Why do people keep saying the public acceptance of homosexuality is a recent thing? Greek, Roman, Sodomite, there have been many cultures in history where it became acceptable.

This is nothing new. It's just a repeating cycle.

What worries me is what always happened next. It seems homosexuality became commonly accepted right before their respective societies crumbled.

As I depend on the current society for my job, this concerns me... :-/
I reference "public acceptance" because that's the big promo this whole month. 15 Years ago, this degree of perversion was not public policy. I made reference to it in my previous post in case you didn't read that far.

"It's only recently, with exception to the perverse cultures, that the Sodomitish perversions are publicly acceptable."

Yes, there have always been perverse cultures. Some of them had fire and brimstone rain upon them even since the cities of the well watered plain Lot was accustomed to.

Those were warnings for our admonition.
Those who joined affinity with the Sodomites angered God. Those who did not allow them in the land were blessed and honored by God.
Some people pretend to act like they have more love than God. The new term for that is Virtue Signaling.

"Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleve to that which is good."

What is everyone’s feelings on transgender?
Pretty clear cut.
God made every human being biological Male and female..Regardless of what an individual identify themselves as being (gender dysphoria) as being a different gender from that they biological are doesn't change the fact that they are actually a man or a woman biologically created by God.A woman cannot become a man and a man cannot be one a woman no matter how they act, have surgery, take medication to alter certain traits..the are "Still" what God originally made them as being.
Yet they are insisting they actually ARE what they feel they are even thought biological they are most certainly not.

They're so many things going around that the worlds gone mad. They are now trying to say that Gods gender neutral because he made man/woman in his own image...that Eve is a transgender woman because the rib was originally taken from a man then..schools are having drag queens leading story time for children..some are introducing all kinds of silliness of using pronouns they/ them for some children...the list goes on and on.
There are transgender Christians who believe God made them that way..there's even a bible translation called the 'queen james bible' (an deliberate removal of the masculine word 'king').....I could go on...but what other view can I have except that the whole transgender movement is demonic deception. They are naturally spiritually blind to this..so they need our prayers answered and to be knowledgeable of how to breakdown this deception with biblical truth and biological evidence....with compassion and more..so.much I could say..

I have been living in Europe for two decades, and homosexuality is nowhere near being accepted here. The pride flags are being burned or taken down repeatedly. Threats and harassment are usual. Transgendered people are being beaten up regularly.

But that’s not all. Every kind of minority is being preyed on here be it ethnicity, religion, gender etc. Even being American could be used against you. Don’t stick out is my advice to anybody thinking of settling down here. They treating you good when you’re coming here as a tourist doesn’t mean they’ll treat you good as a citizen.

in nz I think its well known that if you go into politics, it most probably means you are gay/trans lbtqi whatver. Because the laws have been changed now.

There been trans mayors, gay politicians (one in my electorate) and they are all very vocal about what they want. which is to be the best city in the world to attract the most money and have the most thriving red light district. Just like Babylon.

In fact I saw the book 'the richest man in Babylon' is a very popular business book. In Revelation we know what happens to the whore of Babylon but people dont care. They want the money, the fame, and the accolades. They want to be worshipped.

It’s Norway, but they dislike foreigners in general here. Or anybody going against the flow. If you’re woke, don’t say it out loud. They’re crazy about electric cars but only to save money, when the power bills skyrocketed they started buying gasoline and diesel cars again. They don’t give a crap about climate change.

They complain about the gun legislation in the states, but goes off the handle if the lawmakers tries to restrict the liberal gun laws over here. In rural Norway a man is viewed as a metrosexual gay if he doesn’t own at least five guns. And a truck. And a snowmobile. And an ATV. And if he don’t hunt he’s probably gay.

As a southerner this doesn’t bother me at all, it’s just the conformity here that’s making me feel like an alien.

You're as cold as ice
You're willing to sacrifice our love

You never take advice
But someday you'll pay the price for love
That’s more or less what my mother said 20 years ago lol.

Well the reason I asked, and what started this long thread derail, is I hear it's much different in other EU countries.

Well, parts of them. Kind of like parts of the USA are really pro-LGBTQ(andwhatevertheyaddedlately) and parts are against it. But from what i hear parts of Britain are really woke these days. They're cool with it as long as it doesn't interfere with their drinking.

The Scandinavian countries are rural so woke ain’t really a big thing here. Drinking, on the other hand, is a big thing. I think it’s their way of loosening up from the stress conformity is creating. Unfortunately assault and battery, domestic violence and other issues are trailing right behind that amount of alcohol consumption.

In order to not derail this thread any further I’ll have to add that this probably applies to transgenders as well.

It does remind me of that southern comedian though, who was talking about how bad it was living in New York City.

"It was seven degrees outside. That's the high. Those were all the degrees we was gonna get that day."

I saw the netflix doco on bruce/caitlyn jenner. My thought was he/she was trying too hard to be masculine when he was a decathlete and then feminine when he changed to being caitlyn ...rather than just be a whole person.

I read a book called Faking it by Kyle mewburn who also changed to be female. He/she is a childrens book author. Most of the book he was trying to pass for female like it was his ultimate fantasy and getting the surgery was like his dream come true tho it costs heaps of money to do so.

I havent really read any of females wanting to be males but I guess thats something else again and possibly a bit more accepted, now that women can work traditonally mens jobs, wear pants, and can choose to not have children and not marry and nobody really worries that they are becoming men or unsexing themselves.
and if they are lesbian then they still come across as female I suppose although you get a certain vibe when you sense that someone is just trying way too hard and not being who they are.

I do want people to know that Jesus wasnt a stranger to this because Judas kissed him! Also Judas seemed quite jealous that Mary was friendly with Jesus out of proportion with his so called friendship so things were going on there. Like was it any of his business that Mary gave Jesus some expensive perfume?

Coveting someone elses body is really what its about isnt it. Not being happy with the body God gave you. As clay we just have to ask the Potter to shape us rather than try and do it all ourselves.

Folks ain’t happy about nothing. I think it’s been like that since Adam and Eve.

These days not being happy about one’s designated body seems to be the norm, tomorrow it’s probably something else.

Also, either you have never been to my church or you have no idea what a liberal church is... Probably both. United Pentecostal Church is quite far from liberal. Gays pretty much hate us for not letting them sing and preach.
I kept forgetting to ask you about this (in bold type).

1. When you say your church "doesn't let gays sing", I assume you mean not sing (on 'stage') in front of the congregation, as opposed to singing in the pews, right?

2. How does your church identify "gays"?

3. (a) Is this rule written down into the bylaws? (b) Was it decided by the church consistory (or specific group of elders) or by the pastor?
