Keep in mind it was the Sadducees who brought this question to Jesus (the Sadducees didn’t even believe in the resurrection) ( they only believed in the first 5 books of the OT. They brought this ridiculous hypocritical situation to Jesus in an effort to prove how ridiculous the resurrection sounded. Let’s first keep that as the context. The Sadducees were arguing something they didn’t even believe possible.

“And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.””
