Brings back memories of a lever gun I enjoyed, a Marlin 39A, only 22 caliber but a lot of fun and very accurate.:)(y)

I have one of those, as well... they are very nicely made, heirloom quality 22 rifles. Mine is quite accurate, also.

I'm about to change my ".45 game" a bit. I've had a Blackhawk .45 convertible for several months, but in the last day or so had the chance to trade it for a Redhawk in .45 Colt, with a 4.2" barrel. I've wanted a Redhawk in .45 Colt for quite some time now, and this deal just fell in my lap.... (y)(y)
I'm supposed to make the trade Sat morning, and plan to take it to the range immediately afterwards.

So now, my combo will be the Rossi in .45 Colt, paired with the Redhawk in .45 Colt.
I have a stainless Blackhawk in .357 to pair with my Henry levergun in .357, so I'm pretty much set.

Then all I "need" is the 1911 I've been looking at.....

As always with a firearm, it is far better to have it and not need it , than to need it and not have it.:)
Have a 45 Blackhawk convertible as well, might want to hang onto it, the 45 acp shot from a revolver is one of the most accurate I have ever seen , you almost can't miss.

Yes, they are nice.... I had all 3 of the Redhawks when they first came out.... my favorite was the 5.5" 41 magnum... the 5.5" 357 magnum was nice, but too much gun for that caliber (now they make them with 8 round cylinders.... more appropriate for the size)
My 44 mag was the 7.5" version, and I never got attached to it. I ended up trading them all off for one thing or another.... then the .45 Colt Redhawk came out.... I've wanted one since then, but just never got around to it.
I figure I'll have the Redhawk for the 45 Colt, and a 1911 for the 45 ACP.... that should cover the 45 spectrum.... I don't need anything more powerful than those...

I like what one of the folks on Graybeard said years ago, "the isn't much you can't do with a 255 grain bullet at 950 fps"

Last weekend, I got to try out the Redhawk, and it's nice... the DA trigger pull is slick...
I also shot my Ruger 10/22 that I recently put a new Vortex scope on....
I sighted it in on the red center bull, then shot at the little orange pasters. My best group was the 5 shots at the 9 o'clock position on the edge of the red bull area... it's about 1/2"...
The groups on the orange pasters are all .8" or less.... and the group at the bottom left is 20 rounds of CCI Blazer ammo, in about an inch.
All the other groups were with CCI Standard Vel rounds.
I'm pleased... this shows promise for being a very accurate rifle.... all the groups were at 50 yards...

So many things are changing, 30 carbine steel case doesn't seem to have come back.
Anyone see any?
32 S&W reloading set would be awesome too.
best wishes

I wasn't aware they made 30 carbine in steel cases.... are they Russian mfg? I'll keep my eyes open....
I've never had any dies for the .32, but there are quite a few listed on eblay, in the $40 range...

Wolf was one brand, a little rough on extractors in some weapons, yet any steel used for a case should be much softer that the steel for the firearm.
The 32 was a long time, just for fun, project, a friend has 2 plated revolver, H&R and Iver Johnson, police revolvers from way back when, 32 was enough, probably still is, being here in the Idiot Tube Society everyone thinks they need more and more power like in the movies.
I'm also thinking on a case of 9mm, 124 gr. is about as cheap as 115, probably make the machine run better.

funny you should mention that.... I am contemplating getting a case of the 124gr stuff.... Norma is on sale right now for $11.50 per box. That's about as cheap as I've found. Of course, shipping would increase it a bit, per box, but that's still cheap.

I'm thinking the 124 and higher might make the machine run better, as long as we stay in Him, He will protect us.
The way Norma has been priced, looked like they made thgem mone at a time, just curious what the best brass to reload is and Norma comes to mind, not that I have had experience with it.

I have never had moose, but I've heard that if you eat it, you'll never want beef steak again.... it's supposed to be that good.
