“If any man come to Me and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

So to serve the Lord I must hate my entire family.

"Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."

Which is it? Did God forget what He said maybe?

Of course God saved you and me too. You'd be daft to believe anything else. But that doesn't mean we also don't have free will. You cannot have love if you don't have free will. Which the Calvinist admits because they believe God forces people to love Him.
They are so afraid that that might save themselves. even the thought of trusting someone else to save you scares them.

Is a slave free to do whatever he wants? Was Christ wrong to say that all who commit sin are slaves to sin? Do you believe in the doctrine of original sin or not?

The problem with people like yourself is that you do not know who you are because you do not yet know the God of Holy Scripture and somehow think that there is some kind of goodness in you that you could choose God when Scripture confirms that all are spiritually dead and cursed since the Fall unless somehow you think God lied to Adam in Genesis 2:17?

Until God humbles you and brings you to wits end, you will never know Him or truly call upon Him to be saved and will be left judicially blinded to think that somehow you can save yourself.

Even worse, some of you think God is unfair if He chose any for salvation!

I AM NOT A SLAVE I am free in Christ. Some here are trying to make men slaves to a doctrine like the Pharisees did.

23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. 3 So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach.

4 They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.

5 “Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels. 6 And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. 7 They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’

8 “Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters. 9 And don’t address anyone here on earth as ‘Father,’ for only God in heaven is your Father. 10 And don’t let anyone call you ‘Teacher,’ for you have only one teacher, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you must be a servant. 12 But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

13 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people’s faces. You won’t go in yourselves, and you don’t let others enter either.

15 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert, and then you turn that person into twice the child of hell you yourselves are!

16 “Blind guides! What sorrow awaits you! For you say that it means nothing to swear ‘by God’s Temple,’ but that it is binding to swear ‘by the gold in the Temple.’ 17 Blind fools! Which is more importantthe gold or the Temple that makes the gold sacred? 18 And you say that to swear ‘by the altar’ is not binding, but to swear ‘by the gifts on the altar’ is binding. 19 How blind! For which is more important—the gift on the altar or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 When you swear ‘by the altar,’ you are swearing by it and by everything on it. 21 And when you swear ‘by the Temple,’ you are swearing by it and by God, who lives in it. 22 And when you swear ‘by heaven,’ you are swearing by the throne of God and by God, who sits on the throne.

23 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things. 24 Blind guides! You strain your water so you won’t accidentally swallow a gnat, but you swallow a camel!

25 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and self-indulgence! 26 You blind Pharisee! First wash the inside of the cup and the dish, and then the outside will become clean, too.

27 “What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people’s bones and all sorts of impurity. 28 Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

1 Timothy 6:1-5
1 Whosoever are servants under the yoke, let them count their masters worthy of all honour; lest the name of the Lord and his doctrine be blasphemed. 2 But they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but serve them the rather, because they are faithful and beloved, who are partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort. 3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that doctrine which is according to godliness. 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words; from which arise envies, contentions, blasphemies, evil suspicions, 5 Conflicts of men corrupted in mind, and who are destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness.

Jesus called us to be servants, yes, AKA minister = one who serves.

Yet you and no one else are going to tell me how to serve my Lord. The Word of God and he are more than able to do so.

I have been listening to former Calvinists on Youtube. A couple things they admit to. They said they would argue to the death because they couldn't bear to face their family and friends that they had changed their minds. They were so dogmatic, that they were ashamed to admit they were wrong. As you can see here, the dogma of the hard core Calvinists is quite hateful, the same as French pope Calvin. That alone shows this is heresy and not of God.

6 From which things some going astray, are turned aside unto vain babbling: 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither the things they say, nor whereof they affirm. 8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully: 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for the just man, but for the unjust and disobedient, for the ungodly, and for sinners, for the wicked and defiled, for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For fornicators, for them who defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and whatever other thing is contrary to sound doctrine.

Yes, exactly, thank you for making my point.

I know you don't, and that's the problem.

That's not true. You don't believe that. They can't seek God and even if they could He'd laugh at them, tell them they were created for destruction so He can show off His powers. They didn't win the salvation lottery. They are born doomed from a baby. Look at those happy baby faces, I wonder if they know God hates them and made them to live a doomed life to end up in hell.

Perhaps they don't know the real Calvin, the french pope. Perhaps they don't know he had a man put to death because he believed differently from Calvin. And he may not have been the only person Calvins opinion swayed their death sentence. I hope Calvin was giant of a man enough to repent of what he did.
Who gave you the authority to judge people and deny what God said, that amounts to accusing God of being a liar. I will pray for your soul, if you like.

Yet it does not say this, It does not say this anyplace in scripture.. Your adding to the word somethign that is not there

Oh I accept it..

1. The word hate actually is a bad term. God tells us we must HATE our parents. We must HATE our children and our spouses. Yet in the same time, God says we must love them.

The term actually means to love less.

God loves or cherished Jacob more than he did Esau. Because God set Jacob apart for a purpose.

I do accept it. why are YOU trying to change it?

And you need to back off your pride dude. Your self righteousness is filling the room with a stink!
you can add what ever expletives you like to gods Word, but it remains eternally unchanged and true to those of us who receive His Word without twisting it and changing it's meaning because we want to go soft on evil doers.

Hate means hate, it doesn't mean love watered down as your trying t push here. I must defend Gods Word when it is under attack

well lets see.

I am not arminian, Because I believe in eternal security
Yet I am not calvinist because I reject most points of Tulip

So you tell me.

Are you going to tell me what I believe?

There are many options..

My option actually consists of total free will of every human being, yet eternal security of the soul..
I'm not interested in your private opinion, opinions are like noses there are 8 billion of them out there. I'm only interested in the truth which is supported by documented facts. and all you ever do is try to sell me your narrow, incoherent, nonsensical, unfounded private opinion.
You never qualify your opinions with anything other than your self appointed expertise. Why don't you you shine the light of scripture on your opinions to see how they stand up.

You cherry pick bits and pieces out of the bible and trash those part you don't like and which expose your false doctrines. You can't mix lies with the truth to deny the true gospel and push an non existent one. You can't even describe what gospel you believe because you've crated a hybrid Armin/Calvi version and that's like mixing oil and water

The only thing dangerous is blindly following any man because they claim to be sent from God.

You want to do this, feel free.

Eternity is far to long to put my eternity in the hands of a sinner who needs or needed saved like I did
OK, so now you reject Gods order and install yourself a the highest authority. My Shepherd call this blasphemy, because it's rebellion against God and worshiping oneself instead of God.

Who is actually protecting you, are you a rouge Sheep running around thinking you can defend yourself from the hungry lion. Well I have a harbor bridge to sell you for $100 There's nothing more rebellious of sinful that a rouge sheep

Nah,

The God of the bible is a God of love, Not a God of hate that made everyone robots.\

Thats the God satan wants us to see.
You're free to chose any god you like, nobody is going to deny you the liberty to do so. But don't make false claims abut the God of the Bible, baring false witness is a grievous sin. Where does the bible ever say that "God is a God of love", God casts false witnesses into the lake of fire

There’s no such thing as a “hybrid Armin/Calvin” version of the Gospel. Why? …because the Gospel is all about Jesus Christ.

You missed the entire point about Gods hatred of some people. You appealed to an unrelated text and failed to address the problem. The dispute was about the meaning of the word "Hated" in the context of Roman 9:13 "God hated Esau".

Failing to deal with the problem and plucking verses out of their intended context and twisting their meaning to make them say something other than what God said, is sinful. Why didn't you address the disputed verse itself, instead of citing unrelated scriptures.

The Bible says that God hates some people. Romans 9:13 says that God hated Esau before Esau was even born, because Esau had inherited Adam's hatred of God, and God was not pleased to elect Esau to salvation.
Psalm 5:5 says, "The arrogant cannot stand in Your presence; You hate all who do wrong." Notice that is it not some abstract "sin" or "wickedness" that God hates in this verse; it is people whom He hates.

You tried to say the word "hate' is only used in one context in the Bible, but there are more than one. So we need to face the truth even if we don't like it.

In Luke 14:26 we find Jesus saying that we must hate the members of our own families if we want to follow Him.
While in the parallel passage in Matthew 10:37, Jesus says we must love them less than we love Him.

That kind of "soft" explanation, however, won't work in the verse regarding Esau. God did not love Esau less than Jacob; He did not love Esau in any saving way at all.
