So glad the Lord led you here Lyra78, you will find many who are willing to share and encourage each other here! One of my fave passages is 'Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus' Phil 4:6-7. We believers are to live 'by faith' in every word/promise God has given us, and stick to it, bc He is faithful. Welcome and God bless & keep you🌹🙏✝✡

I wouldn't mind at all. I am leaving for work now, but you can always post something here or on my profile page, and I will respond as soon as I am able to.

Also, I am probably going to become a paying member tonight, and that will allow me to have private messaging privileges. I mention that just in case you would not feel comfortable discussing anything in public. Have a blessed day, and we can hopefully talk later.

I am worried about my salvation. Hear me out, so I admit to many wrongs, and have been baptized but I worry about losing my salvation. Especially now, in this season, because I have a lot of time to reflect. I have a lot of time because in my workplace, there is basically not a lot to do. I am a Receptionist at a manufacturing company. I am given little to do and so, I feel worthless. I also sit alone and rarely communicate with my coworkers. For many hours. I feel like a security guard, really. Then I compare it to my life, and think "am I going to Hell, is it a void, is it this abyss where all you do it think about past failures and there is no hope?" I am distressed by these thoughts. I really don't know how else to explain my struggle and hope this comparison is not true. I also read in the Bible that the gatekeepers were highly trusted people, and that maybe this is some form of ministry or God wishes to teach me patience.

sorry to hear of you issue & i wish you well soon. the Christian definition of anxiety is misplaced priorities in life. r u a born again christian? if not, consider becoming 1 immediately. this is always the 1st step in improving life. Jesus is the answer to everything. He may have a miracle waiting for you concerning this subject! & at no cost!!! as i always say, get in your most comfortable quiet place & talk to Jesus. don't rush anything. pinpoint the characteristics of the issue, in other words, break it down so you have a "step by step" process to work on. i call it Admit, Identify, Recognize, Correct. tap into your "self-help" abilities.

Hello sister. Your not failure. My discernment is, you lack knowledge of God's word. Im not judging anyone.
I failed trade school and police written test, 1990s. I was in special education through school system. My earthy father thought I might have gift to succeed. My gifts are spiritual. I made plenty of mistakes in my life. I converted to Christianity in 1999. Studying under pastor for over 20 years.

What are you saying? Jesus called me out of the world to serve Him. Some Christians are called and chosen. Other's have Spirit of slumber. Luke chapter 9
How Jesus sent his disciples out to preach the gospel. Taught them how to handle failure. ' If people do not welcome you, shake off the dust off your feet, when you leave there town, as a testimony against them. Body of Christ plants seeds for God, if the individual rejects the truth, it's on there head. If they reject Jesus salvation. The individual is accountable for themselves. If they don't accept Gods word, move on, and plow forward.
It could seem like failure , if Christian is rejected after witnessing for Jesus. We can't take it personally. We're servants of God, we do the bidding of Jesus, our master. What appears to be failure is badge of honor. Failure might make us run away or give up. We can't. Jesus is counting on the body of Christ.
We must face our mistakes and failures in life. Too be servants for Jesus. Psalm chapter 46
God is our refuge and strength as ever present help in trouble. 46:2
Therefore we will not fear, through the earth give away, and the mountains fall into the seas. Body of Christ has Jesus for protection. Why fear Satan and his realm. God gives wisdom and knowledge to those who seek it. By studying Bible, and ask Jesus to reveal scripture that you have difficulty understanding.
46:5
God is with her, she will not fall. God wil help her break of day. Lean on Jesus for protection and comfort.
Proverbs chapter 10
The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled, the hope of the godly will be granted. Those who love, and serve God have a foundation. The wicked have no foundation, no hope, they reject Jesus salvation and the truth. Walking in darkness leads to destruction. Foundation of the godly is wisdom, knowledge, hope, faith and obiedence to God.
16:21
The wise of heart shall be called prudent and the sweetness of the lips increase learning. Godly women and men are spiritual, we are led by the Spirit. The wicked are none of this. They have unclesn Spirit. Godly Christian people seek knowledge of God's word, and achieve spiritual growth. Wicked are like Thorn bushes. There is no comfort from it. Meaning, its Worthless.
24:5
A wise man is full of strength, and man of knowledge Enhances his might. Sister, your not failure. Godly Christian people seek Jesus protection and knowledge. Wicked are failures. They choose to follow Satan and stay in darkness. Sister, stay strong in the Faith, and steadfast.

Remember Psalm 46.5. God is with her, she will not fall God will help her break of day. Sister, you can achieve enhancement, while the wicked keep running deeper into darkness. Lean on Jesus.
I hope this helps. Peace.

Not sure if you can see what I wrote earlier, but worried about losing my salvation. Also, how do you know you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you?

Hi, Lyra.

I am at work now, so I only have a moment.

From what you described, it sounds as if you feel useless, and I have felt that way many times myself. In fact, that feeling is a major reason why I joined this forum. In other words, to hopefully be able to minister to or help others.

I don't believe that what you described is worthy of hell, but I do believe that God has a function for all of us within the body of Christ. It just seems that you aren't sure of your particular calling yet.

I have to return back to work now, and I will not really be free to talk for about another 4 1/2 hours. I will try to give you a more thought out response then.

In the interim, I will be praying for you.

Precious friend, if you have trusted In Christ, In His Death, Burial, And Resurrection
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4 AV), then there is no need to 'worry'. Please Be Very Richly
Encouraged, Edified, And Comforted In Christ, And His Word Of Truth, for you:

God's OPERATION On All New-born babes In Christ!

Amen.

Hello sister. Romans chapter 8 . If the Spirit of Christ dwells in you. 2 Corinthians chapter 4. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. In whom god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.
Romans chapter 8
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh, but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Wicked have unclesn Spirit. This group are Reprobates. They hate Jesus and the truth. Romans chapter 1 to document.

Other people have Spirit of slumber, Romans chapter 11 to document. When Christians plant seeds for God, Jesus might germinate those seeds. If individual has spiritual blinders on, only Jesus can give the person holy Spirit.

If I have Holy Spirit? Do you love Jesus and enjoy studying the Bible. Can you understand deep truth of Gods word.
Only Jesus can give holy Spirit to individual.

You can’t lose your salvation. So don’t worry about that. If you have Christ, you have the Holy Spirit. There’s no need to doubt that either!
