Mid-Life Crisis who has gone through it

What are your experiences with this? At what age? what did you experience? what did you learn?

some body pains here & there but they're always gone in a flash.

For my midlife crises, I joined an Anglican religious order but after a period of time I found I was unsuited for that kind of life.

I bought purple temporary hair dye and learned to stupid-flirt with men a decade my junior.

Don't you judge me people, it was cheaper than buying a motorcycle! 😌

I actually did buy a motorcycle….haha gas scooter 155 cc it it does 80 mph and I take in the freeway

I'm guessing I haven't had a mid life crisis. I haven't bought a motorcycle or a sports car, nor have I chased women half my age.

Should I feel like I've been cheated out of this mid life adventure?

I don't think I've been through a mid-life crisis (yet,) but I do have lingering feelings of, "I wish I were more adventurous like when I was younger."

Back then, I thought one of my life's ambitions was to travel the globe. Enter the onset of severe problems with motion sickness, claustrophobia (I can only stand being crammed in a tiny airplane seat for about 6 hours max,) and a general disdain for the expense and hassle that travel has become, and I've pretty much turned into a reluctant homebody.

Instead of going and seeing things like the pyramids in Egypt or the Great Wall of China like I dreamed of in the past, now I watch YouTube videos documenting sites that were formerly on my bucket list.

I also wasn't counting on being single, and figured I'd have a spouse to travel with. But that didn't pan out either.

However, I know a few other singles much more adventurous than I, and maybe with a little coaxing , I might find myself tagging along on a few of their milder adventures.

We're talking about a small road trip for the next meetup, but she's a bit out of the way.

Unless she goes flying again and lands right in the way again, like she did this time.

Sushi would have to be on the sideline, as burgers would be my main choice of prey.

I think I was too busy to ever have a mid-life crisis. Plus, despite a very far from perfect life, I was content in Christ. Because I didn't experience it, I don't really understand what leads a person down that path, but I suspect it has something to do with a feeling of missing out or lack of fulfillment in ones life. Despite the cross(es) that I bore in life and the difficulties I encountered along the way, I knew fulfillment in Christ and faithfully await an even greater fulfillment at a later time in the presence of our Savior.

For anybody who wants to go through a midlife crisis, I hear the massimo e spider is pretty handy. Gets up to 50 miles an hour and apparently street legal.

My midlife crisis, if I've had one, came shortly after salvation. Who knew that all the things that make you successful in this world help so little in the kingdom of God?

More than 10 years ago when i was going through a rough time at my job, i got into fitness phase for a couple of years and did a Spartan Race.
I did it to release all the frustration. In that journey i met a lot of other midlife crisis men who were trying to either escape something from their lives or maybe trying to show that they were "still young".
Overall, the race was good physically but since all problems arise from the mind, i had to address that eventually and not run around the problem anymore.
Which led me into a shift into mindset in regards to work and appreciation.

I'm almost 83 and I'm still waiting for my midlife.
