Over the past 50+ years, several times, sometimes several times a year, sometimes just a couple of times. Now I study it via the postings of others.

Several times. I don't keep track of how many times. I read scriptures every morning.

Amen, that’s amazing. I’m doing most of my studying via the Bible app on my iPad and I can toggle through different translations on a whim which makes it so amazing. I usually read the new King James and something and if something is technical, I don’t quite get I switch over to NIV.

I want to read my Bible
From cover to cover
Line by line
Over and over
The more I read the more I find
The more I uncover
Stories just like mine
And then I discover
I want to read my Bible
From cover to cover

Six or seven. Lost count. My wife and I take turns reading the entire bible, a couple pages a day until complete. Each time we start a bible reading project we use a different version to get a better overall perspective. Been on this current reading over a year and hope to complete by the end of the year. At the end of this project it will be my turn to read. Not sure what version that I will use as of yet.

The old testament 50-100 times, give or take a few, and the new testament 500 times, give or take a 100. That's just an estimate, mind you, but probably pretty close.
That's a lot of reading, brother. :)

This is touching and warms my heart. Couple goals! The last relationship I was in, which was with a Christian, I was told I couldn't even talk about the Lord. A couple that reads the Bible together is an admirable and strong couple imo.
Also, I read different translations too. I feel it's helpful to do that.

How about yourself? Curious.

I’m jsut got back to faith in 20 years and it’s been only 2 months and I’m done with half and Genesis and I skipped to the New Testament and finished Mathew , Mark and 1/2 Luke .

That excludes all the other parts. I’ve been jumping around here and there during my studies.

If I have any questions, I just asked ChatGPT and then it directs me exactly exactly to where the Bible tells me to go go

never. i study the books of the Bible that relate to how God correlates with me. i have read portions of the "story" books, ( isaiah, job, jeremiah, etc ), as i call them, i don't have an attraction to them. on the other hand, the story books are what my wife really goes for. i totally go for the "life's lesson" books, psalms, proverbs, james, etc)

Until I read it straight through, I felt much like you do. If you read it straight through, marking to places you want to study more, you will find many more life lessons.
