This is exactly what I am doing.

Titus 1:9
Embracing that faithful word which is according to doctrine, that he may be able to exhort in sound doctrine, and to convince the gainsayers.
I do not see your name in that verse. In fact. anyone could use that verse to say they have the truth..

so you did not do what I asked you to do.

That verse is referring to all people, including me, who believe Jesus correctly. (y)

even then, we can get it wrong (I speak from experience)
the text you used says fully :

6 An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.
7 Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blamelessnot overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain.
8 Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.
9 He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

We are saved by being in the correct state of grace.
But because you are elected, you have been placed on the right side of Grace, correct? Are you a Calvinist, right?

That's what you think; I never claimed to believe that.

I was just saying anyone, even an elder. can study the word and still get it wrong..

As far is listening and saying what you were taught.. That assumes the one who taught you was correct.

that's why I'm asking you not a Calvinist?
I believe all correct doctrine which comes from God. Do you believe that means I am a Calvinist? I have never labeled myself a Calvinist.

Jesus did not say that Paul did.
Again, What did Jesus say
1 Corinthians 11:27
27 Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord.

Paul said this too.

How can anyone understand that you have correct doctrine when you can not even determine what Jesus said vs what someone else said?
