Hi everyone! I am Angie and I was saved a year ago by our mighty Lord Jesus Christ. But I am not new to christianity. I grew up in a christian household but God was never really talked about and we never read the bible. A year ago after I had a hard time the Lord showed Himself to me through being my only way out of the dark. And I am beyond thankful and blessed. But there are some things in my life that I’m not quite sure about. Like having muslim friends and pretty much no christian friends and so here I am looking to connect over our Heavenly Father and to talk about Him because I rarely get to, since everyone in my life is rejecting Him. I try to bring him up in conversations and I’ve seen faces light up but I really just want to share this passion that I have for Him with some people. So come say hi!

IMG_0874.jpg I love your passion, Angie! 0ur Father in heaven loves us so much but He also desires that we love Him back.

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.

Welcome Angie! I grew up in a similar family and social dynamic , most around me had the form of godliness with a type of shallow morality but lacked authenticity and mercy Some would deny Christ outright while claiming their own moral rightness, thank God I saw the light and I came to Christ in 2020. Welcome aboard sister!

Hi Angie, welcome to cc. Glade you are here. I relate with what you are going through. I was a child when I first went to church, my parents got divorced, I turned away from God for many years, a year and a half ago I came forth as a man and I am so very thankful for the Lord's love and patience. Most of my family has turned their backs to me. It's ok because I still love them and I also have brothers and sisters in Christ which I am so thankful for. But we are glad you are here and I'm sure there are a lot of us who can relate to what you are experiencing. The lord is always with us and because of him things are much easier to go through. God bless

it's always a personal choice about picking friends. people may advise & the advice can be totally correct & backed with wisdom. for a lot of people, the more "Christian" you act & behave , the more you're going to want Christian friends only. connoting with he heavenly Father can also mean staying with Christianity only. possibly, you can witness to your muslim friends & they'll become born again.

Personally I avoid nonchristians like the plague..:)

"He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm" (Proverbs 13:20)
"Don't let unbelievers into your house or bid them God speed" (2 John 1:10 KJV)
"What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?..Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord, I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters" (2 Cor 6:14-18 )
"..many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh,
have gone out into the world...do not take them into your house or welcome them.
Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work" (2 John 1:7-11)

Instead, mix only with Christians so that your spiritual strength will rub off on each other..:)
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17)

It's a start. A couple laps around the cloister should suffice.
Oh penance. Nice. I'm glad to have opportunity to make up for the shortcomings of the cross this side of glory.
