the pair of you are behaving like children,

The bible clearly states he was baptising.

Now because it was said he did not baptise in one verse, does not mean, he did not baptise in another verse. You make theses mistakes when you cherry pick.

The point is @CS1 has said Jesus never baptised at all then called people legalistic, which is not true according to the scripture I posted, separate to one you have posted Jesus baptised.

Now to further this childish behaviour @CS1 is behaving like a child with a rattle, as now he won't admit believers get given the mind of Christ.

As far as I am aware this belief is essential to knowing you are saved.. that believers get given the mind of Christ.

But yet @CS1 would rather repeat himself over and over, instead of accepting the word of God.

At some point no doubt he will resort to becoming aggressive and start name calling. Which he already has done, by calling people legalistic. He seems to have a habit of doing this.

THis is a huge plank in his own eye, that will never be removed, I would guess it's some sort of corrupted denomination hes listening too.

or he's been arguing that long arguing is a second nature to him, anyhow I hope he allows the good scripture to be approved today.

all tho I don't think he will allow the good scripture to be approved today somehow, which is a shame really. 😊

Misquoting people is a form of dishonesty. You really should stop.

Most of the time in Acts they were baptized in the name of "Jesus Christ"; however, in Acts 19:5 they were baptized in the name of the "Lord Jesus." So which is it, which is right? Or are they both right? It seems like kind of a big deal; because if someone is going to get technical and say people should only get baptized in the name of Jesus or Jesus Christ, Acts 19:5 creates a problem.
I'm sure this has something to do with why there was dispute in the bible back then ,. With how water baptism should be carried out, and has something to with why people where re baptised, I believe even after the day of pentacost, which I mentioned this morning in the spiritual baptism thread 😊

Play the victim as you like to do when one calls you on NO Biblical proof to your claim.

You can write a Book with misquotes of these where, including myself, or answer the question asked of you like an adult.

I answered you: Jesus did not water baptize anyone from what we see in Scripture. You have not provided any text to say otherwise.

Now, please continue with your buffoonery.

so in the same sentence I'm a comedian and also a person who crys wolf,

are you thinking straight, because I can't see a connection between the two hidden insults.

I guess you've learnt how to secretly insult peoples intelligence, in your walk as a pastor.

But so far I haven't seen you explain who is the person baptising in this verse

🤔

John
After this, Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. 23 Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were coming and being baptized. 24 (This was before John was put in prison.) 25 An argument developed between some of John’s disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing. 26 They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan—the one you testified about—look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.

I am going to explain something to you. And provide you two words.

1. Context
2. Authorial intent

John chapter 3: 22- 36 is not the end of the context given in the chapter and verses you are ASKING ABOUT.

Points to be made:

1. John did not write in chapters and verses that were added later to make them easy to read.
2. The context of John 3:22-36 is incomplete

If you stop at verse 36, you would have a false narrative that Jesus was baptizing. Nice games people play with the word of God

Point three: the context of Chapter 3 did not end with

john3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

You must read above the text given and after or blow the the text given.

which means Chater 4

The context continues :

What is the " Therefore " therefore?

1 Therefore, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John
2 (though Jesus Himself did not baptize, but His disciples), 3 He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. 4 But He needed to go through Samaria.

You use "therefore" when you are talking about the result of something.

verse 1 of chapter four of John doesn't provide the results that was talked about before and is going to be completed

The ending context of John chapter 3:22_36 is found in Chapter four of John at verses 1-2

Jesus did not baptize anyone in water because an eyewitness who was in Chapter 3 said so in Chapter 4 within the context of the text.

The authorial intent is to who the author was writing to, what time frame it was written in, and how we apply it today.

more deflecting,

I ain't interested in your threats to be higher in opinion than me.

And I ain't interested in you thinking you have higher authority than me.

And as for your cheap remarks. They mean nothing to my standards 😊
