Good News Translation
Good News Bible - Pros and Cons
Overall, the Good News Bible / Today’s English Version is a very good and accurate translation. It is easy to read and uses understandable modern English. If it has a general flaw, it does seem that the GNB is a little too dynamic in places, causing some of its renderings to be significantly different from what is said in the original languages. There is one particularly poor translation, however: "What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his own Son, who came with a nature like man’s sinful nature, to do away with sin" (Romans 8:3). Romans 8:3 in the GNB/TEV essentially says that Jesus had a sinful nature, which obviously goes against many other Scriptures in the New Testament, even within the Good News Bible itself. source

That's a really bad understanding and actually a major error. The GNB has good reviews, but the error conceived and quoted above is major.

whoops

Was Jesus a Judaizer? He is a Jew. He kept the Sabbath. He was sinless and therefore qualified to be our example of how to walk out our faith. He showed others how the Pharisees and Sadducee hung on to their Oral Traditions that they put above and more important than the plain words of the Torah and claimed they had the right to supersede YHWH/LORD, Can you see how stupid those were that kept their traditions and diminished or add to the Torah? YHWH tells us twice in the Torah do not add or diminish His Words. Moses was just the transcriber of the dictation. Why is it we should not add or diminish from Torah? Because it is PERFECT and you cannot make something more PERFECT by adding to it or taking from it. It is the MASTER PIECE of all TIME.

Matthew 15:1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
Mat 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
Mat 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
Mat 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mar 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Tradition = paradosis = G3862 = παράδοσις = 666
From G3860; transmission, that is, (concretely) a precept; specifically the Jewish traditionary law: - ordinance, tradition.
And then Acts happened.

No one said Jesus was a Judaizer. Nice try though.
I am addressing your phrases in post #12 "Judaizing propaganda" & #9 "You're out to Judaize Christians with false doctrine,"

I see many Christians are confused about the Oral Law of the Pharisees and Saducee versus the Written Law (first five books of the bible). The Talmud and Kabbalah are ADDED BOOKS/FORBIDDEN-FILLED WITH MAN-MADE CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS. i am so saddened everytime I see comments that are not truthful and not edifying or not explained as to what is really being said.

What is false doctrine about remembering the Sabbath and keeping it holy?
What is the propaganda you are referring to?

And yes I am saying that Jesus was a Judaizer against man-made traditions that added to or diminished from the Torah/Commandments/Life Instructions. 2Timothy 3:16 ALL scripture (the Torah, prophets and writings) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

All adding to or diminishing of Torah is sin/iniquity/lawlessness.

1) 1 John 3:4 Everyone who sins breaks the law (Torah); in fact, sin is lawlessness.

2) Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

3) Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

The reason we cannot add or diminish is because it is eternally perfect. You cannot make something perfect that is already perfect. It is the MASTER'S PIECE. That is why it is a Great Pearl. Matthew 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Jesus also told His audience to observe and do all that is read during the reading in Moses' Seat.

4) Matthew 23:1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
Matthew 23:2 "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
Matthew 23:3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

5) Ezekiel 36:23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

6) Jeremiah 18:15 Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;

7) Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

8) Zechariah 8:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

9) Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

10) 2Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; :4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

11) Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

12) Matthew 22:29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

13) Mark 12:24 Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?

14) 2 Peter 3:15 Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

" . . . πῶς τὰ ἔθνος ἀναγκάζω Ἰουδαΐζω?" Galatians 2:14
Gal atians 2:14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

What is the truth of the gospel to you?

Are you saying you do not know what the truth of the gospel is? Have you got your scissors handy? Tell me what part of THE WORD is propaganda?
If you're expecting a debate out of me you're in for a long wait. It's clear you're thoroughly indoctrinated and any interaction with you on this would just be a waste of my time and yours. I know you desperately want to indoctrinate me too but it ain't gonna happen. Bye.

Indoctrinate. Interesting choice of words. First it's propaganda and then false doctrine. None of these words sound innocuous. And of course, you removing Grace from my name is childish.

Not observing the Sabbath is one way of someone trying to make sure they are not one of God's elects. :(

We do not observe special days, seasons or other physical things for our salvation

We believe in Jesus who is Lord of all and Savior of all who trust Him for their salvation.

The gospel includes ALL who come to saving faith in Jesus and not some version of what certain denoms think regarding election.

Put your faith in Christ and not law keeping, going to worship on Saturday or other divisive traditions.

I know from the scriptures from the beginning that He on the Seventh Rested, so we as Christians have learned to do the same.

And also to Remember The Sabbath to keep it holy, as He did, and soo many other things to do and not to do on the Sabbath.
This was told to the ancient Israelites, not to Christians. How hard is that to understand?

The Word is Truth. Jesus Yeshua IS the Word. He does not speak lies to Jews and Truth to Gentiles, nor the other way around.

Jesus said It, I believe It, and That settles it. (Variation seen on a bumper sticker..)
