Can you give a definition or some idea of an act that mirrors sin, but is not sin?

I only put "the acts that mirror sin" in my tread question to make it more difficult for people to want to try claim they don't sin. In my opinion, there is no act which mirrors sin, which in reality is not sin.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

A person can be saved and go back to enjoying sin and losing their soul.

They say faith alone but love is greater than faith, and faith works by love.

Love does not think an evil thought, and does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth to abstain from sin led by the Spirit.

So if they enjoy sin then that is not love then their faith is dead for love is greater than faith.

Faith means nothing unless there is love.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Ti 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Ti 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

A person can be saved and lose salvation if they go back to the world believing in something else such as another religion, or being an atheist.

The Bible says some shall depart from the faith and follow this religion which is the new age movement who follow Lucifer, which if they do that they cannot come back and be saved again.

If a person leaves the truth of the Bible for an alternate reality they cannot be saved again for God will not allow it.

So a person can be in the faith and leave the truth that Jesus is Lord and Savior for an alternate reality in which they cannot be saved again if they change their mind.

All this faith alone, and they can never fall is causing a lot of hypocrisy, and is not correct.

It is love alone, and faith works by love, and love does not sin led by the Spirit,

The Bible says if a person is saved and does not continue in the goodness of God they shall be cut off.

And Jesus said if a person puts their hand to the plow and looks back they are not fit for the kingdom of God, which remember Lot's wife.

There are millions of people that say faith alone and then they are living in sin as they are at the worldly movie theaters, and they go to the bar, and they drink, and smoke, and possibly drugs, and watching programs on television that is not God approved, and listening to worldly music, and loving money, and material things, and think they are alright.

But God said love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

All Born Again people will sin ----it is only our Spirit that is Made Holy upon accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour -----you Spirit is heaven Bound but your Soul which is your mind --will and emotions need work to catch up ti your Renewed Spirit -----your Soul is still living according to the World and needs to be Renewed as well -----and that is our Job -----

God said we are to work our our own Salvation -----this is the Sanctification of our Soul ----this process is on going till we die ---as we will continue to Miss The Mark ------the Mind needs to be renewed ----so Maturing in your Faith walk with Christ is needed ------and as you mature in your Walk with Christ you will do everything you can to stay away from Missing The Mark ------

The great thing about this is God does not impute our sin upon us any more ----we will be convicted in our Minds by the Holy Spirit when we Miss The Mark and we will confess our Missing The Mark and then it is up to us to get back on the right train track to try and stay away from Missing The Mark -----as sin Grieves the Holy Spirit ---and true Christians don't want to Grieve the Holy Spirit ------

Also Born Again People have God's Grace to Call on in their weakness to fall into sin -----

From Google

In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul quotes Jesus who said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God is perfect in every way, giving Him the power to make up for any weaknesses we have

Instead of voting what do you believe is the answer to this question. :)

Do you believe a person is able to commit sin and or commit acts that mirror sin which leads to perdition after becoming eternally born-again once?

That is not enough to get to heaven. You have to know the answer to this question to have any hope of ever getting to heaven. We will be praying for you. :(

No that is false doctrine ----this is how you get to Heaven --------do what the Word who is Jesus says -----here and your saved ----heaven bound---sin will always be there but God only see Christ in you ------

You don't go to Hell for the sins you commit now ----you go to Hell for Rejecting Jesus Christ who paid your penalty for your sin ------

the Scripture below tells you the how and why your saved -------

Any one can have a belief ---but this belief is a deeper belief ---it is adhearing to ---and trusting in the truth of the Word who Is JESUS

Romans 10----
8 But what does it say? The Word (God’s message in Christ) is near you, on your lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we preach,

9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

If gives you a condition -------

The Why here ---you confess your faith with your mouth and trust in your heart that you will be saved ------

Heart and mouth are connected ------you will speak what is in your heart --------

10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

11 The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.

Naw, that wouldn't be pre-loaded at all now, would it?

The Bible says that we must abide in the Vine.

I am thinking the reason why so many people on Christian Chat are not voting on this poll is because they do not believe being born-again is eternal.

As one who has cursed God who have blasphemed him who has f you to him in my anguish and anger yet he never left me he didin't even strike me down though I more than deserved it how he comforted me and stilled my heart.

Can you think of any greater offense or sin? yet he loves me he is always there for me he is not just patient but is tender to me in these times. We are his beloved children even if we throw tantrums even if we screw up over and over again I am a testimony of this whatever sin you may have mine is absolutely deserving of his fiery judgement but yet he comnforts me I can always talk with him I am handled with gentle understanding and love.

Sin is nothing when you are his
