I know y’all are just discussing semantics but you’re making it a lot harder than it is.

My posts are there for all to see.
Yes, and your posts prove beyond any shadow of a doubt you are doing the very thing you deny

The scripture in Acts 2:38 states you SHALL receive, it does not mean instantly. This is confirmed in various detailed conversation accounts. Scripture reveals, over and over, that both water baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost are necessary. The order in which the experiences take place does not matter.
And here you go again, Proving you do what I claim you do. yet you will still deny it

Salvation is by grace THROUGH faith. Obedient faith is not works of the law.
So if I am obedient in faith and obey a command in the law. it is different than if I am obedient in faith to some other law?

Your all over the place. You can not say we are saved by grace through faith, and then add works.. No matter if these are obedient works or selfish works.

Grace and works can not mix,

As soon as you say "obedient" faith, you "add" obedience/works which "follows" having been saved by grace through faith, not works, to salvation by grace through faith, not works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) You try to "shoehorn" works "into" salvation through faith, not works, but the shoe does not fit. It's not simply specific works of the law that do not save but works in general. (Romans 4:5-6; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9)
Again

Paul calls them fools. Having begin in the spirit (faith) then trying to perfect in the flesh (works)

The sum of God's word reveals the truth. All are free to accept or reject what is revealed there. (Acts 2:4-42, 8:12-18, 9:17-18, 10:43-48, 19:1-7, 22:16)

Grace and works can not mix,
God's grace is seen in that He provided what man did nothing to deserve; a way to experience what Jesus died to provide.

You miss the point. The Bible says many things. However, the SUM of God's word means no one scripture explains everything relative to topics such as, believing in Jesus, water baptism, etc. Truth is revealed through study of ALL related scriptures.

An example, the Bible says, Jesus commanded His disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Matt. 28:19) However, the truth concerning what He was talking about comes to light upon examination of how His apostles obeyed that command. There is not one scripture of His apostles using the phrase while water baptizing people. His apostles obeyed His command by invoking His name during water baptism. Also, not all scriptures mention that one's sin is remitted upon obedience. However, there are scriptures that explain the NT water baptism, preceded by repentance, was for the purpose of remitting sin in association with Jesus' sacrifice.

Grace and works can not mix,
Grace without obedience leads to death.

Those who refused to gaze upon the snake, regardless of why, were doomed.

Labeling the gazing as a "work" was no excuse.

John 3:14-16
14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

We may debate what is to be obeyed but certainly not the need to obey.

Oh the delight of presenting our explanations and arguments for pages on end. It’s true that there is some pleasure in being able to participate in a discussion and gaining insight, even revelation in these discussions over lengthy periods of time. In fact, there are scholars and brilliant theologians in the halls of many a school and discussion platforms that are the best in the world at what they do.

Grace and works can not mix,
Amen!
Grace without obedience leads to death.
"Grace Through faith" (Ephesians 2:8-9 AV), Is God's Requirement
for Eternal Life, Under Grace Today, not the law of works, yesterday:

"And if By Grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise Grace
is no more Grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more Grace:
otherwise work is no more work." (Romans 11:6 AV)
Thus, believing/trust/faith Is 'obedience' Unto Eternal Life, Then:

'good works' Is for rewards At Judgment (1 Corinthians 3:8-15 AV),
by 'obedience' of allowing/submitting to Christ Living In us, To Fulfil:

All Of His Law, In "One Word: Love thy neighbor as thyself!"
Amen.

In this whole thread, about 95% of the posters discount, the power of God to help you. I’m amazed there is absolutely no faith in God from these great expositors and great discussers and arguers.

I think there may be quite a lot of confusion, in this Thread!

I've always thought that our "WORKS" would be, primarily, spreading the GOSPEL in any way we possibly can?!!

"Grace Through faith" (Ephesians 2:8-9 AV), Is God's Requirement
for Eternal Life, Under Grace Today, not the law of works, yesterday:
God is not bound to extend grace to the disobedient.
And we are certainly not covered by grace by faith alone. James 2:24
And we are certainly not considered righteous by faith alone. James 2:24

The healing grace was only extended to those who obeyed.
There is no way around this simple Biblical truth.

Again we may debate what needs to be obeyed but not the need to obey.
Agreed???
