As a new member, I'm not just here to observe, but to actively contribute and assist in any way possible. While I may not be a scholar, my 57 years as a Christian have equipped me with knowledge and experience that I'm eager to share. I look forward to being a part of this community and making a meaningful contribution.
There are a few things I believe that may be controversial to some:
One of my core beliefs is eternal security (OSAS), a topic I'm always open to discussing.
I believe in a Pretribulational rapture of the Church, a belief that the Church will be taken up to heaven before a period of great tribulation on earth.
I firmly believe the King James Bible is the only preserved Word of God in English. I understand this is a contentious issue for many, but I have seen compelling evidence to support this belief. https://truthischrist.com

Welcome to CC

Those topics mentioned have been viciously debated for years on this site. It's unlikely you'll bring anything new that will sway anyone. But if mean spirited disagreement is your thing then you'll fit right in. If that's not your thing, well, i hope you have thick skin. It gets rough in the BDF (bible discussion forum).
Just a friendly heads up.

Ya know?
The Messianic Jews of South Africa have translated one of my favorite Bible translations I use all the time. It gets me away from the tired American perspective I hear all the time which is kinda boring.

This translation was once known as ISR now it has a new name and the date is 2009 on the translation....but it's essentially the same.

Jews do know about being Jewish....

Hi Hammer.
We shared that nickname.
In highschool they called me Hammer.

I only use the King James Bible too.

Thank you for the welcome.
I'm not necessarily looking for a debate, especially anything vicious. I believe that a respectful exchange of ideas is crucial, and a believer should be neither vicious nor mean-spirited.
I wanted to put myself out there and tell people where I stand on core issues.
I hope you don't think that I sound mean-spirited.

I did not think you sounded mean spirited. I was simply warning you of what to expect. I've seen numerous people over the years quit the site because of the BDF. Some after just one day. Many have tried to calm it and get people to be nicer, but it's never even made a dent. But it's also the single busiest sub-forum on the site.

No, I'm afraid not. lol
I am of Irish descent, and my name is Mark, from Marcus. "Marcus is a traditionally masculine name with Gaelic and Latin roots. It can mean "polite," "shining," and "hammer."
I opened a Facebook group Called "The Hammer Group For The Preservation Of The True Gospel," based on the following verse from Jeremiah.
"Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?" (Jeremiah 23:29 KJB)

Mark, these are excellent traits for Bible discussion so go out there and hopefully you don't break your hammer.
