Seeing all of this talk about the shape of the earth on this forum is getting me to want to test/measure for earth curvature. What is the best method I can use to get repeatable undeniable results proving/showing earth curvature?

How can we observe the sun not moving across the sky?
Dear Lord, help me.......... It does move across the sky. Of course, you could stick your head in a bucket and you won't be able to see it. The earth rotates, it takes 24 hours from point to point. It's called a day. From the observer's point of view, it is the sun that moves. In reality, it is the earth that rotates. If you look at sunset from a plane at 30,000 ft, it gets dark on the ground before the air. This is because the sun is not in fact setting. The earth is rotating relative to the sun. You are welcome.

You have just admitted to seeing the sun moving but not the earth; I am going to have to find another scenario to test for earth curvature.

Great question. I actually asked this exact question to someone who believed in the Helliocentric model, and got nothing. Experiments have already been done, the case is closed, but the debate rages on for some reason.

Basically the easiest way is measuring the curvature on a lake, measuring the curvature of a large body of earth, takes new survey technology, or a lot of time, and money.....

I will try to run my experiment this weekend, if weather cooperates.

I will show how I did it, and conclusions.

Anyways.....

With new surveying technologies, measuring the curvature of the earth is in reach. I lost the youtube link, but with new survey tools, one can do a large survey of the earth. When I find it, I will post it.

This video pretty much proves ocean water goes up (Concave Hollow Earth), not down (convex earth), or is flat (flat earth). It's really game over. Concave Hollow Earth wins so many times, that why it can't be discredited, and is ignored. It's true.

A long time ago the curvature of the earth was measured with a Rectilineator. Video below gives full details on how it was done in Florida. There a whole book written about the Concave Hollow Earth with proof. It's called, Cellular Cosmogony, Earth is a Concave Sphere, with proof. You can get it on Amazon. Author is Cyrus Teed.

I posted this video, even though I risk it from being deleted, so I hope someone appreciates it.

Measure the sun from above.

My guess is that the heliocentrists will need to invoke magic gravity, or obfuscation (as we see in Gideon's example - lol - where he admitted that he observed the sun moving, not the Earth, but that "you can't be sure it isn't the sun moving because they teach nothing in school these days". Lol! Gideon probably was speaking from his own experience of school days.)

As opposed to magic nothing that somehow causes objects to fall to earth? Give your head a shake, then tell us what you think the cause is.

I've nothing against the observable phenomena of "gravity" pulling things downward. Where Flat Earthers deviate from heliocentrists is that heliocentrists invoke the unprovable idea that gravity can also act sideways or upward, and somehow has the same grip on the atmosphere as it does on the Earth. Hence the term "magic gravity", because it can never be proven, only trusted in with the blind faith of the heliocentrists.

Do heliocentrists use magic gravity to measure the curvature of the Earth, or is there a more scientific-sounding methodology they invoke?

Is this anything like that magic ice wall that y'all never will take a jet out to visit? With modern air travel it should be easy to prove exactly how far out and exactly how far around it is.

Mind you, I don't see any personal profit in ridiculing flat earthers. I just object to the magic gravity insult on principle, so I thought I should point out something y'all could prove easily but never have bothered with.

Gravity does indeed act in all directions, but the predominant effect is’ downward’ because the earth is the largest and closest mass by a significant margin, so we don’t notice the others. This has been demonstrated.

Gravity operates the same way on atmosphere as on solids or liquids, but because the mass is much less dense, the effect is different. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is held to the earth’s surface by gravity just as water is. It’s not magic, though to someone with little to no understanding of physics, it might seem to be. The refusal to accept the plain explanation and to continue calling it ‘magic’ suggests a preference for fantasy over reality.

I'm fairly sure there are photographs of it... You haven't seen them?

We don't notice the others, or they don't exist? I suggest the former.
This has been demonstrated.
Oh really? Lol. Are you going to quote an experiment from NASA on the moon? I'm talking about real science - testable and repeatable.

I think it is you who has little understanding of physics, as the atmosphere in proximity of Earth has significantly less mass than the Earth does, yet "magic gravity" (and yes, it must be magic despite your protestations to the contrary, because it doesn't follow the very rules you Heliocentrists say is should) manages to keep the atmosphere and the Earth together and traveling at the same speed, so the purported incredible rate of spinning by the Earth is unobserved at the surface, as the atmosphere is magically glued in place by magic gravity.

Yeah I've seen those. Those are ice caps - spots, not a contiguous wall that goes all the way around.

Y'all should be able to take a jet with a rather large gas tank out to recon the perimeter and prove it.

Again: Mind you, I don't see any personal profit in ridiculing flat earthers. I just object to the magic gravity insult on principle, so I thought I should point out something y'all could prove easily but never have bothered with.

Typo in previous post. Obviously, as a Flat Earther, I suggest the latter.

What do you believe is the best method to use to measure earth curvature?
