The covenant of the sword
"I have come to bring a sword" is not a covenant. If you would drop the concept (and word) 'covenant', we can have a conversation. Otherwise, you're off in left field.

you have it back to front,

all believers will have a sword that Pearce's there soul, which then means they are under a new covenant.

A covenant is contract or a will.

How much more of a contract or a will be, when a sword penetrates your soul can this be.

Each covenant throughout the bible establishes the basis of a relationship, and conditions.

Then theres the consequences of not honouring those conditions.

So how much of a relationship is the sword that Pearce's your soul.

And how much of a condition can that be.

And how much of a will can that be

And Jesus will come back to settle disputes between all nations including those who have that sword.

As he will watch all nations strike there plough shares with there swords.

Then he will judge all nations.

Obviously they must be the swords that penetrate there soul.

Obviously you have missed the covenant that Christians are under 😊

Also God establishes covenants with certain people and these covenants, and theese covenants are the way God unfolds his redemptive plan. 😊

The redemptive plan for Christians is a sword that penetrates the soul

Also Jesus is the great redeemer of souls.

But under this covenant there is requirements.

One of them is to love thy enemy and love thy neighbour.

So if your not doing that then your under a different redemptive plan.

Don't bother with your dismissive comments... especially when they don't relate to my post at all.

The Bible doesn't say that. Simeon says specifically to Mary, "A sword will pierce your own soul." He does not say it to everyone. Given that most of the rest of your post is based on this erroneous basis, it's not worth addressing.

which then means they are under a new covenant.
It doesn't mean anything of the sort.

How much more of a contract or a will be, when a sword penetrates your soul can this be.
That's both unrelated and silly.

Obviously you have missed the covenant that Christians are under 😊
Your comment is asinine, inappropriate, and erroneous.

You think that just because someone doesn't always love their enemy or their neighbour (in your opinion) that they aren't Christian? How dumb can you be and still breathe?

and again we see the sword that divides brothers,

And so the word of God does not lie 😬

More asinine silliness. It's not the truth of God that is dividing here; it's your stubbornness in asserting what it does not say.

I was kind with you in the beginning as I am militant minded. But you lost me real quick. Can't hang with you. And just because someone is ordained or a "Senior Pastor" doesn't make them right. I had a guy preaching once that you could name your own angel and wanted everyone to get up and give their personal angel a hug. Shadowy forms supposedly helped him write his books and would type it out for him. And we all had 5 angels protecting us at all times. Not 3, 4 or 6 but 5. Many associate pastors in the congregation eagerly stood up to hug and name their angels.

Red Flag, Red Flag....Everything in me was screaming demonic. And this guy had been ordained by multiple well known denominations.

thanks for your opinion and your view 😊.

To dismiss a senior pastor is to sow discord.

So once a again the word of God does not lie.

Y

You did not answer Nehemiah 6's question to you in his post #33.

What bible translation did you get your version of Luke 2:35 from ?

Every bible verse I quote from is the kjv.

"
Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you may now dismiss[d] your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

Do you see where the mother could have had a tear in her eye as she joyfully listened to the message of the lord.

Then if you look further could you see the lord was speaking this message or would that be just Simeon.

Then if you go further could you see a tear from the lord when he said a sword would pearce even his mother's soul.
