shortly.😍

20 Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. 21 In the Law it is written:

β€œWith other tongues
and through the lips of foreigners
I will speak to this people,
but even then they will not listen to me,
says the Lord.”[e]

22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers. 23 So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and inquirers or unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind? 24 But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, 25 as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, β€œGod is really among you!”
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Above we see that if an unbeliever (meaning one individual should come into a church whilst prophecy is being spoken from another individual (IE a believer who has seeked prophecy), the prophecy may be for the unbeliever personaly, to make him fall to his knees and worship, and also there may be a personal prophecy for another unbeliever to be convicted of a sin in there life from the believer speaking prophecy. which is personal prophecy from one indivudual to another. 😍

Good Order in Worship
26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, twoβ€”or at the most threeβ€”should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.

29 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30 And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31 For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32 The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peaceβ€”as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.
🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

above we see prophecy being spoken in turn to correct each other personaly, which as we see above the only prophecy being spoken here is one that is being seeked from the holy spirit for today the present and the future.

So we see that there is no such thing as a christian being a false prophet because any christian can speak prophecy, which means there are no more prophets that speak for God but there is Christians. πŸ˜πŸ˜‡πŸ‘πŸ˜‹

Believers who are given the Gift of Prophecy can certainly do so, but not all Christians are given that Gift. I do not think we can sat "there are no more Prophets" with certainty. In order to do so, we would have to investigate every report of a person prophesying all over the world. Doubt anyone has done that. On the other hand, if a Christian prophesies, is he NOT speaking for God? Does that NOT mean he is acting as a Prophet?

You've posted a lot of scriptures as "proof"; it's unfortunate you don't understand what they mean.

I personal believe a prophecy relative for today even tho it was spoken befor the cross was not only intended for Peter but for all.

As we can see from the last 3 posts Jesus has been denied three times.

First response states prophecy is not for all Christians (false).

All Christians are told to seek prophecy.

Second response ignores the fact a Christian can not be called a prophet or a false prophet.

3rd response ignores the fact the op is very simple to understand.

And all response ignore the fact theese are the words of the holy spirit not mine.

So anyway having witnessing yet more direct attempts to argue I will disappear for another week.

That it is not true. That is false teaching and as such, it is to be pointed out and people should be warned not to follow your personal interpretation

Yeah. The thing is though, that it is not Jesus who is being denied. People are denying YOU. Christians are admonished to seek truth and understanding. You should really try and seek some of that.

As long as it comes from scripture. We have all we need from God in scripture.

The Book of Revelation outlines what the Spirit of prophecy is.

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Hogwash. Don't confuse rejection of your own ideas with denial of Christ.

All Christians are told to seek prophecy.
That's incorrect. Paul told the Corinthians, "Be eager to prophesy". That is not the same thing as "seeking prophecy".

Second response ignores the fact a Christian can not be called a prophet or a false prophet.
Again, your comment is incorrect. Christians can indeed be called prophets. Agabus and at least one of his companions were called prophets in Acts 11:27.

So anyway having witnessing yet more direct attempts to argue I will disappear for another week.
You want to disappear, that's your business. Don't try to pin blame on others though; it's your response, and your problem. ;)

His Written Word is our Playbook for this life and instructions on how to inherit eternal life. If pastors ONLY preached the words written in red, it would suffice in fulfilling Christs Ministry.... (im0)

The Pharisees thought that too, and Jesus rebuked them.
Jesus told them they should have come to Him for salvation, but He also said the Scriptures testified of Him. We NEED the Holy Bible! The Written Word is where we learn of the Living Word. I think that is far different than those Jews who rejected Jesus in favor of the Old Testament Scriptures which is all they had at that time.

ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD BREATHED!

Well since there are already many false prophets among Christians (and have been for quite some time) it seems that you are living in another reality. False prophets are also false teachers, and Christ already warned us that there would be many false prophets (and false messiahs) before His Second Coming.

Scripture is not sufficient? Scripture was not complete during the days of Jesus. There was further revelation to come. It is complete now.

Paul's letters written in black are equally inspired by God. Paul's letters instruct the body of Christ on how to live the crucified life. Are you a "red letter" Christian?

Yeah, false is right. You make Jesus a liar. So who is false? I'll go with YOU.

PS~ Why do you misrepresent what my response was?

I simply quoted Jesus. Try being honest for a change.

The testimony of Jesus is found in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. He already told us that.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself... And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. (Luke 24: 27, 44).

What is "Moses" and "the Law of Moses"? That is in fact the Torah (from Genesis to Deuteronomy -- 5 books). The we have "the Prophets" (8 books). Then we have "the Psalms" (11 books). For a total of 24 books in the Hebrew Tanakh ( equal to our 39 books of the OT). Then we have all 27 books of the NT. So this is "the testimony of Jesus". There is no need to be chasing after modern prophets (charlatans).
