Seeing how we are in the singles forum.......I've came up with a poll. Don't worry you married folks I got some boxes for you too. I think this could be fun and would like to see what box moves up as time passes. I hope you play and enjoy.

Ummmm..... Jake, did you check all the boxes on purpose, or was that a axi-dent? 🤔

I looked for my option - single, but all you minglers keep it down over there because I'm trying to take a nap - but strangely I didn't find that particular choice in the poll.

What a super fun poll!! This was awesome, @Talljake! I loved that there were plenty of options for our married friends, too.

However, I have to admit I was a bit conflicted as to which answers I should pick.

I wanted to check the "I'm married, just kidding" box, but I figured people would be like, "Lord have mercy on anyone who would get tricked into marrying HER!!!"

I DID choose the answer about meeting the love of my life and they just don't know it. Well, maybe they know it -- but they're still running. :D

So if I combine that answer and the last one about mentioning a food item, you have my true answer: if you ever have a chance to try @RodB651's burgers, I guarantee you will want to put a ring on that meal -- and marry it.

I skip the buns -- just so I can have more burgers!

I've found my "Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love" all right -- and hopefully, @RodB651 is about to flip them all over on the grill!!

I don't have space for more. They only let me have what I have down .
The old CC system used to allow for something like 40 answers... But I think this new one only lets you do about 10.

It's challenging enough writing polls... Now there's the double challenge of trying to pick the "best"/most suitable answers...

But I'm happy to see others still find it to be a lot of fun! :D

Great job, Jake!!!

(Please excuse my vast amount of exuberance and praise. It's just very rare to find another poll-writer here so it's definitely worth celebrating.) :D

High five!!

OH MAN.

I just got the idea to write a parody forum about being a "Poll Dancer"... along with a funny poll (of course) about how many of us enjoy "dancing around" the subjects brought up in polls, answering polls, thinking of subjects for polls, etc.

BUT... Seeing as this is a Christian forum, I wouldn't want any newbies to get the wrong idea so... Alas.

Yet another one of my oddball ideas must be shelved.

Sadness.

Why not? You did a poll about the gift of tongs. Why stop there?

Unfortunately, the practical side of my brain is coming up with more than a few reasons:

1. This site is searchable to anyone. Imagine searching for a "Christian Website" and getting an answer emblazoned with, "Do YOU Enjoy Poll Dancing?!"

2. Many people, especially nowadays, don't know the differences between "poll" and "pole" and will think they're the same thing.

3. Even if they do know the difference, they're going to assume the worst and think the thread is about "the other kind of pole dancing."

4. The most zealous -- whether they do or don't realize there is a difference in spelling in meaning, and especially those not familiar with how things go here in Singles -- are going to automatically rush right in and make proclamations of condemnation without ever reading the OP.

5. Some will read the OP and not care because they'll jump at the opportunity to condemn people anyway. I mean, who could ever stoop so low as to think a subject like pole dancing could be parodied! (Me, that's who.) Lol -- which tells people everything they need to know about me.

So alas.

While I think such a thread would be EPIC, I don't want to disrespect the admin or cause our poor faithful mod all the trouble. :(

Yeah... I lose a lot of good thread ideas this way -- to common sense -- and it's such a tragedy, I know.
