You miss the point. Believing Christ for our salvation is the rest.
2nd time with this question: did anyone keep the OT Sabbath apart from faith?
I don't think I am the one missing the point. Christ is our salvation rest but in Christ rest there is no sin including not obeying the 4th commandment. Read Isa 48:18. The Sabbath is a commandment of God thus saith the Lord. In Christ rest there is only peace, not rebellion to any of His commandments. Its actually the whole point of Hebrews 4.

We can't keep any law without faith or love. If we try to keep the law without love, its works.

I don't know why there are so many posts in this topic. I always heard that Christians worship their God on the Sabbath.

Didn't I just answer this question a couple days ago?

I can do nothing on my own but through Christ everything is possible Phil 4:13, including obedience to Him and His commandments, because its not me doing, it is Christ doing John 14:15-18 we just need to cooperate with Him through love and faith. Its what the New Covenant is about God's law written on our heart and it is based on Him doing- He said I will write My law in our hearts. But rebelling against God's law is not how we cooperate with Him.
so once you reach that stage then you can be a witness to Us and the right to tell us how to get to that stage.

Yes! Amen. "believing in Christ" is the Sabbath Rest of The NC. As per Hebrews 4

Welcome to CC!

Ancient Israelites were commanded to cease from their labours on the Sabbath, which would correspond to sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. Christians are not so commanded.

Some Christians call Sunday 'the Sabbath' but that is erroneous and has no biblical basis. Most Christians gather for their weekly fellowship/service/worship on Sundays in remembrance that Jesus rose on the first day of the week.

Then why are you on the forum, why is anyone here, since we all have sinned?
The apostles still sinned even right before Jesus went to the Cross, yet they were still preaching. Its what repentance is about. A Christ follower should not be living in perpetual sin. If we slip and fall we should immediately ask for God's forgiveness, sin should be painful because of what it did to Christ on the cross, if its not, I would consider spending a lot more time in prayer.

Really? Why is Jesus referred to as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world?
I made it clear that God knows the begining from the end and i didn't say God didn't have the plan ready to go, Jesus was ready to die from the start. Are you saying God created provisions for a sinful world, when He created this sinless and perfect world?
To correctly keep the Sabbath, Christ must be in view.
Jesus must be in veiw when it comes to everything good.
Jesus saves us from sin but He does not say to continue in sin.
We agree on justification by faith but you don't think all of the moral law should be obeyed.

This sinful woman found rest. Her condemnation was taken away. BUT Jesus said go and sin no more.
Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

All of the 10 commandments were part of Gods plan before and after the fall....

Before the fall God expected us to

have no other gods before Him. Not make any graven image, or any likeness of any thing, not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God. Not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Honour thy father and thy mother, not kill, not commit adultery, not steal, not bear false witness against thy neighbour, not covet.

God did not change when Adam sinned. The standards didn't change, God didn't change, the rules didn't change, WE CHANGED.

After the fall God still expected us to obey the principles above.
I disagree from the stand point of Genesis.

Adam was given a command to not eat from the tree.

There is nothing in Genesis about the ten commandments being given to Adam.

I would advise you to stick to the scripture and pay no attention to myths.

Its what the Sabbath is all about, keeping the day holy focusing on Christ Isa 58:13 instead of shopping, working out, gardening, watching TV, housework or anything else that keeps our minds off Christ. Christ knows we need to get these things done which is why He gives us 6 days to get our works and labors done asking for us to cease from our works as God did at Creation on the seventh day to rest with God, focusing on Him, through prayer, church, reading His Word, just the way Christ kept the Sabbath, just the way the apostles kept the Sabbath. We are to be followers of Christ and obey Him through faith and love.
Amen and it is a wonderful blessing.

Are there Christians who believe the Sabbath is Monday?

I doubt it.

The Catholic "church" claims to have the authority to change the Sabbath to Sunday, but it is wrong about that as it is about a great many other things.

In Christ is a position, not a disposition. Those in Christ still commit sin or there would be no reason to confess our sin.

Walking in the Spirit is what lends itself to our obedience. But when a Christian isn't walking in the Spirit, they remain in Christ. They simply forfeit the benefits of the position.

3rd try: has anyone ever kept the OT Sabbath apart from faith?

Why not just worship on the Sabbath and not worry about what others do?

I was taught that Christianity is 24/7.

We worship Jesus every day and night.

No special day for worship in Christianity, we don't honor a day, a week, a month, or even a year.

I agree with the latter part of your statement.

The former part is essentially sound as well, but people disagree on what "worship on the Sabbath" means for Christians. I and many others believe that the requirement to observe a seventh-day Sabbath has been fulfilled in Christ, and that our true Sabbath rest is in Him.

Some believe that Christians are required to observe the Sabbath according to the Old Testament law. I believe they are wrong. :)

Are Christians obligated to observe the Sabbath in the New Testament?

The sabbath is a rest from six days of work. That is the letter of the law (Exodus 20).

Gentile Christians have always gathered for worship on Sunday by tradition.

But Sunday observance can be any day of the week.

Your church can meet on a Wednesday and a Friday.
