Biblical evil is the opposite of good. Destruction is evil not good.
Well… there is an evil that is anti-God… and there is an evil that God uses to correct His children and an evil God used to destroy His enemies…

In a post perfect and good world, it is sadly very natural for some to blame God for evil. In fact, most of us at one time or another may have done so.

But God is good and to state He made a tree evil with the thought of tempting His creation to disobey Him, is in itself evil. It is to malign the very character of God to offer this thought and is actually tempting in itself to allow a lie to creep in and distort a person's true understanding of God and what He states about Himself in scripture.
It’s NOT a Blame Game…. It’s WONDERFUL that God chose to give us a choice by creating BOTH Trees… God’s NOT EVIL at all! He is simply giving us a choice.

I'm a bit confused by it my self

In one passage of the bible the lord says do not repay evil with evil😪😥

What are we supposed to believe

I suspect we live in a devided language

Did you know we speak this language in England

i am asking, why didn't they eat from the Tree of Life?
Did they not? This relates back to the OP is there a way to obtain eternal life without Jesus having to die.
…why Jesus Christ had to die… why there was no other way?
Is it the same tree as in the NJ? Wait is there more than one tree of life in the NJ?

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

I hope it bears a lot of fruit, if theres alot of people in heaven I dont wont to miss out

Does that verse offend you? It does not agree with what you believe.

Just ask God like you tell others to do. I did not create this thread nor say that God created evil.

Perhaps you can reference the verse or passage in scripture that indicate God created two trees to provide a choice.

God gave Adam and Eve the entire garden save one tree from which He said do not eat of its fruit or you will die.

You simply add to what is written to justify your personal interpretation.

i am not adding, i am asking, why didn't they eat from the Tree of Life?
If you did not know cars were on the same road as the one you wanted to cross and did not look both ways before crossing, does that mean that a car would not hit you? You would like to have the reasoning of Adam and Eve spelled out with perhaps a narration by God but it isn't going to happen and just asking God for the answer as the op says, and then expecting that what pops into your mind is from God is dangerous. We see nothing about searching the scriptures which might satisfy people's curiosity.

I could respond with more than one answer to that, but that would be speculation which is better left to those who cannot accept what is written but add or subtract from it according to their own opinions.

The Bible actually supplies every single answer to every why of the op. Save the one where the op believes God created evil.

God did not create evil. That would change the entire paradigm of the Bible

No offense but I'm done with your speculations having just read a few more.

Nothing you have posted offends me, saddened me only.

You speak according to what you believe is true, just as I do. The only One now that can open your eyes or mine is God alone.

I know that I am not listening to you anymore…. and it would not surprise me if you are no longer listening to me.

…why Jesus Christ had to die… why there was no other way?

God the Father controls all “time”… why not go back in time and let Adam and Eve take the test again?

Why create Satan knowing he will be evil?

Why choose Judas as a disciple knowing he is a devil and will betray you?

How many times has God had to choose to save us?

Why is God choosing to suffer so much for us?

…perhaps the “Grande Finale” of God’s Plan must be so spectacular and worth it all to Him…. I want to be there with Him to see the “Grande Finale” and hear Him say, “It is FINISHED!”(y)
The Bible is clear on why. My thought or question or wonder and you put it, is why would God not just obliterate humans and start over, because we all deserve his temporal amd eternal punishment. Wretched everyone even the best of us.

i read the first page and it appears this Thread is more in line with Research, as in ask the questions no one can answer. But while we are simply asking questions, you think you're putting fires out. over what, Research?

it shouldn't, unless it is coming from God, then you would feel guilty. but you don't appear to feel guilty at all.

I am thankful you understood my line of questioning. more importantly, that my questions don't pertain towards a doctrinal statement, but a question that should be asked because it's an obvious question just presenting itself.

6 In order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the Lord and there is no other.

That was a verse from scripture. You have tried to draw me into a personal debate and you are not able to so now you will ignore me.

Nothing changes it seems.

Adam and Eve for different reasons chose to eat the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Satan drew Eve’s focus to that tree. Adam’s focus was on Eve… they took their eyes off of God.

Peter was walking in water until he took his eyes off Jesus…

That is your opinion on both counts. You cannot possibly have read much of the thread if you think innocent questions are being asked.

Anyone who thinks God created evil needs biblical instruction very badly but are probably already getting that from a teacher who has gone off the rails.

Adding to or twisting scripture is not research. Wow. You read the first page.

Do you also believe God created evil? That is what the debate is about. Try to keep up.

I believe what the Hebrew Tanakh states.

6 In order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the Lord and there is no other.

There were lots of trees. They could choose to eat from them or not. They didn't need a forbidden tree to make choices. Didn't Adam make choices on what to name the animals?
It was the choice to choose God’s Will or their own will. God’s Will is Life. Our will is Death.

It was God’s Will that Adam choose the names for all the animals. Adam was obeying God with the animals.

There was no command recorded to name the animals.

something in the minds of Adam and Eve kept them from choosing to eat of that Tree so they would choose to eat of the one forbidden.

or, maybe it was on their minds to eat but they refused to.
It was their focus. They had their eyes off God.

the querstion that keeps resurfacing is "why did god plant, or place, the tokogae in the midst of the garden," but can anyone say, without any degree of certainty, with evidence from scripture, that the trees of life and tokogae were "placed" there? It seems to me that scripture only reads that (those two trees) were also in the midst of the garden where every tree that was pleasing to the sight and was good for food (Genesis 2:9), and not that they were also good for food (even tho eve saw it was good for food and pleasing to the sight, wasn't she was deceived)?
